My family of seven planned this trip to celebrate two of our birthdays. The property was just as advertised. Beautiful area. Despite bad weather, we still managed to enjoy ourselves, and we were checked on to make sure we were safe. Communication with the owner and property manager was excellent. The only complaint was that the WiFi was very spotty (often had to rely on personal Hotspot) and the ROKU TV system was difficult to navigate and worked intermittently. Definitely needed a car, and rented a large one to accommodate us. Having a smaller one would have been easier and less scary on the narrow, curvy, steep roads. Beautiful area with gorgeous flowering plants, and the children loved the lizards! Snorkeling excursion with stops at areas in St John was the highlight of our trip.

The house is clean and spacious for a big family with the kitchen stocked with almost everything you need. Rooms and beds were fine. The communication with the property manager/owner was easy and fast. The location of the property is about 20-30 minutes away from town, in a very quiet area. However, all the beautiful beaches are closed by. You can find restaurants and grocery stores within 5 to 10 minutes drive. The property shares the beach/swimming pool with the Elysian Resort next door. You can either walk down a few flights of stairs (can be tiresome) or you can drive your car to the resort (very convenient and quick). However, I find the beach at Elysian Resort was ok, nothing special. Secret Harbor Beach or other beaches nearby were much better. Make sure you look up the cruise ship schedule and avoid going to the some beaches when the ships arrived.

The condo was perfect for out family of 5. The three bedrooms were spacious & the place was clean and well equipped. It was nice to have a few beach chairs, cooler, and snorkeling gear. There was even some reef safe sunblock. We enjoyed cooking on the recteq grill/smoker!! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. We walked down to the beach and pool where there are two restaurants and a bar. Redhook was a short drive away; shopping, restaurants, and the ferry to Saint John are located here. We had an amazing trip and would stay here again!!

We recently stayed at a VRBO in Saint Thomas, and it was a great experience. The location was ideal, close to Red Hook for dining, shopping, and the ferry. The snorkeling right off the property was fantastic.
The VRBO was spacious and as described, with a pool featuring a lovely waterfall. There were a few minor issues, such as a broken icemaker and a lack of outdoor lighting, but these didn't detract significantly from our stay. The microwave’s baked potato button also caused a power outage, but the staff was very responsive and helpful. There is a decent walk to the beach and pool. And lots of stairs.
Rent a car!! Agave in Red Hook is highly recommended for its salsa, and Cost You Less is a better choice for groceries than the closer store. Note that ice is available at Moe’s in Red Hook.
The on-site bistro was convenient with good food options, though the fritters were hit or miss. Local beaches offered excellent snorkeling. Sapphire Beach had strong waves and a rocky shore, while Coki Beach was marred by trash and local drug dealers. Megan’s Bay was a highlight with calm, clear water.
Dinner at Duffys Redhook was fine, but not outstanding. A visit to St. John’s is highly recommended; the $60 round-trip car ferry is worth it, and the Windmill there offers great sunset views.
Overall, our VRBO stay was enjoyable. The generator was a plus during power outages. The unit cooled down after a while so be patient with the AC. Overall we Loved our trip!

The host was very communicative early in the rental process. Very helpful and positive. This property is a gem. A lot of space to live in and entertain. Highly recommend. Hoping to come back sometime in the near future.

Pleasant stay. Lots of room to accommodate six people. Access to a couple of restaurants helpful. Taxi initially dropped us off at wrong place, but property manager was very helpful and came to assist us.

Came down for daughters high school graduation with her cheer friend and niece and husband. Spacious room with 3 king beds with doors between all. Close to Red Hook, Sapphire Beach and almost everything. Don’t tale a taxi everywhere, rent property car and drive! Caribbean seafood market wea great, Duffy’s love shack and a hiden gem, Min’s, frog legs were awesome! 100% place to stay!

