large room and excellent bathroom and spacious grounds to walk around
the approach road needs tidying up by the council
4.1
Room size.
Cleanliness of room. Lack of a ventilation system - open windows lets in loads of flies from service yard. Fan provided was inadequate and noisy (a portable air-con unit would have been the solution)
4.1
Location
Very tired
4.1
The grounds and the very friendly reception and bar staff
4.1
The location, the size of the bedroom. Bathroom was new and in order.
The room was large but very outdated. The carpet, curtains were ill fitted, and faded.
The windowsills were full of dead flies.
Tarmac by entrance hotel really needs renewing.
The restaurant lacked ambiance ( the remainder of a wedding was there and not tidied away.
Chairs and tables were piled up on the side of (beautiful) staircase…
All in all needs management and clean up and overhaul.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly, she deserves a pay rise for continuing to smile while having to listen to the awful music all evening.
I didn't like the bar closing at 9.45.
4.1
Comfortable bed, plenty of space.
Being able to walk round the Country Park.

Lovely room size and bathroom. Great room
What sounded like a hand dryer going off at random below our bedroom until about 1am. Really took away from the really lovely experience.
4.1
mattress cheep and uncomfortable - bedsheets cheep and uncomfortable.
for £200 plus a night hotel the standard of the bed and bed sheets was very poor
mattress and sheets

Being like a country feel in a old home , different to our normal type of accommodation was nice to be able to take the time to go for a walk around the hotel
4.1
Location, history, style of the hotel, staff
Neighbouring room made so much noise and loud talking from about 4am. We left early as we had been awake

Good sized room and bathroom.
No atmosphere in the dining room at night. Buffet breakfast was not replenished.

Lovely building! The room was big, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly!
4.1
Very large sized rooms, quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms are nice, clean and modern. The location is nice for getting to the city, but still remaining in a quiet parkland.
Limited choice at the restaurant.

Décor, statuesque room and bathroom size.
Non working standalone shower, other loose fixtures and fittings.

Room was great and one of the best bathrooms I’ve ever seen. Location is great with a lovely country park to walk around.

The welcome as soon as we entered the building, warm and friendly, Saskia was very helpful, guiding us to our room and answering all our questions.
Sharing information about the local area and availability of food and drinks.
The room itself was huge, with a beautiful ensuite bathroom which included a bath and all commodities needed.
The room included TV, kettle, tea and coffee bottled water, hairdryer which is a dream, iron and trouser press.
The grounds are stunning which also has a lake with a path, leading to and from the hotel.
The hike up the stairs, it's not a negative and it's not the hotels fault, I booked last minute and as I say it's not a complaint, I'm just not very fit.
4.1
lovely historical country house hotel
it’s a bit tired
