We loved the location of the house. It was a quick drive in to Asheville, and we were very excited that you could walk out of the door and be only a five-minute walk from the Mountains-to-Sea Trail along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The house itself was comfortably furnished, and the hot tub was great.
The kitchen has the basics in terms of cooking implements, but guests need to bring their own staples.

We really enjoyed the fenced in yard and the house was the perfect size for our family. The owners were very responsive if we had questions. We will definitely stay there again!

Such a comfortable home and so close to all of the Asheville activities. Somewhat private in the trees and very quiet road while we were there. Great patio space and the hot tub was great after long days of exploring.

we had a great time at Rodney's house - it's perfect for a family with kids and ours loved the toys and it was so nice they had gates on all the stairs and the yard was perfect. It feels very secluded but was very accessible to everywhere in town.

House was very clean. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is provided.

Myself, my cousin and my son are in Asheville for the week for work and this was a nice place to cook squash sleep unwind in the evening after work

This home feels like you are out there in the woods but is also close to downtown Asheville and even closer to Ingles which is great since we cooked most meals at the home. Owners were very responsive when we needed assistance with locating the outside lights. We would stay again

House is in a great location very convenient to necessities, great views, comfortable and relaxing. Owners very responsive and informative. Check in and check out super easy... Recommend this home to anyone wanting to get away and re-charge...

We planned this trip at the last minute and could not have been happier with the cabin. It was more than we needed for the 2 of us, but the price and location could not be beat. The space was comfortable and location was convenient. Would definitely come back and stay again.

This cabin is in a great location close to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge. We came to spend Christmas with family in the area and had a great time staying here. Our hosts were super attentive with communication and check-in accommodations, and even set up a little Christmas tree for us, which was very sweet and thoughtful. My only critique is the hefty cleaning fee on top of paying a lot per night. However, we had such a great experience on this property, which was fully equipped for people who wanted to spend time there comfortably and we brought our two dogs, so I can understand. The yard is fully fenced in and has a cool treehouse and hot tub, both of which we used and loved. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely reserve again.

My husband, kids, and I booked a stay here for our first trip to Asheville, and it was the most relaxing trip we’ve had in a very long time! The location is just perfect: an easy 12 minutes from downtown Asheville but tucked away in a woodsy, enchanting, super quiet location.
The fenced-in yard was so helpful to have since we brought our dog. The hot tub was a lovely perk after a long day of hiking (check out the Blue Ridge Parkway and Craggy Gardens) and exploring the city (I’ve listed some of our favorite spots below.) There is also a hiking trail directly across the road, which was a nice way to start each morning after observing some glorious sunrises.
The *only* thing about this property that I would request is an update to the couch in the main room / den. We all laughed when we sat down because we sunk pretty far in and definitely were not expecting that! We didn’t spend much time in front of the television while on our trip because there was too much to see and you, but when we did, we all fought over who got to sit in the recliner.
The owners were great at communicating and answering our questions. We are already looking
at dates to return!
Downtown Asheville highlights (with a family of 4:)
Wicked Weed Brewing
Chai Pani (best meal of my life)
Green Man Brewing
Retrocade in West Asheville (two floors of retro and modern video games— unlimited play all day for $10!)
French Broad Chocolate Factory tour and tasting ($12 for adults, I think $8 for kids)

We had the best weekend at Duckers Corner! The house was so clean and checking in/out was super easy. There was more than enough space for our group in the home. The outdoor spaces (decks, fire pit, and hot tub) were the biggest hit. We utilized the van shuttle service listed in the guest book and it was a great, easy, and convenient recommendation. The location is so close to downtown (15 minutes) but feels so private. We even saw black bears! The owners were so helpful, attentive, and responsive. We truly had a great weekend!

My family had a wonderful time at this property. The house was exactly as listed and had everything we needed to destress from life while on fall break. It accommodated our four legged family member too. Morning spent watching the sunrise over the mountain whilst drinking coffee on the desks, afternoons watching movies, hiking on nearby trails or on trails at close state parks, and evenings in the hot tub or out and about. Proximity to Ashville, blue ridge parkway, and Biltmore made this place perfect for us. Thanks for the last minute opportunity to make ur home ours.

Close enough to all the Asheville fun yet nestled in the mountains so in the country and has a lovely view-feels homey :)
5 adults and 2 dogs stayed and we fit very well. The fenced in yard was awesome to have, hikes right across the street or within a short drive, ate meals there regularly w everything needed as well as the rest of the home stocked w basics you don’t want to pack.
Host communication was great and very friendly! We already plan on returning!

Nice older home, tucked in the mountain side not far out of town. Very close to the Blueridge park way and stores. Just a short drive to downtown or outlets. Lots of stairs as mentioned in posting, and driveway parking can be a bit tricky definitely read the owners recommendations' for parking and try to show up during daylight hours. I saw a trail across the road but unfortunately didn't have time to walk it, the hot tub was relaxing. The house is in nature so be warned lots of bugs/spiders OUTSIDE only but they will try to sneak in at night with the lights on. We would stay again, it was a great location.

This lovely home was just perfect for our stay. Being dog-friendly with a fenced yard was so nice. The well-stocked kitchen and close proximity to Ingles grocery allowed us to cook most meals at the house. The property is so welcoming and comfy with such a cool vibe..it felt just like home. We took advantage of the relaxing hottub and also made a nice fire in the firepit. My daughter took a video of the impressive Dr Suess mural. The homeowners are very accommodating and generous with thoughtful ammenities.

