Host was fantastic. Great communication before and during the trip.
We had plenty of space to relax and take in the fabulous lake views. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home.

The location of the house was great. It is off the lake so can have a fire and play in the yard. The house has plenty of space for the whole family. The bunk bed room had a lot more beds than expected as well. The ACs in the room were a life saver! If you have a boat or just want to spend time in the water; the dock was probably one of the top features of the house. The furniture was amazing to relax and enjoy the views. The lily pad they had provided a nice play area for the kids. If you have a boat, the spot is easy to dock. If you do not have a boat, the property offers canoes and kayaks! So if you are looking for a nice get away on the lake, look no further than this property.

We all enjoyed our vacation on the lake. The kitchen of Mayflower Lodge was very well equipped. There is a very large living room with an area equipped with toys for small children. There was also a large enclosed space that seemed like it was once a porch that functioned as a second living room. This room also had a table for four that we used of jigsaw puzzles. The large dining room table easily accommodated the ten of us.
We were so glad that there was A/C which we understand was a recent addition. Although the A/C was only in the bedrooms, the entire house was comfortable with the bedroom doors left open.
We were pleasantly surprised to have the use of the canoes and kayaks. We brought paddle boards along with life jackets. It was a great week on the water.

Very spacious spot for a large group. Several sitting areas inside and out. Easy access to the lake and private deck. Kayaks were a grest bonus. Host very communicative. Kitchen had everything we needed. We had a great time

The entire stay was smooth and hassle-free. The accommodations were outstanding. The exterior of the property allowed us to view the sunset on the deck across the street, and we had campfires to end each evening. The interior was comfortable, and we all marveled at the Amish wood projects throughout. The kitchen was well equipped. Finally, the host's recommendation of renting a pontoon boat from the local marina made for an excellent day on the water.

This old house is beautifully updated and maintained and perfect for an extended family stay. It was fully stocked and the communication with the owner was great before and during the trip. Thanks for sharing this lakeside home!

This house was perfect for 2 families, 8 people. There was lots of room to spread out and do our own things or come together and play games. Virginia was so kind and accommodating.

My family and I met up with old friends for a long weekend in Findley Lake. Among us, we had two teenagers, a 12yo and an 8yo, and there was tons of space for everybody. We made casseroles and French toast in the well-equipped kitchen, and the dining room table was more than long enough for all eight of us. It rained the whole weekend, so the living room was a favorite spot, with a huge couch and a big TV. We would definitely return.

My family and I stayed at Findlay lake for a short getaway before school got started. The neighborhood is peaceful and fun. The children loved swimming and kayaking in the lake. The house is gorgeous and very accommodating. We would love to come back in the winter for skiing. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This house was amazing! The beds were very comfortable and more than enough seating for a large family to converse and relax. The house was well stocked with nice towels and bed linens. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need. The town was nice with great little shops Alexander's restaurant had great food. Check out Twin Docks and Krasa's Kove if you stay. We all enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely time at this property. Very clean, well stocked with everything possible. The kids loved the house and so did we!

Our family all loved staying at the old Mayflower Lodge with wonderful appointed rooms including sweet little sinks in each bedroom. There were so many cozy spaces to eat, read, play & relax both inside and outside the home including a great fire pit. We spent a lot of time on the deck down beside the lake, enjoyed the canoe, kayak, inner tubes and had several wonderful meals down there. It was a memorable weekend…just too short. We’ll definitely be back!

This beautiful home was perfect for our annual family vacation with 6 adults and 3 children. Like many century homes - it had many unique areas to it and so much character. Extremely spacious. Loved all the "living area spaces" - great for family time together or offered separate areas for privacy and quiet times. The two master bedrooms on the 2nd floor were so roomy - could even have more than enough room for a young child to sleep comfortably there as well. The property itself is really terrific setting - really pretty. Such a large back yard - outstanding for kids/families to play. Plus it was so secluded which added safety for smaller kids. The adults loved sitting in the back yard around the fire pit at night too! The gated dock across the street was really nice and perfect - especially with little kids. Made it so safe for when the kids were out there. Plus made a nice little get away from the house for the adults when needed!
The flow of the kitchen was set up really well - and even with a large group there was plenty of room to prep and cook. Having 2 chefs in the family - it's an important feature for our family vacations! A bonus was how nice and accommodating the host, Virginia was! We appreciated her thoughtfulness and great communication. I highly recommend this very charming home to anyone!

This was our first trip to Findley Lake and we had a great stay at Mayflower Lodge. We had 6 adults and 4 kids (ages 5-9). There was plenty of room to spread out; we had an extra bedroom and several bunk beds we didn’t use. We enjoyed using the kayaks and canoes that were provided and we rented a pontoon boat from the marina one of the days. The private dock was in a great location where the kids could float and play. It was shallow and out of the way of boat traffic. There is a road between the house and the dock so we put out the “children at play” signs provided. The host was very responsive and helpful.

