A very special property in an amazing location in the heart of Furnas. The gardens are vast and magnificent and are available to hotel guests once it closes to the public. The hot springs with 24/7 access was an amazing perk. We loved going in the springs at night and star gazing. The hotel restaurant was very good, I loved my grilled fish special. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good.
The rooms were a bit dated and it was a bit noisy at times. The property was under construction so we felt like we missed out on some amenities since the jacuzzis were closed. The gardener restaurant was a bit lacking.

The food was phenomenal. The access to the thermal bath and botanical garden was great and well worth the price. Great spot for couples and families
Nothing bad to say here.

The on site hot springs and garden. The staff were very helpful.
No water bottles provided in the rooms and found the dinner menu in the restaurant disappointing, especially for the price.

It’s amazing place to stay!
hotel is nice, clean, has tasty breakfast.
and it’s so convenient to have access to thermals any part of the day you wish. We really enjoyed our stay, warm welcome, always smiling girls on the reception.
we liked the food in the bar, they serve light meals. and it was so pleasant to sit there in the evening. listen to live music and eat octopus salad (highly recommend!!).
special thanks to the hotel for the small robe for my daughter to use it for thermals.

The access to the garden and outside pool 24/7
Clean and comfortable
Nothing in particular (very good experience) but may be good to mention on your website the dates of the concerts, as well as foreseen a place to hang the swimming suits in the bathroom

Everything. Great hotel, great staff, great holiday.
The steam room has a dangerous lip on the entrance.

It is the fourth time we stayed at the hotel, and this time we were upgraded to the "Camélia" room, which is one of the deluxe suites that we had been "flirting" with since our first stay. It was simply marvelous. It was spacious and calm. Being a light-sleeper, the lack of outside noise and light from the windows is crucial for a comfortable stay.
I take the opportunity to, once again, thank the Terra Nostra team for the special attention and exquisite service, namely:
- Providing a 100% plant-based (vegan) breakfast. The breakfast team were truly helpful and kind, we really appreciate and thank them for their work an dedication (make sure to contact them in advance if you require special breakfast requests);
- The SPA services. It is the second time we book a SPA service, and hoping for many more to come;
- The front desk team, who were very helpful and received us with a warm welcome;
- The cleaning team, who kept our room in outstanding conditions;
- Being able to use the pools 24/7;
- The live music during the evening;
- The lovely gardens and the great work developed and maintained by the outside staff.
Thank you, once again, for everything; we will be back soon!
There are few little things that can always be improved. I like to mention them so the Hotel can keep up the great work:
- The shower kept leaking water to the remaining bathroom floor, even when we reduced the water pressure. My suggestion would be to better isolate the door to keep it from spilling water from the bottom;
- The main door to the room has a considerable gap from the floor, which lets in a substantial amount of light and sound from the corridor. Had it been busy season, it would have, most certainly, become a nuisance. My suggestion would be to add a door extension that would minimise external noise and light;
- As always, having a bidet in the bathroom would be a huge plus. It is a typical Portuguese item that, unfortunately, is being forgotten in Portuguese hotels and newly-made constructions.

beautiful grounds and excellent restaurant for dinner; friendly and accommodating staff
The breakfast wasn’t particularly good for a nice hotel, especially given the quality of dinner. The coffee seemed to be instant coffee
We booked a room with 2 twin beds, but when we arrived it was 2 twin beds pushed together with a single set of sheets. The hotel staff was quick to separate and remake the beds, but the room was then very cramped (it would have been small just for one person and we were two).

Aside of well renown location and historical presence and ambience, we also enjoyed the food and service. The restaurant on dinner service has one of the best staff we ever seen, and the service itself is impeccable, ultra polite and forthcoming. The choice of food was great - we had 4 dinners where, and never been short on new dish or new Azorian wine to try.
The room (suite) was moderate in size for a suite, yet well organized and comfortable. The hotel is very generous in giving some presents and small things every day - like sweets twice per day! Tea & espresso facilities. The direct access to the park and ability to be there off the public hours is also very special thing. We also enjoyed billiard table in the bar on the evenings.
The parking is small, restricted to guests only, still a bit crampy (the city center overall is very packed and tight on parking - while a little further, next to Octant hotel, there plenty of free park spaces). The breakfast could have more variety or buffet, otherwise you have to stick to the daily offering plus some general bread/cheese/etc (albeit the bread was very nice!). The lunch is a tricky, as you have to use the bar + outdoor area, with a lot of Park guests coming in as well. Here, while appreciate the priority treatment for hotel guests and nice cocktails, I was shocked by the fact that people are still allowed to smoke right at the table in the cafeteria.

Hotel guests may visit the amazing park and the pools anytime outside the official working ours. Fantastic breakfast and comfortable rooms. Helpful and kind staff.
We booked two different rooms to our five-member family with three children and the hotel did not.warn us after the booking that the two rooms were in different buildings.

This place is truly a gem, from lush, epic gardens and hot springs to the wonderful breakfast included in the stay. Not to mention, this Sanctuary feels removed from the world but is only a 25 minute walk from the lake and very centrally located in Furnas. Excellent service from thr staff, I can't wait to return.
Everything was perfect although installing another door at the end of the shower would be good to prevent water spillage and appointing rooms with hairdryers would also be welcomed. 0 real complaints.

The breakfast was an excellent spread served by experienced and considerate staff. We have a 3-year-old and they patiently took our requests as our son prefers food served separately.
The Wi-Fi connection in our bedroom (301) was really poor. I think this is badly in need of improvement. Also the main restaurant was booked even before we arrived at the hotel. Ofcourse we enjoyed the food at the cafe but I thought hotel guests would be given a preference. Other than that, we had an excellent stay, staff are polite, friendly and welcoming.
