Such a shame. Unrealised potential.

Lovely meal in restaurant. Loved the historic aspect, sweeping staircase and central location.

You failed to book us in but expect feedback! Expected a back packer experience but no excuse for the filthy floors in the bathrooms and other 'Hotel Inspector' cleaning nightmares. Did a bit myself!

Took me back in time to old school error - special

Dinner was fantastic ..great service, huge quantities, tasted great. Nice staff highly recommend dinner. The place is old but we liked it. TV room had sky TV and cozy couches. Thank you 😊 J

Met our needs very well & would happily book again. Upstairs was quiet.

Felt unclean and uncomfortable - don’t do it.

The location was handy and there was plenty of space in the car park. Body soap and shampoo provided.

The bedding appeared to have been used in 2/3 beds in one of our rooms. Dead skin, dried blood and hair were found on the sheets, which looked like someone had spent a nights sleep in them already even though the beds had been made. The towels were clean but some had stains on. There was also a plaster/bandaid on the shower wall.

Great stopover place to stay

The room suited the 3 of us, it had a tv, we had use of the communal kitchen to make coffee, the beds we’re comfortable and the shower was hot.

The building is historic, interesting to stay at just is dated.

good location and the room met expectations. they don’t over sell it.

there was a dripping tap in the bathroom in room 33. I did mention it and they said that they’d passed the message on but no one seemed to be bothered about it. Must be costing them a fortune. Also the restaurants closes very early. I went for dinner about 7.15pm one night to be told the chef wanted to go home and to go somewhere else.

Not enough PowerPoint in a family room ONE POWER POINT to charge phones. Beds were uncomfortable. No toaster available in kitchen Need a lift available for people like myself with issuses.

The room key does the front door which means every other room key will also be able to access your room. I could hear someone snoring in the next room.

Dirty and noisy

Antique building

Unclean, noisy location. Moldy bathroom. Unclean discusting shower curtain. Shower where u could actually put your finger through the wall it was in such decay!. Unclean shower tray. Dusty room, no fan in room, no fridge in room. No milk fir tea or coffee. No general pride here in such a beautiful hotel could be better maintained and cleaned at least daily but looks like no one bothers.

Very disappointing

Restaurant was good with friendly bar staff. Excellent location.

Room hadn't been cleaned, poo in toilet, dead flies, fleas in bed, rubbish and dead bugs on top bunk. Rubbish under beds. Toothpaste on bathroom cupboard, towels smell of cigarette smoke. Very dated, paint flaking off everything. Will not be back.

Exceptional

This place was amazing! I booked abit late, but they were able to cater to my needs as I booked this place for work and due to the flooding I wasnt able to go further up because the roads were closed so I came here they even let me come through with extra late check in which was amazing

We didn’t have breakfast there, but the position was fine.

The location was fine, but the cleanliness of the toilets and showers was poor, being a weekend when we were staying, it looks as though no staff was on to clean the facilities