This home was the perfect fit for our family. There are several perfect spaces in and outside the house to relax or have fun. Highly recommend this Lake house and the host is awesome!

We had such a fun time at Mayflower Lodge! We loved the deck with the great view of the lake. I want that kitchen in my house! We were able to cook our meals together and then sit down at the beautiful dining table with plenty of room for everyone. I rented a pontoon and was able to dock it on the property. We spent an afternoon at Presque Isle State Park’s beaches 30 miles away and visited the lighthouse. What a great, well-maintained home!

This was a great place for our family trip. Plenty of room for everyone. Their were 8 of us and a dog. Everyone had a nice time. The area is beautiful and close to several sites. Would recommend this location to others.

The house was comfortable and clean. The kitchen and dining area , with its beautiful large table, was where our large family gathered most of the time for laughs and stories and fun. The outdoor area was also a great place for the kids to play and the fenced in deck across the street was the perfect spot to relax and catch up on some reading when you wanted a little break.
Virginia, our host, was accommodating and extremely helpful when any questions arose. We had a lovely time.

We enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a family gathering and there was plenty of room for everyone. The property had great views and access to the lake. We would stay here again.

We loved the vintage style of this home and were thrilled it was large enough to hold all 10 of us. Our only issues were gaining entrance to the residence and the thermostat that was set too low (which were quickly remedied with quick phone calls to the owner). The only reason I didn't give five stars for cleanliness was a shower that hadn't been cleaned (which is more an issue with the cleaner). The rest of the house was very clean and orderly. I might also mention that we all (skeptics included) believe the house is inhabited by ghosts. Though they didn't give us evil vibes. Just some odd happenings. Would rent this property again!

Everything was easy from the booking process, to communication with the owner, to the expectations of the home. It was in a perfect location by the lake and a five minute drive to Peekn' Peak Ski Resort. The house was cozy and very spacious. We would definitely rent from here again.

Enjoyed our stay with friends & family for a ski trip over New Years. Weather didn’t cooperate so we didn’t end up skiing but Peek’nPeak was maybe 4 mins down the road so it would have been convenient! Instead we stayed in, ordered food from a place the owner recommended & played poker & board games by the fireplace. Lots of room for our large group to spread out & enjoy. Beautiful views of the lake just across the street. Gorgeous historic home with lovely upgrades, would highly recommend & plan to come back!

Loved the house and space! We never left and ordered pizza in. Tons of seating and beautifully decorated with unique and witty pieces. Enjoyed sitting by water during day and fire pit at night. Only issue we had was the “Browns” banner in front yard. Lol. Go Steelers!

The house is lovely and just as described and in a beautiful setting. Quaint town.

Amenities above and beyond. Furnishings, decor, pantry items, washer and dryers, kitchen and dinnerware, every little detail was above and beyond expectations. Quality and comfort! Would highly recommend to families. The fenced in dock was perfect for my 18 month old grandchild. And she truly enjoyed the trunk of toys....especially sitting in it! Great memories were made this past week. Everyone had a book in their hands during quiet times. Nice library! Thanks again for great accommodations and communication, Virgina.

Our family visits Upstate NY…what is what us Southerners call it…every year with 20 plus years running. We stay in various places in and around Jamestown, NY. Let’s just say that Mayflower Lodge is not only beautiful but peaceful, quaint, cozy, and comfortable. The home is well appointed with whatever you might need as soon as you arrive.
Lake life is good!
And, let’s just say this…we hosted two dinner parties during our week and had plenty of room to do so! What a blast to share such an amazing place with family and friends!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if ever back to Findley Lake, Mayflower Lodge will be in our sights if available….book now and don’t miss out!
Just a little rundown:
Dock at the lake…spot on!
Fabulous kitchen…spot on
Living spaces…triple spot on
Bedrooms…plenty…spot on
Water living, views, kayaking, bring a boat, yes! Absolutely
Views! Views from everywhere!
Our hostess is AWESOMENESS! That’s the best part!
Anyway…from the Southerners,
Thank y’all Don’t pass this up!
Y’all come back now, ya hear!!

We had a great time at this property! The house is beautiful and very clean. The only thing I would note is there is not A/C in the house. It didn’t get too bad and there were plenty of fans throughout the house but we didn’t notice that in the house description. Otherwise everything was wonderful! Plenty of space, great dock area, we could swim right off the dock, good fishing, loved the fire pit, kitchen is huge, and basically just a beautiful setting. Very dog friendly too! I would recommend adding more bath towels to the house though but not a huge deal. I can definitely see us staying here again someday!

Loved this property and it is true to the photos and has a great backyard. Virgina was awesome and her family’s home is perfect for that relaxing family get-away. The little town also has some cute little country shops. We will come back to visit. ☀️