First and foremost, we LOVED the property and only had very few minor mishaps but did NOT affect our stay at all. I’ll try to paint the best picture I can!
1-Room
Very spacious and so convenient that each of the 3 bedrooms had their own bathroom. Beds were comfortable, my son said the day/trundle bed was the best haha! The kitchen had everything you needed down to spices. They provide nice beach towels, floats, equipment, coolers and any other item that you would need for the beach! Even reef safe sunscreen! That was a nice bonus!
The code to get in our room malfunctioned while we were there but the manager and the owner responded very quickly and promptly brought over a key.
We were a little short on bath towels but again, they responded very quickly and brought some over in what it seemed like minutes.
The balcony was soooooo nice to sit and relax on. The absolute perfect view (I think) of st James??
The property grounds
So at first we got a little confused on how to get around. I’ve been on a lot of beach vacations in a lot of places, and the walking here is really no more than any other place I’ve been. But, you need to find the little sets of hidden stairs everywhere and they’ll get you to the Elysian Resort. Beautiful hotel and property and we loved that we could use all the property amenities. The pool was very nice, always clean and loved the little waterfall cove! Watch out for Harrry though, our iguana friend was about 3 feet long always lurking!

The condo was nice and we had plenty of space for the 5 of us. However, the lights on the back deck were out. We tried to replace them with no luck. Couldn't sit out there at night or early morning to read. No ice machine. Nothing to handwash dishes with, so we bought a sponge. It was quite a hike up and down the stairs to the beach which we were not aware of. My sister whose health is compromised needed a lot of assistance. Overall we had a very nice time. Bathrooms need some updating.

There were several issues while visiting the condo. First impression was low because two toilets wouldn’t flush properly, we had only 5 towels for the four of us to use for bathing and swimming, the drinking glasses were coated with lime deposit, outlets in the kitchen did not work, the deck furniture was unraveling and missing one pad, and we could not adjust the AC. It was either high or off. When we went to the pool, we were told that the passes didn’t work because the fee was unpaid. The place we were instructed to drop our trash had a sign prohibiting it. The manager told us to take it to a dumpster in town.
I texted the owner about the toilets, AC, and towels, electric, and pool passes. He fixed the electric and explained how to flush the toilets. Although it appeared they would overflow, it worked.
He did nothing about the AC; we just adjusted to switching it in and off as needed. Even though I asked for more towels, he did nothing in return. The second day I discovered that the dryer had clean bath towels and the washer had beach towels ready to be washed. This is not what you expect when renting through VRBO.
I’ve always enjoyed high standards when renting through your company, but this was a disappointment. When you pay over 600 dollars a night, you expect quality.
I am not usually one to complain but in this occasion I feel it’s necessary. When I rent a place I feel that you generally get what you pay for. This time that did not ring true.

This location is exactly as many have described. The condo has ample room for six adults. The living area is comfortable, and the bedrooms allow everyone some privacy. It was great to be able to access the beach so easily; we enjoyed sunrises and sunsets there, relaxation and rest. It is close to Red Hook, which has many good restaurants and markets (10 min drive). The host and manager were both accessible and responsive. Enjoy!

The location was perfect. We loved all the amenities offered.

Pros - (many) great location - amazing sunset views from the balcony - top notch dining on-site - resort amenities but condo privacy - having a vehicle available to rent - close to ferry/shops/dining - having a full bathroom for each bedroom
Cons - (minor) the fridge had a water/ice dispenser but it wasn't hooked up - water pressure during peak times was a little low - sliding doors were a little hard to lock
Overall it was a great stay and I would certainly return again - make sure to take at least one day to go to St. John the beaches are next level!

First let me start by saying how great the owner of the property John is. His communication was excellent. Every time I asked a question he got back to me within minutes. He was excellent to deal with.
We were going to St Thomas for the first time and were not sure where we wanted to stay. We looked at many rentals but liked the location of this unit. Cowpet East is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but close to many areas such as Red hook and shopping. The community shares a beach with Cowpet West and Elysian. Is was nice but we didn't spend much time there as we explored different beaches every day.
The main reason we selected this unit was it was a 3 bedroom. With 2 teenage girls that always want their own space it was a great option.
The Good: The unit is spacious and has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms allowing everyone to have their own room and bathroom. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. Towels were very nice. The unit was very clean. The views from the balcony were fantastic. Every evening we could sit and watch the sunset.
The not so good. The unit could use some TLC. Nothing to major but many small repairs needed. The one bedroom ceiling fan was missing a blade and could not be used. One of the AC unit controls were missing but we were able to share the remotes. The bathrooms were all out dated. They were clean but you could see the age. The washer and dryer are very loud.
I would rent this unit again.

