Clean environment and rooms, attitude of restaurant staff not impressive.

Clean environment

Poor customer service by restaurant staff especially waiters. Menu is limited we had to go to the sister lodge to get some variety, and most of the things on the menu were unavailable. My kids settled for Pizza half the time.

We had a lovely stay. I highly recommend the place.

The breakfast had varieties. Well prepared. The only misgiving was that brewed coffee was charged separately. It was not part of the bed and breakfast package.

Housekeeping did not replace the drying towels after cleaning the room. We had to make requests.

I did not enjoy my stay because I had to drive to a nearby lodge for food

The rooms met my expectations..the breakfast was ok.

They subjected us to a buffet in the evening,their food is not up to standard compared to other lodges in the area.The manager who attended to us on the second night was quite rude.

Great location but accommodation needs a revamp, very outdated.

The newly renovated restaurant and terrace were good, open and bright and had a nice feel to it.

Room needs to be updated, bathroom door didn't close, no hot water, balcony couldn't be used as it was dirty and had only 1 chair. The room was situated in a very noisy part of the lodge. Had to end our dinner early as the conference that was held had their own DJ and the music was too loud so one couldn't actually have a conversation, and the music went on until early hours of the morning. Reception didn't know what they had on offer.

Bravo 👏 👏 👏 Lake Safari

View was great facing the lake . Enjoyed the scenery as it was relaxing Breakfast was excellent more than I expected Food went for traditional cuisine. Fresh and tasty. Well prepared The service I requested I received on time and done with great care. Finally the staff friendly smiling faces made us free at home. Polite and Respectfull

TV facilities did not work properly us but that did not bother us and we still had a great time relaxing on the patio listen to the sounds from the lake

Excellent Location. My room was big, clean and jacuzzi in the bathroom was impressive. The pool and poolside bar is excellent

disappointing

The new pool/bar/restaurant are was really very enjoyable.

Room was old and in need of renovations. Had no hot water and the bathroom needs ventilation. Balcony was not cleaned and had only 1 chair so couldn’t sit and enjoy the view. There was a conference on Friday and in the evening all the delegates had dinner in the restaurant and the the music was way too loud that you couldn’t have a conversation at the dinner table. we left to go to our room and the music which we were told would end at 22:00 went on to just after 01:00.

Lovely location overlooking the lake

Lake Safari Lodge is very well located on Lake Kariba, and it is perfectly positioned to catch the sunset. There are two pools, one of which is closer to the river and offers a fantastic view thereof. The food is very good and decently priced, especially the cocktails! I had an issue with my door lock (couldn't lock) but the staff were very responsive and came to fix it promptly.

Room decor is a bit dated; could do with a refresh and modernising.

Beautiful, BUT

The whole hotel area is very beautiful, lots of flowers and greenery, great view of the lake. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Lovely food, although charging 250 kwacha for dinner, which does not even include drinks, is a bit too much. (And charging extra for proper coffee at breakfast.)

I felt like I was paying just for the location of the place. European pricing for not European standard of accommodation. The pool and restaurant area seemed to have been reconstructed, but the room and especially bathroom were a bit old and run down. No mosquito nets - not over the bed, neither in the windows. As a result there was a lot of insects, especially in the bathroom, and I had to close everything after dark. Without any flow of air, the room had a bit of a funky smell. Moreover, I did not appreciate the design of the room, where the whole front was made of glass. That left me with a choice of either staying in the dark with the curtains covering the glass, or having no privacy, as the staff kept passing by 100x a day, always peeking into my room.
