About this apartment rental
Welcome to Calypso, our beautifully decorated 3 bedroom/3 bath condominium located in Beach Colony Resort West on Navarre Beach, Florida, directly on the Gulf of Mexico. At 1680 square feet of living space, our wi-fi ready 15th floor home comes fully equipped and furnished and offers exquisite views of the Gulf of Mexico. Calypso sleeps eight comfortably. The master bedroom contains one queen-sized bed with an en suite bath that has a jetted tub and a separate walk-in shower. A second bedroom contains a queen-sized bed with an en suite bath. A third bedroom contains 2 sets of bunk beds and has a connecting door to the hallway bathroom, which contains a walk-in shower. The master bedroom contains a 42' flat-screen TV, and the other bedrooms each contain a 32' flat-screen TV. For those days when the gorgeous view of the Gulf from the balcony isn’t enough, the living room boasts a 50” HD flat-screen Smart TV. Calypso also features a large kitchen with enough counter space to satisfy any vacation chef and a laundry room complete with a full-sized washer and dryer. The Beach Colony Resort complex includes a wonderfully maintained Olympic-sized pool and fitness center, complete with a number of exercise machines to delight the fitness enthusiasts. For the anglers in your group, the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier, the longest on the Gulf, is located just down the sugar-white sandy beach, a mere five-minute stroll unless you dawdle a little to collect sea shells or to watch dolphins or cow-nosed rays frolic in the emerald green water. The pier complex includes a bar and grill, volleyball, and live music on the weekends.
Situated between Ft. Walton Beach to the east and Pensacola to the west, the Navarre area offers numerous dining choices on the beach and along Highway 98, some just minutes away like Andy D's, the Windjammer, Sailor’s Grille, the Grillhouse, East Bay Crab House (Mai Tai Grouper with just a hint of heat is a must!), Dewy Destin's of Navarre, Scooter's, the Cactus Flower, the Slippery Mermaid (best sushi in NW Florida), and TC's Front Porch.
For those interested in sightseeing and shopping, I recommend Fort Pickens on Pensacola Beach, the Naval Air Station Museum in Pensacola, the Zoo in the Tiger Point area, and Destin Commons and the Silver Sands Outlet Mall in Destin.

We had 4 kids and 4 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. The balcony was very spacious and nice. Pool is larger than it appears in pictures. There were sippy cups and a pack-n-play. Very clean. The owner was very nice and accommodating. We have already reached out to rebook for next year.

Just as described. Beautiful condo. Beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. The only complaint is the height of the bed in the second bedroom. Very high to get in and out. Only one of the 4 women could manage it.

My wife and I enjoy the quiet time at Navarre Beach between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We were very comfortable in 15C. Patti was quick to respond to questions and very helpful. We highly recommend this property.

Was a wonderful place to stay. Very easy to arrange my vacation. Ability to make payment was secure and easy to do. Loved the balcony patio. Only negative comment; could have used a good dusting e.g. ceiling fans!

Property itself is great. Well maintained, clean, great pool size and cleanliness. Very easy access to beach, good showers for rinsing and a separate hose for beach stuff.

Everything went really well! In comparison to the condo we stay at the pearl every year, this condo needed a deep cleaning. The owner was fantastic and quick to respond. Condo was accommodating to our large group that included 2 kids under 5.

Our 1st real extended Family Vacation Together!
We spent our 1st week in Disney World; then the 2nd week we wanted quiet family time on the beach - and we got it here! We absolutely LOVED ❤️ This Condo!! BEAUTIFUL, EVERYTHING you need, we even had decent weather, a little warm; but we were together - Who Cares!! Our son was kind enough to get up every morning at 5 to secure a spot on the beach. It’s a shame the beach service feels the need to take over so much of the area directly in front of the condo, and we need to walk farther - something is not right with that? That was about the only negative I can think of. We love this area. Hope to get back sooner! Thank you!

We loved our stay at The Calypso. The pictures don't do this condo justice. The floors were immaculate, which is hard to do while living amongst the sand. The view was amazing, and my kids enjoyed the bunkbeds. The worst part about our stay was that we had to leave. I appreciate the other review about the parking space being tight. I chose this location because of the beautiful view it seemed to have in the listing. It did not disappoint! The deck is large but there are only 4 chairs available for outside seating. I knew that ahead of time as I reached out to Patti who answered quickly (which she did through the end of our stay), so we brought 2 camping chairs with us. Plenty of space for me, my 3 children (11,14,17), my mother, my brother and his wife (I slept in the bunk room with my girls). Fitness room was perfect to keep up my workout throughout the week. We rented a large umbrella and chairs for the beach 2 days of our stay and it made it so much easier, definitely worth the cost. Pool was too cold during our week there but we spent almost every day at the beach. Took one day to go into Pensacola and to visit Fort Pickens which is a beautiful drive. Enjoyed a dinner at Johnny Huston’s, one lunch at the Copper Bull and then a final breakfast at Alphie’s Catfish House (have the cinnamon roll pancakes, you won’t be disappointed). Kids loved the Snow-ball shack immediately across the bridge, especially the stuffed snow cones. We preferred parking at the top of the parking garage only because the assigned spot is very tight if someone is parked next to you. We bought a soft luggage topper for our car (a small suv) because we were concerned about parking with a hard shell top. Found there were a couple spots that were hard shell friendly on the side of the building, but there were very few of those available so keep that in mind (that and the height had to be a minimum of 7’1” if I remember correctly). All in all, condo was absolutely perfect for us, location was amazing and Patti is terrific. Would not hesitate to stay again!

We loved this property. Everything was well stocked (with anything you’d need in the kitchen and even things like nightlights and extra batteries for smoke detectors) and ready for us to just relax. Views were gorgeous and everything was exactly as advertised. Furniture was comfy and residents in the building were friendly and beach was great. Only possible improvements we could think of would be to get a king bed for the master and more furniture on the balcony but all in all, amazing property and we hope to return.
