The location and beach front was amazing. The pier, activities, and the cottage as a whole was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Mike and the caretakers there were super friendly and really helpful. They were available at all times. The place was clean and well kept with good amenities. The place also had a kitchenette with an induction, some utensils for cooking and a mini bar.
Of the two bulbs in the washroom, only one was working and the other had low voltage so was mostly off for the 2nd half of the stay

This is a unique place to stay in Phu Quoc. It is on the east side of the island, a bit off the beaten track. The staff/family that runs the resort were so friendly and so helpful throughout my stay. The rooms come equipped with a small kitchen that has the basics necessary to cook some meals for yourself, as well as tea, coffee, water, and instant noodles all included. I rented a motorbike from the resort which was a good way to explore the entire island. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, AC was excellent, and it was cool to stay in a bungalow over the water. The shower had warm water and good water pressure (especially considering you are on top of the ocean!). You can watch the sunrise on the property and see the fishermen return to the restaurant next door. There are some good food/restaurants available nearby even though Lotus Home does not serve any meals.
When it is windy, the overwater bungalows can be very noisy at night (this happened 3 out of my 4 nights - early January). There was also some birds that hung out in the roof of my bungalow making some noise. The wind churns up the water a lot, so it does not seem too appealing to swim. Even though there are some restaurants nearby, it was difficult to find dinner after 7pm. The door and windows do not have any screens, so if you keep them open for fresh air there is a risk of bugs coming in.

the property has a great view of sunrise.
no place to swim as the water and the beachfront is not clean and with cottages. bring mosquito repellant also as a lot in the afternoon and evening.

Stunning view of mountains and the ocean with a modern comfy bungalow in a remote fishing village make this property a great way to spend a few days one on one with Mother Nature. If you start missing western services you can go Rory’s bar and restaurant for dinner.
The water heater wasn’t big enough to fill up the bathtub. So we didn’t get to actually have a bath. There was lots of trash in the water around the property.

It was beautiful. The hanging net as by far my favorite part. It was tidy and the staff was incredibly accommodating. I have a very strong fold allergy and they were very understanding and made food from their personal kitchen (a new recent option). It was a complete paradise. I can't wait to go back!
A couple things happened such as our bathtub ring being faulty and the electricity being cut off for hours with no notice or preplanned resources in our bungalow. Both issues were dealt with promptly however I feel as they both could've been avoided with the correct preparation. There was also some construction being done on and around the property so there is machinery noise in the background throughout the day.
