Loved the hospitality of the couple, really opened their space up to us and made us feel like family. Loved meeting the others staying while sitting around the fire over a few beers
Loved the dinner that Claire made! Was well worth the $$

Beautiful scenery, lovely clean house.
Racially profiled, accused of being a hooker and a client because we came in different cars, my partner is Indian and I had asked if the room was private. Was also asked if we were just there to f##k. Female host continued to spew racial remarks about the local shop keeper. Male host rode his motorbike to suss us out, revved the bike and sped back to the house. Stayed because I took it as an opportunity to change someone's views. I was wrong. Lacking hospitality.
4.2
Proximity to Hunua Ranges.
Hair on quilt, old sheets, lumpy mattress and pillows, squeaky floorboards, cool welcome from host, feeling of intruding,, so many rules listed, more restrictions than necessary when looking for a relaxing stay... would have rather booked a youth hostel...couldn't wait to leave. We left tubes of soap and shampoo for the next guests so they didn't have to use the old, used bar of share soap in bathroom.
4.2
Host shared kitchen!
Lovely setting , surrounded by fields, horses and trees.
4.2
A nice and quiet place with a lovely host. Has all you need to relax and enjoy the area and just an hour from the city or the airport
4.2
I enjoyed my stay there. The room offers enough space, and the bed is very comfortable. I had pleasant conversations with the host and her friend and always felt welcome. WiFi was fast and reliable. I would visit again, especially for the price.
4.2
Double aspect so lots of natural light.
4.2
Amazing stay and very friendly hostess. Would highly recommend! Complimentary breakfast definitely a bonus too.
4.2
Farm property location. Lovely friendly dogs. Down to earth hosts. Fairly short drive to Hunua falls. Very helpful showing us a way to Aukland airport after the motorway was closed down in peak morning traffic due to an accident.
Price.
Late 4pm check in.
No eating out options close by so best to bring something or prearrange a meal to be made at the property.
4.2
it was clean
the host was unfriendly and treated me like being in a youth hostel. I left a night earlier
4.2
Noisy farm and loud music. Not what I consider a bed and breakfast when you fix your own breakfast.
4.2
The room was very modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty basic, but very nice bonus. The place was quite close to national park with forest trails.
The bathroom was clean, but not spotless.
4.2
Bed in the motorhome was comfy.
Lovely view from the window at the top of the motorhome.
I liked that there was somewhere to stay during the cyclone.
Loud music at night, although they did turn it down after 10pm when I asked though.
There was no running water and I could only access a toilet by crossing to the main house. I thought it was expensive for what it was.
4.2
It was very convenient and the selection was very good. I loved the home made damson jam
Nothing really

After arriving at a different B&B, I ended up leaving because the people were so rude and hostile. I then (last minute) booked at Hunua Rangers and it was certainly a ‘meant to be’ moment.
First impressions count, and I felt fully at home straight away thanks to Claire. Really down to earth people. A home away from home. I only wish I had stayed longer!

Hospitable host
Needs a better road side sign

A very beautiful and picturesque location.with very welcoming and friendly hosts and homemade delights were a real treat. The room was very homely and comfortable with lovely views across the country side. It was a very warm and inviting place to stay. Would have stayed longer if possible and definitely stay there again.
Everything was great.

Its close enough if you need shops and far enough away that you don't feel like your near a city. For me that's the ideal location for a good getaway.
I had a room upstairs. The room was clean, spacious and a nice little haven to chill out in. The view was bliss looking out onto a farm and bush land.
The best part of my stay was Claire and her homely hospitality. She is what makes this place feel like home away from home. I actually didn't want to leave. I felt a-bit sad when I checked out.
Chatting with Claire and James (another guest) was an absolute added bonus.
Thank you Claire for your great hospitality, the awesome chats with yourself and James and for making me feel like an old mate that hadn't visited in a while. I'd love to stop by for a coffee sometime.
I would absolutely without hesitation stay here again as well as recommend it to others.
Having to leave ☹️

Location was convenient and breakfast was good.
Advert on site was for a room in the house, when we arrived we were told we were staying in a horse lorry. This was not as booked and not ideal as toilet, shower, kitchen, running water were across the farm driveway which is not great in the night. Bed was comfy but less able people may has struggled to climb above the cab. Host was aware of the problem with advert on the site so she knows she should update it to avoid misleading future guests.
4.2
Very friendly and easy going host. Lovely country style home, enjoyed the double bedroom upstairs with views to the farm and animals.
Bathroom was a bit dated, but understand the host is in process of renovations.

The location.
None, All good!

The breakfast was good. The facilities were good. Parking was easy. The atmosphere was excellent. Great relaxing stay. Able to sit on the veranda and look out over the farmlet while having a beer. The accommodation was warm and very comfortable and would recommend it to friends and family.
