Lovely setting, great food
The temperature in the room was so hot, a fan woulda be great

Location is excellent. Dinner was lovely and the staff were fantastic, great service and atmosphere. Lovely bar and grounds
The breakfast was adequate, not much choice of fruit or pastries. The service at breakfast wasn’t as welcoming or friendly, we felt we were an inconvenience. Also none of the doors in our room shut properly, which was tricky.

The setting and atmosphere were lovely, and the waitresses were very accommodating with our requests
The sound proofing was poor so you can hear what was happening in other bedrooms and our taps were very loose

The staff very friendly the surroundings very picturesque
It was dated and cold

The lovely location, interesting old buildings and vehicles, the relaxed vibe in the restaurant and pub, the outdoor medieval style booths for drinking and dining in, the great food and staff.
wifi was patchy, especially in upper floors of the mill house

Adorable. Clean. Friendly staff

breakfast, dinner, huts and seating near lake
Mattress on bed fairly hard. steep stairs to room and to breakfast room. Luckily, we didn't have rain during our stay, otherwise we would have got wet going from our room to our meals. Entrance to and exit from hotel was hazardous.

Excellent choice at breakfast and you could have various combinations of the full English breakfast to suit. Very healthy options. Very friendly and accommodating staff. A most pleasant and interesting hotel in fabulous countryside.
Very highly recommended.
We really can’t think if anything we didn’t luke.

The staff were excellent at this hotel. The cooked breakfast was also excellent. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite and I have to say….the bed was huge. Best part about out stay to be honest. I think during the summer months, this location will be stunning. Hot air balloons took off just outside our window on the weekend of our stay. That was awesome.
My only niggle, was the tired carpets and curtains. A coat of fresh paint would have made a big difference too. But it didn’t ruin our stay.

Really good dinner in the a la carte dining room. Lamb rump was perfectly cooked for me (I don’t see why meat must always be served pink), it was tender, juicy and flavoursome. The veg were also spot on. They apologised for the limited wine list (new one being prepared) but we had their top priced red, a Malbec at £23, and it really was pretty good. The bar was quite limited too, I couldn’t get a bourbon, but they had Remy Martin.
Breakfast was more ‘random’. The full English was served with fried bread (how refreshing!) and everything you’d expect, though one could pick the odd hole - the black pudding was dry and hard. But it was generally well cooked, a decent sausage etc. the coffee was appalling but replaced with a fresh pot immediately.
The bedroom was plain, the bathroom was clean but absolutely tiny.
The separate pub was fine for a couple of pints, there seemed to be no pub menu that day.
The site is littered with classic and military vehicles that are becoming an eyesore, and there has Been a definite fascination with fairground stuff. We didn’t want a Premier Inn this time, we got something of comparable cost, quirky but arguably better value

A wonderful and peaceful oasis in a beautiful part of the world - with great staff and lovely meals (both breakfast and dinner). Surrounded by interesting buildings and outlook, definitely will return.
Nothing - the whole experience was a delight.

Lovely pretty location, staff super friendly, excellent breakfast, dinner and xmas day lunch. Great value.
The room although it was clean and warm needed updating. The most annoying thing was the waste pipe from the room above us seemed to be in the wall right next to our bed and every time someone upstairs pulled the flush or had a shower we could hear the water running down the pipe!! Would ask for an upstairs room next time.

Haselbury Mill is a very picturesque destination, with something for everyone. Rooms are in an eighteenth century house, close to the river Parrett which has a long distance walking trail. There is a formal restaurant for dinner, but also a range of beach hut type shelters and a gypsy caravan in a popular pub garden, facilities for glamping and a mediaeval tithe barn for weddings. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast buffet service was excellent. The room was comfortable. There is a fair amount of walking between the house and the restaurant, so if you have mobility issues, I would recommend checking what assistance is available before booking.
Dinner in the restaurant was excellently cooked, but the menu was not varied and the offer for vegetarians and vegans was very limited. We could only find one main course which we wanted to try. The pizza oven only fired up on 2-3 evenings a week and there didn't seem to be any light meals or bar snacks available.