Cozy but spacious! Felt like an extension of home. Took the whole family on the hall creek lookout trail connected literally next to the house. Couldn’t ask for a more accommodating host. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ducker’s View. From the great communication to the relaxing hot tub — we would welcome another stay at this nestled nature home in Asheville. Don’t miss the chance to stay in a very Seussical kids’ room! Also: very accessible to all areas of Asheville.

Easy acces to town and clean. A little dated, but we would definitely stay again. The Hosts were great with communication and we had everything we needed.

We saw a BEAR!!!! After turning on the gravel road to the house, a bear began climbing a tree next to the road. Beautiful surroundings, very quiet, except for the bull frogs who were singing. Easy access to Asheville. We enjoyed the stay and your hospitality. Thank you!

Secluded house with fenced in yard. Kids played non-stop outside when we were home, they loved their bedroom, and you can see them in the treehouse while in the Jacuzzi. We hiked on trails right across the street and it was close to downtown. I will recommend to friends and will stay at again when I return!

Great cabin located near downtown & River Arts district. Perfect for quick access to intown fun combined with mountain cabin relaxation, views, hiking, & wildlife!

5/5 adult rating, 11/5 toddler rating! This was an absolute gem of a find for a family with a toddler. The house was perfectly equip to entertain and awe a 2.5 year old, with all the gear a parent could need and toys, a play set and a sandbox that a toddler could want. The house is comfortable, stocked with the basics to cook breakfast/dinner and be a crash point for nap time. This house is located 5 min from a grocery store, 7 min to a playground, awesome Nature Center, 12-15 min into Asheville, 8 min to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be sure to head to Highland Brewery for a great family-friendly time. Rodney was super responsive and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

This was the needed break from being in the city that I needed. I slept soundly as it was so quiet. It was beautiful to wake up to the mountain view in the morning and enjoy coffee on the deck. Finally the hot tub was fantastic as well, I just wish I had more time to enjoy it.

We loved our stay here. The location was exactly what we had in mind. Loved the close access to trails. And the view each morning was incredible! House was unique, clean, and exactly as described!

The house was beautiful with views from every part of the house of the mountains. Lots of space , and everything you need for a big family!

Very convenient to Asheville and Chimney Rock. The home suited us perfectly.

Our party of 5 felt very comfortable staying at this remote yet close to town house. We loved having our dogs along for the vacation thanks to the fenced in yard. We loved the surrounding woods from the beautiful deck every morning, and the kids enjoyed the hot tub almost daily. The house isn't the newest most updated place we've stayed, but we felt right at home and had a lovely trip. We saw a bear in the surrounding neighborhood which was exciting for us, but we were thankful to be in the car! Thank you for letting us experience your wonderful home at a reasonable price. Hope to visit again soon!

This was one of the best family vacations we've had! Our two young children loved the playhouse, big yard, toys, and Dr. Seuss themed room. We also loved the hot tub and serenity of the woods! The house had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, showers we're hot (including the jet tub- the whole family LOVED that!). We went on walks in the woods, and I loved doing yoga on the deck as the sun rose over the mountains. The location was perfect- we explored Asheville and Black Mountain (a little ways out but totally worth a day trip!). After our kids went to bed we got delivery from delicious downtown restaurants....it was awesome how secluded we felt, but still had the amenities of being right in Asheville. Rodney and Katie, thank you so much for sharing your corner of heaven with us...We can't wait to come back!!

This property was very easy to access. It was just a couple of miles down the road from anything you would need, but it still had the illusion of being in a treehouse.
As a party of five (parents from Florida, myself, husband and ten year old son coming from northern Ohio) it was just the right size and with all the amenities you could possibly need.
Downtown Asheville is close as well as the Biltmore and a lot of dining choices, and the Haw Creek Overlook trail is a great hike with a fantastic view.
We also got to see a bear!

The location of the property was not only convenient to everything we needed, it was an absolutely beautiful setting with wonderful views of the mountains and the woods. The layout was very sufficient for our needs, and if we still had small children, the Dr. Seuss was incredible. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook meals in, which we did the whole time. The grill was also very handy. The living room furniture was very comfortable and could accommodate a family nicely. The hot tub was such a nice bonus, especially after a day of hiking. The trail across the street was such a convenient access to the mountain to sea trail that follows part of the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Worth the hike to Lunch Rock with a beautiful view and great place to recline before the return hike.

Location was great, loved the trail that is right across the street from the house. Beautiful location. Hot tub was nice. Beds were uncomfortable for my partner with back problems.

This is our second time back and we love staying here! Great location, really clean property. We love the fenced yard, the trails and the kids playhouse. Our family had so much fun.
4.8
We really enjoyed our mid week get away. The serenity of the mountains, the culture and art downtown, and the jacuzzi to close out every evening. It's perfect when you want to get away from it all. Plus, Rodney and Katie are very close should you need anything. (Even a 8 pm visit to turn on lights we could not get to work, THANKS AGAIN!)

We enjoyed staying at this cabin. The weather made for a cold stay since the heat pump couldn’t really keep up with the low temperatures. Was a little tight for 5 adults but we managed fine. Hostess/host responded great to a couple concerns and we appreciated that.
4.8
This our 3rd time staying at Duckers. The property is clean and we'll maintained. The view off the deck is beautiful. We had a wonderful time as always and will definitely be back.
