La situation exceptionnelle. Les bonnes choses à manger prêtes pour le petit déj. La table dehors.
Une rénovation un peu trop cheap. Le mobilier de la cuisine cheap. Chambres très petites.

Very peaceful, quiet setting. Wonderfully appointed. Very responsive owners via emails.
VERY minor things. Such as no outlets in the bathroom to dry use a hair dryer. Having to. Take out your own trash. (I assume that they’ve had poor renters in the past).

This cottage is a gem. It has everything you need from a self catering accommodation and more. It gives the impression of an old, rural and secluded place while providing every modern comfort. We definitely recommend a stay there!
Just be careful on the steep staircase leading to the bedrooms!
4.7
Very clean. Nice kitchen, even a small dishwasher.

The keys were left on the table in the living room - very easy to pick up and we did the same when we left. There was no need to wait for anyone which made it very convenient for us.
House is in a really peaceful and lovely location. We could see clouds descend on the mountains viewed from the front of the property and kids loved saying hello to the neighbour's sheep whom they named Fluffy and Pompom.
Facilities were great - the bathtub and water pressure were fantastic. Super clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable, self-catering stay.
The Co-op is < 10 mins drive away and pretty well equipped so it was easy - particularly as we had a car.
Nice bonus was the Pictish stone visit just up the road - one of 2 found on the Isle of Skye!
The hot water ran out after one shower or one kids combined bath. We just planned it such that there was an hour break between each of us showering and this meant we could all have a hot shower.
If you plan to do laundry, take your own detergent as this isn't available at the property.
If you are here in the summer, beware of midges - keep the windows closed and stay inside at sundown and sunrise as they are abundant and if you are susceptible to their bites, it can be brutal.
The bins are at the end of the drive way in case you are wondering where they are to clean up at the end of your stay. Turn around from the gate and walk back to where it meets the road and you will see it. If you are from England, please note that you cannot recycle glass in the recycle bin.

perfectly presented little cottage in the middle of Skye. away from it all. great view of hills. not too far from town. warm and cosy. had everything we needed for our 2 nights as a family of 4. could have easily stayed longer.
as they mention, the water pressure is lousy. but the location makes up for it. stairs to upstairs bedrooms and bathroom downstairs may bother some people?…

We traveled with our family. Two kids, 5-year-old and 18 month old. The cottage was perfect size for our family and the perfect location to have a base on Skye. We really enjoyed the snacks left by the host, helped brighten our spirits after a longe travel day to the Island. The hosts were exceptional in providing local recommendations and idea for exploration. Really appreciated the efforts they put in to make it a wonderful stay.

Lovely cozy cottage, very warm and extremely clean. Tastefully decorated throughout and great views of the surrounding countryside. Would highly recommend.

Superb location for those looking for peace and quite - but close to town.

clean, tidy and very cozy. everything had been thought of, and the decor was very well thought of! a great location, a little far out of town but that was what we wanted!

It was pretty, warm, and inviting. It was well equipped.
It was very hard to find in the dark but the host was very helpful by telephone.

Easy to warm up and the beds were comfortable
Nobody at check-in or the check-out to greet you.
You have to drive 15 min from portree to reach the cottage

This place was special. Our favorite place in our 10 day adventure all over Scotland and Ireland. Sheep welcoming commitee at front door entrance was the best! Cottage is amazingly clean and comfortable and kitchen though small is totally stocked with every utenzil you will need, and I've rented many cottages/condos over the years. We only rented it for 2 nights and I hope to next time rent it for a week or more so I hope its available. I almost didnt want to write this review and have more peopel rent it...I just loved it. It was three of us on our trip but this cottage could have easily hosted 4 people very compfortably.

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed. Beautiful location, would highly recommend.

it’s good for being totally relaxed if you drive a car, otherwise it would be very difficult to find the place. it located on the mountain top, with hundreds of years history. if you gonna spend several days here it would be so great to chill.
no enough hot water for more than 2 ppl if you are all tired and wanna take a shower.
4.7
Stunning location n up to date decor.
Could do with a small hand towel per person or an extra one. We had 2 between 4, one for your hands in the bathroom n only one other between 2 couples.
4.7
Really comfy and cosy. A home away from home. Well equipped. Great views and location.
4.7
So cosy, perfect base to explore the whole island.

It was modern, clean and a great spot to stay in Skye.
Nothing - everything was great!
4.7
it was ideally located within close proximity to Portree and other amenities, but far enough away to be private.

The property was exactly what I had imagined it to be and wanted it to be. It's remote and secluded and peaceful but with proximity to main town within reasonable drive time. It was cosy and very warm (which I cant say about all the places we stayed at this time of year!) It had everything we needed and was beautifully presented! Thoughtful breakfast extras too! The owners were very quick in communicating. I'd like to have stayed longer.
The bathroom is new looking and renovated beautifully but unfortunately the shower isnt the best. We only stayed a couple of nights so I wasnt too bothered but if I needed to wash my hair, it would have been difficult with such low pressure.
4.7
If you’re looking for the most peaceful quiet and comfortable stay away from busy life this is the one. I wished we could have stayed longer I felt so at home and cosy in the lovely bedroom. Was an amazing location away from it all but also only 15 min or less drive to the nearest town.
To sleep at night with no sound other than the rain was pretty special. Great hosts thanks again.

Location and cottage was nice

The location was amazing, not hard to find, a good base to navigate the rest of the island and beautiful views. Perfect for watching the sun rise. The cottage sits in a little closed in garden equipped with seating and a fire pit. Fantastic for sitting out and watching shooting stars. Lovely little breakfast basket too and coffee, tea and juice.
There wasn't much to grumble about. We stayed August bank holiday weekend and got eaten alive by midge's. We had insect repellent but they were relentless, wish we would have had some candles but kept forgetting them at the shop. That being said it didn't take anything away from our holiday. A great base for a family of four. It was missing a guest book, always good to get little bit's of info from previous visitors things to see, places to eat, places to go etc.
4.7
Location and view were great
Property needed a better clean and more cooking utensils and facilities. Oven and fridge weren't very clean! Thought it was a little overpriced for the level of additional facilities and comfort compared to where we stayed the few nights prior on Skye.
4.7
Beautiful cottage, amazing location, great base for exploring Skye. We loved our stay!
A cosy fire/wood burner would’ve been good for the evenings but other than that the property was fantastic.
