We enjoyed everything about our stay, the best place yet!

The inn is beautifully presented with pretty flowers and fantastic views. The staff were very friendly and the food was generous and tasty with traditional and modern options.

Cosy, Comfortable with amazing views

We loved the views, friendly staff, comfortable and cosy rooms, especially all the little touches like toiletries, flannels, welcome note on the TV, ironing board etc. Breakfast was fantastic, great food and service

Great overnight stopover

We stayed for one night after visiting family and friends. Check in was easy and we were shown to our room and shown the facilities and how to get access after 11pm. Room was comfortable and quiet and breakfast was lovely. Perfect stay!

Comfortable stay with friends in a lovely hospitable pub with very pleasant staff.

Very friendly staff, lovely rooms and comfortable beds. Enjoyed a great evening meal and 2 yummy breakfasts. Ideally located for an event we were attending.

Our room was slightly dark but not a big issue.

A traditional gem in the high peak

Absolutely great place to stay. Rooms are lovely - high quality furnishings and bathrooms, spacious, spotlessly clean. Thoughtful touches like fresh milk in a cold thermos in the room rather than plastic tubs. The breakfast was superb - generous portions, lots of choice, thick cut bacon, fresh fruit salad and proper coffee (a rarity indeed!). The pub food in the evenings was very tasty and lots of choice. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Lovely views across the hillside. Plenty of parking.

The Pack Horse more than met my expectations - I would recommend it to anyone.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Quiet. Inclusive breakfast more than adequate, plenty of choice. Room facilities well thought out, everything provided including fresh milk !

External concrete steps to the room, not mentioned on booking, were a minor hazard - I have some mobility issues - but as I didn’t mention this on booking, it was my mistake. The TV was too high to view comfortably from the chair - again a very minor niggle.

A real gem

Just as good as when we first stayed last year. Comfortable room, tasty food with excellent portions, and friendly helpful staff. Lovely country pub/hotel atmosphere. Will be back.

Lovely little place with the greatest staff.

Very quaint but modern. Great food - both dinner and breakfast. Amazing staff. Good sized bath and plenty of hot water.

My room was on the road and when traffic started up in the morning I could hear it and the car headlights lit up my room each time they went past. The shower was fab but couldn’t turn it down so was a touch too hot.

We have found real gem,staff where so friendly and the service was excellent throughout our stay. Food was excellent and lots of choices on the menu. Looking forward to my next visit.
