About this house rental
'C' Street Retreat is located in Hood River Oregon just above Jackson Park in walking distance from 10 Speed Coffee Roasters and the Taqueria. While we don't have a wonderful view to boast about the 'C' Street retreat is located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful trees in all directions. While you are out walking you can capture breath taking views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams in just moments from the house. License #410
Hood River is ideal for relaxing, wine tasting, biking, and it's about 10 minutes from Post Canyon. 'C' Street Retreat is on a lot shared with two other cute little homes and the grassy area is a 'shared' area. It's a great place for kids to run and ride bikes on the paved patio area.

In town for a long weekend, this home was well appointed and made our stay in Hood River enjoyable. Photos of the home don't do it justice ;-) It's more spacious and well kept, and better appointed than expected. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

The place was great but the beds were super uncomfortable and we ran into lots of spiders and ants inside. Other than that, it was clean and in a great location!

Comfortable and walkable property to local restaurants, and easy walk or quick drive to downtown Hood River.

Lovely new construction in the Hood River heights. Very well equipped and clean. Mixed neighborhood construction but extremely quiet and peaceful. Short drive to downtown HR. Window A/C units but very effective during a hot month. Only negative for me was the absence of outdoor seating/eating or balcony/patio space. Parking may be fairly tight for larger vehicles. Neighbors Kate and Ryan were always nice to talk with and very welcoming.. Had a great 5 week stay overall!

We stayed in the cottage for 5 nights. Our original stay was for 8 nights, but it got cut short because of a winter storm that froze the roads coming into Hood River. The cottage is clean, well stocked, and was perfect for our family of two adults and two children. The fireplace is really nice and cozy and we enjoyed relaxing here after a day of skiing at Meadows. We cooked some (kitchen has everything you need) and did a bunch of takeout from local breweries and restaurants. The property manager (Heidi) is amazing. She was constantly communicative through our stay - including during the weather events that caused last minute changes in our trip. We would stay here again in a future Hood River trip.

The house was adorable with everything we needed! It was in a great location where we could walk downtown and situated in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The house was exactly as advertised and provided the cozy warmth of a home away from home that we were looking for.

We really enjoyed staying at your property. Everything was wonderful! It was clean & cozy. We set up the tree, went wine tasting, cooked, explored, and even worked on a giant puzzle while we watched movies. Your house was the perfect place for our Christmas adventure. No Cable TV to watch college football, ESPN. My bad for assuming rental would have at least basic cable TV. Only had Nexflix's. No TV in Master bedroom. Need to dust cobwebs in corners up high. Kitchen nice with lots of great equipment.

Perfect Location
We were looking for a home away from home while our family explored the beautiful Columbia River. Heidi's cozy cabin was the perfect location for both the river cruising and access to the Town of Hood River. Heidi is easy to reach and very accommodating. The home has everyting you need.

Nice house and Convenient
Roomy enough for 4 of us and even had friends over for dinner. Easy walk to great eateries and short drive to downtown HR and waterfront. Love that there are ceiling fans in all rooms and we didn't even need the AC this past week. Wish that there were beach towels and beach toys though.

Pleasant Stay
Wonderful time and great location in Hood River.

Perfect space for our family of 4
This was an ideal retreat for us while in Hood River. The unit is a fantastic layout, it has everything we needed for cooking (I even baked bread!), a washer/dryer, 1.5 baths. It was quiet and all the communication beforehand and afterwards was easy and pleasant. This will absolutely be our "go to" place while in Hood River visiting my brother and his family.

Great base camp for mountain biking and enjoying Hood River
I stayed 3 nights and 4 days at the C Street Retreat. The home was clean and about a 5 minute drive from downtown Hood River. It's not really walkable to downtown. It was however very convenient for biking Post Canyon, as the location is an easy 15 minute ride from Post Canyon Road. We would shuttle a car up to the top of Dirt Surfer, ride down, put the bikes in the locked storage unit at the apartment, and then drive back up to retrieve the car. Slick. Having a lockable unit to store the bikes was a plus for us. The storage closet is large and could easily fit 6 or 8 bicycles.
One note for potential guests: There are two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, but only one-window unit air conditioner in one of the bedrooms, and one window air conditioner for all of downstairs. It was 100 degrees every day we were there, and the only way the second bedroom was usable was if we left both bedroom doors open so that the AC could try and keep up (which it didn't do particularly well). This was fine for two mountain biking dudes, but if you expect privacy in both bedrooms and the temperature is going to be over 75 degrees, I don't think this arrangement would be that great as both doors have to be open all the time so the AC can chug away and try and keep up. The AC will run continuously both upstairs and downstairs to do so on a hot day. Ours ran the whole time we were there.
The second bedroom upstairs really needs it's own AC unit.
We would stay here again provided the AC / "you can only sleep with both bedroom doors wide open" issue wasn't going to be a concern for any of the guests.