We loved our stay in St Thomas. It was a perfect slow down that our family was looking for!! This condo was amazing. My kids loved having a king sized bed all to themselves. The condo has a beautiful beach/ ocean view with two restaurants and a tiki bar named Rico’s on the property. We went from the beach to the pool with ease. We would absolutely stay here again. John was very responsive and attended to all of our questions!

Property was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We really appreciated the space this condo provided for our family to enjoy for the week. Location was excellent with just a short 5 minute drive to Red Hook but still tucked away for peace and quiet. I was pleasantly surprised at how thick the walls were as we never once heard the neighbors even though we knew they were there. Some reviews mentioned the amount of stairs to the pool/beach, we opted for this one for the balcony views and found that we simply drove to the pool around the corner so was never an issue or a big deal. The quiet balcony view was worth it.
We did add on the offered Ford Explorer which was a great decision on our part. Half way through the trip we had an issue with one of the tires and when I reached out to Brittany, she responded prompted and was able to get it fixed immediately without us missing a beat on our vacation. These things happen and I'm very appreciative with the professionalism used in quickly fixing the issue. This won't be our last trip to the island and we will definitely look to be a return visitor of this property or if unavailable, then one of their other listings.

Beautiful area ! We loved having our 3 separate rooms with 3 bathrooms! That’s amazing to get 3 bathrooms ! Haha. Price was such a good deal for the week! We were able to book this trip a week out due to a change in vacation location (natural disaster). But anyways… We enjoyed beach hopping, the pool/ hot tub and the sangria restaurant was a common hangout for us! I enjoyed being 2 minutes away from Red Hook. We took the car ferry there and indulged in some delicious food at Red Hook!
I think we will be back again one day… but maybe bring the kids along. Haha.

As described. John was very responsive. The condo is close to the beach, had a great view, and had everything we needed, including snorkeling gear, beach chairs and coolers (which saved us a lot of money on rentals). It is very close to several beaches and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a perfect spot. It was very relaxing. It could use some updates inside. Outside spot could use some updating, with sitting area and not so many grills. It is a cute little area.

My husband, 8 year old daughter, and I just returned from a lovely trip in the Islands, in which we stayed at 21 Tara Way. For this trip, we were also joined by our friends, and their 9 year old daughter. In most of our past trips, we have opted to stay in single family homes, however, decided on this location given the access to the beach and pool.
Overall, we had a great stay. The booking process was seamless, and John was always quick to answer any questions that I had prior to booking. The location is fantastic, as you are only about 5 minutes to Red Hook for groceries, shopping, restaurants, as well as the Ferry to St. John. Having the beach and pool within walking distance was great, especially on arrival day given how excited the kids were to hit the water with the dads, while the moms ventured out for groceries and necessities. Please know there are A LOT of steps from the condo to the beach/pool area. There are (2) restaurants on property. Caribbean Fish Market is a bit more upscale and would recommend a reservation. We did dinner there one night and enjoyed it. Sangrias is the other restaurant option, and is a fun, beach bar vibe, with excellent food as well. The owner does have a vehicle on island that he offers for rental, and I highly recommend going this route if the vehicle is available. It is an SUV, and offered plenty of space for our group of 6 for the week. We had a car service pick us up at the airport (and take us back), and the vehicle was waiting at the condo when we arrived.
The condo itself is nice, and was the perfect amount of space for our party of 6, while offering plenty of privacy for all. It was great that everybody was able to have their own bedroom and bathroom, and all of the beds were quite comfortable. The property was very clean when we arrived. The bathrooms were a bit dated, but not anything that we couldn’t get past, just not as upgraded as some other places we have stayed. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cooking utensils, and really had everything we needed for the week. There were 6 beach chairs available for us to take to other beaches, which was a huge plus. There is also a cooler available for use, but would recommend bringing your own, as the one there is quite small. Brittany is the on-island property manager, and she was amazing. She was always quick to respond to anything we needed.
We would like to thank John for allowing us to stay in his lovely property. We enjoyed it!

