It was perfect for what we needed while in New York. I felt safe in the building and neighborhood which was very important to us. The Host was very responsive and communicated well with us. Would visit again:)

We enjoyed our stay. Location can't be beat and the apartment had everything we needed.

The neighbourhood was amazing! Loved it very much. The building was located in a very quiet place so you always had a good night sleep! Neighbours were nice and not noise at all. Dov answered my questions super quickly via text. The WiFi worked well. The only thing was that the apartment could have been a little more cleaner.. otherwise looks the same as in the pictures. Had a nice stay anyways!

Loved staying here. This place has everything you need and more. Closest subway station is at the end of the block. Tons of restaurants, deli, and coffee shops within walking distance. Thanks for a great stay!

This was the perfect place, stayed 2 months while looking for a permanent home in the area. The location of the property is amazing, in a very safe neighborhood for someone new to NY. The unit is clean, comfortable, well equipped. Dov was very quick to respond to my initial requests for more information, and proved to be very available for information. There were no problems at all! Would go back and repeat again!! Thank you Dov for making this a home away from home if only for a short while.

Dov was very responsive to any needs or questions we had and the apartment was large and comfortable. Our dog enjoyed the area also with Central Park only 1/2 block away. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the neighborhood.

It has a very good location. We enjoyed the nearness of Central Park and the quiet street. The owner was very helpful.

We loved our stay in this huge studio by Central Park. We were steps away from restaurants, deli's, Trader Joe's, Grocery stores, and of course Central Park. The subway in the pictures is closed for renovation till Fall, but there is a subway just as close in the other direction! It was hot outside but our room stayed cool. I felt very safe in this neighborhood with my two small children and often walked the streets after dark.
For the foodies Han Dynasty delivers and Columbus Deli had the best bacon, egg and cheese on a roll :) Dov was very responsive and accommodating.I would stay here again.

Dov was responsive and helpful, and the apartment was beautiful. It had all the amenities, and the neighbourhood is lovely. I will definitely try to stay here the next time I'm in New York.

Great location close to restaurants and shopping and subway. Though needs new pillows and bed is squeaky. Great to come back to a warm - very warm room after cold and rain. Floor boards I found had some nails sticking out. Thanks again.

The owner was pleasant and immediately available to let us in when we arrived. The apartment is well appointed and spacious, and certainly clean.
We had a minor issue with the smoke alarm battery causing the alarm to begin beeping at 12:30AM and because it was placed 14 feet up on the wall, we could not reach it to turn it off. Did not sleep at all that first night. The owner was quick to resolve the issue in the morning.
Would readily stay there again.

Our recent stay in this upper west side apartment worked out perfectly. We like to come to the city from Scottsdale a few times a year and decided to stay in the upperwest side versus Chelsea area where we usually stay. Apartment was a good size and comfortable. Right by Central park which was wonderful for daily runs and very close to a good Subway stop. Terrific restaurants nearby and all the charm of the neighborhood. We would definitely consider staying here again and Dov the owner was very helpful. Thank you.

My first impression when I pulled up outside wasn't great, always that fear when you book via the internet. However when I got into the apartment we were very pleased. Yes the bathroom is definitely a bit tired but apart from that the apartment was big, and very clean. The location was fantastic on a lovely street, and so near to the subway. The apartment was quiet at night, and there were great places to eat nearby, and so close to Central Park, which was a real bonus. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The apartment was perfect for our needs, clean, and in a great location - close to B, C subway lines and Central Park. The owner was responsive to phone calls and emails. I would definitely stay in this apartment again in the future.

Although the picture accurately reflects the apartment, it seemed much smaller than we had expected. It doesn't have a warm feel, but rather drab and cold. The building itself has a very foul odor to it that sometimes seeped into the apartment.
There were 3 of us staying for a week and each only had one hot shower - all the others were less than desirable. We were given 3 towels for the week and 1 roll of toilet paper and needed to call for more. Overall I would say our experience was "just ok".

Apt was very clean and enjoyable. Great location and Dov the owner was good at communicating with us. We will use again. Thanks, Charlie

The apartment is very spacious and clean, although worn in places. It had all the little extras that were useful (hairdryer, iron, kettle, bagel toaster - essential for New York!). It is up one flight of stairs, faces the back garden and wonderfully peaceful. The location is unbeatable - half a block from the B,C subway line, half a block from buses on Central Park West & Columbus Avenue and half a block from Central Park. Dov, the owner, was responsive and very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would recommend this apartment to anyone.

This is HUGE as far as studio apartments go. Apartment was VERY clean. The bathroom is showing it's age, but that is expected in NYC in my opinion. Otherwise, the apartment shows it's age in a good way- we detail and ambiance found only in historical buildings. It was also amazing how quiet this apartment is.. Not only does the window back up to the garden, but the actual street is extremely quiet. Yet, it's like a 2 minute walk to the metro station, which, by the way, dumps you into Rock Center/5th Ave, etc in just a few quick stops. Central Park is just across the street from the metro and the south side of the big lake and you are right smack on the loop that takes you to the MET, turtle pond, Sweedish Cottage, etc. Dov, the owner, was amazingly responsive. In fact, I ended up at his place because several other listings I looked at people would not respond. Dov either picked up right away or called me back within 2 minutes the 4-5 times I called him. I highly recommend this as a great place to stay short or long term for your time in NYC. PS, the neighborhood is very safe feeling and Pete's Pizza around the corner was awesome : )

This apartment and the whole building is old and quaint. There is only one flight of stairs to reach the apartment, so that helps if you have a lot of luggage. The apartment is maintained and clean, but its age is showing in places. It has a beautiful ornamented high ceiling, very beautiful fireplace and parquet floors. It is very spaceous. The kitchen is very small but has everything you need and the bathroom is ok. The apartment faces the backyard, so it is very quiet. There were no surprises - the pictures are acurate and show the apartment's true appearance. It is adequately furnished, the beds are comfortable, there is enough storage space, and really - there is everything you need. Some hooks for hanging towels would have been nice, but that's really nit picking.
The four of us had a great time, and it was a wonderful place to come to after a day of exploring New York. The neighbourhood is absolutely beautiful and peaceful and literally minutes away from the Central Park, Columbus Ave and 86 St subway station.
The owner was very nice and helped us with the luggage and was always available when we had questions about anything. We loved it. We hope that the apartment will be available again when we come and visit and we would be happy to recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in NY.
