The room was good and also had enough space and the staffs were friendly.
The parking space wasn’t enough.
Some of the facilities that were mentioned in their website weren’t there. (Eg: Wi-Fi, Toiletries, Bathroom slippers)

They organise a pick up for us at the train station as it is 9km away from the Hotel. The hotel was very nice and our beds very comfortable. Sachin the driver drove us to Horton Plains and to tea plantations and waterfalls. The chef who stays at the hotel would prepare a fire every evening and cook for us whenever we would be hungry. The place is cold at night but the fire and the many duvets on the beds were enough to keep us warm.

Himawari hills was an excellent hide away in the thick foggy mountains in Nuwaraeliya, just 7 min to the City. Robert and Devdas made our stay very pleasant with their milk teas, and meals that were specially made to fit our needs. Will definitely come back.

Our stay was wonderful. although they don't provide any meals, you can ask them to cook for you by giving them raw vegetables or whatever things you want to have. one thing, you have is to bring towels and soap with you because the room doesn't have them. staff was super friendly and helpful and they cooked us delicious dinner and BBQ. the stay was worth money and will come again and I recommend to anyone.

The host was very helpful with arranging Tuktuks and tours and there was hot water.
Maybe this was unique for our room (room 110), but it had a heavy smell of food as the kitchen ventilation must have had its outlet in our room. When we arrived we didn’t notice the smell, but later in the evening when we were going to bed the smell became more or less unbearable. Too tired to do anything about it at the time, we hoped it would pass during the night. In the morning it was better, so we didn’t think about it more during the day, but when we got back late in the evening again we figured out about the kitchen ventilators and since this was our final night we just didn’t have the energy to bother even though the smell was terribly strong. While the construction of the house wasn’t the host’s fault, we just couldn’t understand why they had given us that room with almost no windows (only by the floor and another very small one) and with the damn kitchen ventilators when the rest of the house seemed more or less empty. I’m glad we only stayed two nights, but that short time was enough to make all our clothes literally REEK of grease and curry, and only thinking of the smell in that room now makes my stomach turn. On top of that, one of our towels was dirty with large brown marks and smelled like men’s perfume even though they insisted on that it was clean. When we asked for a new towel they put the towel we asked to return back in the pile of “clean” towels. The room and the sheets in the bed didn’t feel crispy or clean either, but I guess that’s what you get for this fairly low price. The breakfast was decent, and because of the average nature of it, I guess you could say that it was expensive. They also have an extensive list of house rules which just felt a little weird, and having to pay to play pool (500 lkr per hour) when the hotel has a pool table also felt unnecessary. Also, perhaps like it is with many places in Nuwara Eliya, the house was really cold.
