This is a beautiful cabin has everything you may need for your stay. We had two adults and three teenagers and there was plenty of room. It is located century to hiking,Helen, and Ruby falls. If I had to suggest anything it would be probably to upgrade the TVs and maybe put a TV in the two spare bedrooms there is a TV in the master bedroom but not the other two bedrooms not that this was a big problem at all (except for my 16 18 year old lol) the property manager Steve was super easy to communicate with and even though we really didn't have any problems I felt very comfortable if we did he would have took care of it pretty quickly.

This property was great for our family. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck, listened to all the birds and enjoyed the fall colors. Spent time in the hot tub everyday.

The cabin is even prettier than the pictures. We loved the remote location and the quiet beauty of the woods. We thoroughly enjoyed having a fire in the wood stove each night. The kitchen is not large but was sufficient for our needs. We brought a group of six women for a prayer retreat and the table and living room were perfect for our size group. The king size bed upstairs was very comfortable. Some of the women said the queen size beds downstairs were a little hard. Everyone agreed that the cabin was very comfortable and pleasant in general. We never did find a firepit, though. Maybe we misunderstood the listing. The hot tub is outside and looks beautiful, but we enjoyed the wood stove so much we never got in the hot tub. I would stay here again.

Repeat visit to Mountain Laurel Chalet/Sautee/Helen for anniversary. Awesome area with lots to do. Mountain Laurel Chalet is a great “home away from home”, and the owner is extremely nice, accommodating, and excellent with communication.

We stayed at the Mount Laurel Chalet for 10 days in July 2023. We came to Georgia to hike in the Chattahoochee National Forest and surrounding areas. This home location was ideal for the hiking we had planned.
The town of Helen is very close. If you enjoy spending time in a tourist location this is the town. We shopped at Betty’s and ate at the house most of our trip. However, Helen offers many restaurants/bars, there’s tubing in the town as well as other activities.
Overall, this was an ideal home for us and we loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking!

Cute, quaint little cabin in the woods. With everything you need for a relaxing retreat in the woods with all the comforts of home. Steve is a friendly host, and was quick to respond to accommodate all our needs. We had a comfortable stay, and the hot tub is great after a long day of hiking. Just keep in mind the cabin is a bit off the beaten path so if you're more of a city slicker be advised. But makes for quiet and peaceful get away from reality. Definitely would stay again!

The pictures on vrbo made the home seem smaller than it really is. Coming up the driveway to the home took our breath away. The stairs to the front door was hard for my 83 year old mom. But even she could not stop raving over how wonderful the home was. The whole house is bigger than we thought it would be, very well equipped, and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day after the wedding and reception we attended this weekend. The beds were comfortable and the whole hose cozy. Wish we had more time to just hang out there to relax.

Wonderful as usual. My third stay at Steve’s place and it will not be the last! I’ve stayed here for a summer family vacation, a girl’s weekend and just enjoyed an anniversary getaway with my hubby. It feels like home away from home! Easy access to attractions with the quiet, secluded privacy you want in the mountains.

We had some health issues before our booking and the owner worked with us to move our dates, and when we had a small issue with the heating, he was very responsive, so a shout out to the owner for terrific service. The property is beautiful, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. It was very well set up for babies and young children. The hot tub was a delightful bonus! The location is stellar as long as you know you will be traveling a well-maintained gravel road for about a mile

The chalet was WONDERFUL! Such a beautiful setting, and it was stocked with everything you could need. It’s exactly as pictured which is rare. The host, Steve, was easy to communicate with as well. We can’t wait to go back!

We enjoyed the secluded feel but close to town location. The property had everything we needed for home cooker meals even a crockpot that allowed us to start soups for dinner before we went out for our day of exploring. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away from city life for some mountain relaxation.

Beautiful chalet
We were glad to be away from the Hustle and bustle of Helen at times. Our communications with Steve was spot on. We do believe some of the foliage was overgrown, maybe it is manicured and trimmed back in the spring. The beds were comfortable and it was a pleasant experience

Mountain Laurel Chalet
The chalet met all our expectations. Steve was easy to work with and the check in process was a breeze. Property is secluded and quiet . Helen is a mere 10 minutes away. We visited Betty s Country Store every day for groceries. The deck should be swept after each visitor and the pads for the chairs newer and kept inside . We would stay here again if we ever visit Helen, Ga in the future. Thanks VRBO and Host Steve for making our mini vacation an easy process and a lovely homey place to stay.

Beautiful place!
A very enjoyable stay! Beautiful place, my only grievance would be that I couldn’t turn the temperature on the air conditioning below 70, but I understand the reason behind it! We look forward to going back!

Much needed girls trip
My sister and I came up with 4 of our closets friends for out first annual girls trip. We had so much fun. The cabin was perfect for the get away we were looking for. We checked in on Friday, easy process, punch in the code and access to the property. We went to dinner at Cowboys and Angels, enjoyed some drinks and live music. Then we spent the rest of the evening sitting on the front deck talking and sharing stories. Saturday we cooked breakfast in the cabin, everything was there we needed we just brought the food! We spent some time in town then back to the cabin by 4pm and spent the evening, line dancing with the videos provided, playing cards and laughing a lot. We did hear a bear Saturday night and found evidence of him at the dumpster next door the next morning, he had thrown trash all over the road and going back up the woods to our cabin. All in all it was a great trip and this cabin held everything we needed to make memories!

Exceeded our expectations
The photos & description of the property are completely accurate. If you are looking for a quiet, private setting with plenty of room, this rental is perfect! It was everything we were promised & more! Plenty of space, clean, comfort with plenty of amenities (some we didn’t even use). We cooked meals daily over one week and still did not utilize all of the supplies. There were plenty of dishes, utensils & kitchen tools. We were so pleased with our entire stay!

Beautiful mountain chalet
Everything about this place was perfect. We enjoyed our days hiking the endless trails in the area. We soaked in the hot tub after long day's on the trails. The chalet was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It is unbelievably quiet in the area. We sat outside at night and watched the stars on the front and back decks. We hated to leave at the end of our stay. Would definitely stay here again.
