The location was great. Walking distance to a lot places we wanted to go. Right across the street from the water and the walkways along the water. We really enjoyed our stay there. I highly recommend this place.

The apartment was clean, great location, and overall a very good place to stay. We would definitely stay there again if we visited Galway.

Galway journey.

We had a fantastic time here and the location could not have been better!

Very convenient apartment with terrace, with bus stops and numerous restaurants, cafes, and pubs within easy walking distance and a short drive into city center. Good area and secure, on-site parking. Very clean and well kept. Very prompt response to a request upon arrival. Host/Vrbo provided detailed info up-front, including instructions on driving, arrival, check-instructions, parking, and washer operation. We'd definitely stay here again.
Suggest having coffee pods or instant coffees on-hand.

We were happy with our stay at Galway Bay Apartments. On a scale of 1 – 10, we’d give the overall stay an 8
Pro:
- clean
- good location: just in front of the Salthill promenade. Ocean view. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. Convenient store (SPAR) just steps away. For a larger selection of groceries, there's a supermarket a 15-minute walk away (Tesco).
- The bus stop for line 401 to the town center is right outside the apartment. This bus takes you right into the heart of Eyre Square. From here you can catch the train to Dublin or buses to the Cliffs of Moher or Connemara. Taxis to Galway town center are readily available, costing approximately €15 from the apartment. Alternatively, it's a pleasant 15- 30 minute walk to the town center
- wi-fi, plenty of tv channels
- Great Kitchen set up for preparing meals at home for small groups.
Con:
- The functionality of the hot water was inconsistent at times (management addressed the concerns raised)
- The back room can experience occasional noise late at night from guests passing (earplugs recommended for light sleepers)

My family stayed here for 4 nights while in Galway.
The apartment itself is outdated, run down and in need of some serious TLC.
It was a convenient location that enabled us to make the most out of our time in Galway.
I did not have any interaction with management after the booking process.
The "timer" for the hot water is absurd. 4 people trying to take showers and unable to do so. The "boost" for the hot water heater did not seem to work. I did not call management (we were so busy and rarely in the apartment other than to shower/sleep).
Initially we wanted to utilize the kitchen and cook while in Galway but the kitchen does not have the necessary items (there were 3 glasses in the entire kitchen). I purchased a sheet pan while there just to make breakfast. No biggie.
The laundry closet (and I mean closet) was NOT great.
The dryer does not dry appropriately - and there are rules about having clothes dry on the balcony.
There is no air conditioning. I realize many areas in Ireland do not. The other places I stayed DID.
The view of the bay is fantastic. It was the best part of the stay.
It is a high tourist/traffic area and is noisy. I was prepared for that based on other reviews. Having to sleep with the windows open (due to the temperature and no A/C) makes the noise issue even worse.
It was nice to see the GARDA station (police station) behind the building. Made us feel safer as the area does seem to be sketchy.
Overall enjoyed Galway.

Overall this was a great stay. Views of the water and people watching were fun.

Property was clean and comfortable. The bus stop is right outside, which was very convenient. Within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants, with the beach just across the road.
4.7
Great place, gorgeous views, and convenient location with the public transportation.

As first time users of the computerized check-in process we found it confusing. It would have been helpful to have been able to received instructions on the process on-line at the time we made the reservation. We did not have email access prior to our arrival. Also, in our unit it would be helpful to have a card on a table displaying the WIFI internet address and password. As it was in very tiny font it was eventually found on the modem in a cabinet. We weren't informed of the one and only guest book that exists in the lobby. It would be more helpful and convenient to have one these books in each apartment.

Had a very pleasant stay here. Lots of room and very well located. Would definitely return

We stayed 2 nights while visiting Galway. The place was exactly as described and was walkable to city center Galway and many pubs. We would definitely stay again.

This is a great location in the Salt Hill area of Galway. Plenty of restaurants very nearby. Right across the street from the Promenade on the Bay. The communication with the property manager was fine. Check in was very easy
The only negatives were the washer/dryer that was very slow and some noisy people on a balcony one night.
It’s not fancy but it worked just fine for us
4.7
It was centrally located and the parking was convenient. The only drawback is the noise from the street, cars going by. Overall it was a good experience.

I spent a month here to do some writing and it was perfect. Convenient to restaurants & groceries, gorgeous area to walk or play in, or just to watch the changing of the sea out my third floor window. Super-responsive hosts, even after hours. Only caveat is that the area is noisy with traffic & people (and windows need to be open for the air), so if you are seeking / needing QUIET, this may not be the place for you. But other than that one caveat, highly recommend!!!

The unit looked exactly as it did in the pictures on VRBO. Everything was as expected. The unit was very clean and was very comfortable. The view from our balcony was beautiful. We had easy access to public transportation. We were able to catch a bus to the ferry that went to Aron Islands.

My two daughters and their husbands stayed in this Salt Hill apartment and loved it! Beautiful space and great location!
4.7
Galway is a great place to walk and enjoy the local pubs. Views from this place was nice but we spent most of our time touring the city. Parking was a plus.
4.7
On our Ireland discovery tour, we spent three nights in this very comfortable and well equipped apartment. Big bedrooms and two bathrooms very convenient for a family with two teenagers.
The apartment is well situated with the beach promenade just in front of the door, with pubs and restaurants around and the city center in walking distance. Automated Check-in with very clear instructions easy to use and comfortable also for late arrivals.
Had a very good time there, thank you very much!
4.7
It was good overall. Free parking was a plus. Checkin seemed more complicated than necessary but I liked that the building was passcode secured. Apartment had a strange curry smell we couldnt get rid of.

Very clean apartment in a great location with a beautiful view. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful experience. Had trouble signing in due to renter not sending key code. Very helpful lady helped us. She had to dig for our reservation that didn’t show up on her end. The water heater was a problem. Even after following directions we couldn’t get a decent shower. Overall we throughly loved our stay. The view is beautiful. The shops all around we nice and handy.
4.7
The location was fantastic. I thought the apartments were not what was shown in the picture and they needed a revamp. There was a smell of cigarette smoke which we could not get rid of. We were awoken on 3 mornings to the sound of a jackhammer working below us.
4.7
Property was so spacious (2 large bedrooms and a decent sized living/kitchen area) with lovely sea views. Also a very short walk from everything in Salthill. It was very clean with the basics needed - Toilet roll, towels, pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc. Property also had a dishwasher, washing machine and even a tumble dryer. There was also some washing up liquid, enough dishwasher tabs for a load to be done each evening and some cloths. The guy at reception was very helpful, on the afternoon we arrived we noticed a tap wasn’t working and it was replaced the next day. Property also appears well soundproofed with no noises from neighbouring apartments. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Salthill.
4.7
Very comfortable and well supplied! Good places for a quick meal nearby. Loved the view of Galway Bay and easy access to bus and taxi if we didn’t feel like strolling the Salthill Prom.
4.7
Lovely stay in Salthill. Fantastic location, view is amazing, apartment was spotless, spacious, basic necessities are supplied. Would recommend and stay there again. Outside of property needs updating but apartment is fine.
4.7
The apartment was very clean and just what we needed at the time. The best part was the view from the balcony. We were lucky enough to see a rainbow and a full moon over Galway Bay. My suggestions would be about the laundry facility and the bath tub. The Washer/Dryer was not familiar to us and took a very long time. It would have been nice to get directions. The tub needs a safty bar to hold onto while getting in and out. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

The manager(s) of the property were very attentive, the location was great and the rooms were clean.