Our stay was another wonderful and beautiful stay on the island! This was our first time staying at this property and as always, we thoroughly enjoyed our time, as it goes by so fast! There were 7 of us-5 adults and two children(15 & 10) We had plenty of room for all of us. Thank you Brittany for being so accommodating! She was so sweet and responded immediately when we had a question or two! The condo is exactly as it shows in the pictures! The beach on the property was beautiful. We rented the car (highly recommend if you want to freely travel around the island or take the car ferry over to St. John) It was an easy quick drive to RedHook from the condo!

We stayed for a week and had a wonderful experience! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the location was ideal for enjoying St Thomas and St. John. Communicating with John and the house manager was easy and helpful. Would highly recommend this accommodation!

Property was as described. Considering that the community is over 50 years old, maintenance was rather good. Location ideal. Amenities were all that was needed. Would definitely stay again.

The location of the property couldn’t have been any better! It was was only a short taxi drive away from the popular Red Hook area for shops, restaurants, grocery store and ferry. The condo had beach access and pool access along with two onsite restaurants (accessible by steps). Plenty of things to do including beach,!pool and snorkeling. The condo owner was super responsive when booking and also when we had car trouble. The property manager on-site was responsive also which was much appreciated! We would definitely stay here again!!

Ok but could have been better
A few things weren’t working. Dishwasher, one room AC didn’t cool enough- the rest of the ACs worked great though. Whole house has units. We were not notified in advance and apparently they knew the dishwasher didn’t work. No trash bags, laundry soap in the condo and the place in general was not too clean. Still only one dish towel. We had to use bathroom towels to hand wash the dishes. One bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned and there was a bathing suit hanging in the shower. The bathroom mirror is broken in the corner with tape over it. The place was decent but the crew who readies the place for the next guests fell short. Agreed the cleaning fee is a bit much especially when we bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the place ourselves. Property manager was very nice and responsive but I probably wouldn’t have stayed here had I known the issues.

Accurate photos but broken dishwasher :(
Location was great, but beware of stairs and hills! Coming from the mainland, driving on the left side of the road was a different experience and the windy roads did not help. The dishwasher was broken and we were not told that it didn’t work until we walked into the condo on the 4th day of staying there and there was a man working on it. Was quite startled to be honest. All we had was one dish towel and no sponges to at least hand wash. I will say, Brittany the property manager was quick to respond and even delivered some sponges for us, I just wish we were notified ahead of time that the dishwasher wasn’t working. Property could’ve been cleaner especially for the 300+ cleaning fee. The dryer takes a few cycles to actually dry especially if washing towels. Our stay was great just a little modifications would’ve made it 10x better.

Great Stay - Beautiful Property
We just finished up our stay at Cowpet Bay. The property owner John was great to work with and we had no problems getting into the property after a long flight from Boston.
The condo is clean and well appointed with comfortable beds and great views. I spent my mornings with coffee on the lanai overlooking the lagoon reading my book. The path down to the beach and pool is a short walk and is paved with hand railings. There are two restaurants on the property and the pool is great. Right around the corner is redhook with some of the best food and bars on the island.
Overall we had a wonderful trip with friends. Just what we needed to escape the Boston weather. Thanks John for a great stay!

Family get away
The property was great. The location worked perfectly for our family of 5. The condo layout was nice and the bedrooms are very sound proof. The condo was very clean. It is a few minute down hill walk to the beach and pool. This worked fine for us but if you have small children it might be a bit of a challenge.

Great place for a family vacation
This property was great for our family vacation. The condo was well stocked with necessities. It was an easy walk to the beach and pool. We also used the owner’s car and were able to easily get around the island. Hopefully we can get back to St Thomas again and would definitely stay in this unit again if it were available.

Clean, Convenient, and Confortable Stay
At first, my partner and our friends had a hard time finding a good location for all of us before a bare boat trip to St. John’s until we found this place! The hosts were attentive and kind. The place was also super clean. But the best part was access to the beach and proximity to what I believe to be the best restaurant on the island — Caribbean Fish Market.

Great location
We stayed here for a couple of nights before catching a ferry to the BVI, and then again for a couple of nights after returning from the BVI and before heading to the mainland. It is a great place. Very comfortable, great amenities, good restaurants both walking distance and a short cab ride away. The beach is nice and clean, as is the pool and hot tub area. I would stay here again.
