Fabulous friendly hotel in a great location!

Fabulous staff, and really good room, loved the bath!

Wasn’t keen on the wet room style bathroom, but it is a clever use of the space

Overall it was good. The bed was also fine and all the facilities were top quality. Staff were charming and very helpful

Fantastic stay from start to end.

Amazing place in Brighton to stay. The perfect location, walking distance to the main strip beach and the Lanes and centre. But far enough to feel the peace and quiet. We stayed in room 18 on the seafront at the very top. It was gorgeous listening to the sea in the morning with the window open. Loved the balcony and free standing bath. The staff were so lovely and helpful from start to finish. A fantastic stay that we loved, even more than The Grand where we stayed the next day. Breakfast was cooked to order and the bircher muesli was dreamy!

The stairs were a bit of a killer, but equally…we knew this when we booked being top floor and no lifts. It was good for exercise! The lack of plug sockets in the room. It could’ve done with one or two more at least.

Relaxing and just what we needed!

Location was beautiful and the surprise balcony to sit on was gorgeous at sunset! The bath and products felt like a spa. The bed was comfy!

Disappointed - style over substance - and even the style was not well executed

Staff were helpful and friendly, location good, breakfast good

Carpet in the bedroom didn't look like it had been hoovered - lots of fluff on it and dust in the corners. Also the armchairs in the room seemed very dusty and didn't look like they had been cleaned for a while. It seems that nowadays if there is a bath in the bedroom then people feel they can put a premium price on it. The bathroom was a wet room but was designed in such a way that as soon as you had a shower you then had to wipe down the loo as it was covered in water! Felt it was overpriced for what it was...

Currently No Lift for Guests.I am sure they are working on it.My room was on 3rd floor

A fabulous stay in inviting and quiet surroundings

Size of rooms fabulous bath and bath products, quiet and an excellent sized hotel. The bar was comfortable and inviting and we were within walking distance of many of the things we wished to do, staff were friendly and helpful. The water was really hot and the air con excellent.

Information in the room would have been useful on arrival.

Friendly staff, excellent service, beautiful room!

The staff was extra friendly! The room was so beautiful and we had a lovely time there even though we only stayed for one night! I would 100% go back and also recommend this place to our friends and family.

We liked EVERYTHING!! There is nothing to dislike!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The provision of a bath robe, green toiletries, and coffee bag exceeded the usual four star hotel standard in the UK.

The cleaning staff put a piece of furniture against my evening dress, which damaged the silk fabric. The room assigned to me had no 'city view' at all but a basement one with limited privacy

Great place for romantic stay

Loved everything about Drakes! The king size rooms were amazing, thoughtfully designed and the atmosphere was so relaxed, location was ideal - really loved it. Perfect for a birthday treat for my partner.

There wasn’t anything to fault tbh. Perhaps a toothbrush/ shaver point in the bathroom.

Excellent, would recommend and stay again!

We were greeted with a high level of friendliness and catered for extremely well. Check-in was straight forward and quick. Our room was spacious/very clean and had a cosy feel yet was not claustrophobic, 10/10 would visit again!

Excellent stay and amazing staff

Room was as shown. Very unique and amazing place to relax with a great sea view.

The noise. The noise from the road is loud, as if you got a window open. You got no chance of having a lay in or proper sleep because of it.

the drake is lovely but Brighton is not

the view. the staff. could not have been more helpful and pleasant. the cocktail lounge is cute and welcoming this hotel is a cut above a thing else on the strip.

the stairs. the broken tv, soap dispenser and not sound proof. for the nightly rate I expected more but the view was second to none on our little balcony. it was not the Drake I didn’t like really. it was Brighton. I found it run down, trashy. a bit of a ghost town really. full of homeless people. I actually felt unsafe walking on the foreshore at 5pm. I wouldn’t go back.

ok but not somewhere I would stay again

property was ok noisy not got a chilled stay room very small no sea view just felt cramped and a huge bath that was not needed or requested

housekeeping used a cupboard outside our room house keepers swearing and talking loudly did not want a clean and said no but still entered room shower was not great a wet room with everything getting wet felt like a boat or camper van loud banging and noisy up above us just not what we expected

Very enjoyable,

The hotel was modern and bright, staff helpful, I thought the complimentary toilets were a lovely idea

We were on the 3rd floor and we could hear the guests above us walking around their room all the time

Very comfortable stay..room just as pics..lovely bed linen/ toiletries...go the extra mile with the room service / food. Parking included too. Would definately return!

Staff were outstanding, hotel room, which we were moved to due to stairs issue, was superb

Room was super; ceilings were lovely. Walk in shower was very nice. Really good to have a stand alone heater if it got cold.

Unfortunately i did not know that there was no lift and my partner, who is recovering from a hip replacement could not do them but the staff very quickly helped us move room.
