The yurt was so cosy. Enough room for 4 adults. The wood burner was a game changer. The bed was comfy and the location is amazing!
Nothing!

Superb location, comfortable and spacious accommodation
0nly issue was other campers were using the toilet designated only for the Yurts.
4.6
Little things included in the price were good, for example the coins for the showers etc.
Showers could have been hotter and a bit more powerful.
There should be a sign on the gates to the yurts stating that the toilet is for the use of yurt customers only, we went out a number of times and shut the gate, only to find that when we returned it was open and the toilet had been used and left dirty.

The campsite was well located amazing views comfy bed lake river shops on the doorstep kitchen was fantastic for making breakfasts would highly recommend anyone to go
Not alot of logs and gets cold so need to keep the log burner going early morning but that's the only downside

Really comfortable stay, bed very comfy and the facilities were a very good standard around the yurt, cooker worked well and had everything I needed. Daily air show was really good entertainment as well! One thing I would do next time is take a deck chair to enjoy the view from the decking!! Great week thanks very much.
Nothing.

The Syke Farm campsite is totally fabulous and the yurts are one of my favourite places to stay ever! Most peaceful location you could imagine, super close to the mountains and lakes, very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Will, who runs the place is also exceptionally helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Can’t wait until my next visit!

Oh Wow, the Yurt 🛖 was amazing, had everything we could need, loved the wood burner, it was so quirky. Very clean and super comfortable.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

The yurt was so cosy and well kept. Lots of thought had been put into it.
The facilities were great with running water in an outside kitchen area so you could clean up. There was even a hob for cooking on if you didn’t want to have a BBQ.
There is a compost toilet if you wish to use it however the toilet block isn’t far away.
Great pubs and restaurants close by too.
Nothing. Loved it.

Absolutely amazing will definitely be returning

The yurt and the location itself.
Solat panel might need an upgrade. Power runs out on our third day.

Incredible stay in a yurt!!!!! Since when do you go camping and have the comfiest bed EVER.
Insane views, two beautiful lakes to swim and paddle board in and a pub right next door for amazing food.
Absolutely nothing we dint like

Everything! The yurt was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and showed care. I even saw them going around the field making sure everyone's tents were well pegged in - it was very very windy. The scenery was stunning. Location was perfect for us. The tea room linked to the campsite was superb, the staff and food were lovely. We had one of our best UK holidays ever!
It would have been nice to have a shower within the yurt area. It didn't ruin it for us but we all thought that would have been the icing on the cake.

The yurt we stayed in was lovely with very comfortable beds. It was well equipped to add to the ease for a family with small children staying here. The location was stunning with lots of walks and lake visit around the site and lots to do near by.
4.6
A great location for exploring the Lakes. Staff member Sarah was very friendly and helpful. The bothy was useful for storing/freezing freezer blocks.
A table and hanging storage would be good in the yurt. Take at least 6 freezer blocks so you can swap them.

views and cleanliness
not enough showers

We had a lovely holiday, just wish we could have stayed longer. The yurt was lovely and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. The composting toilet was fine. We just needed to bring clothes and food. It was warm at night with the wood burner even when it poured down.
We will be back.
It would be good if there was a little shop on site or near by with essentials milk/bread/eggs. Or a food hamper option to save carrying quite so much but we managed well without it.

Everything so peaceful beautiful place excellent,
Great place to relax
Excellent base to explore the area 👏 👍
I can honestly say there is nothing
I didn't like about the site

Really lovely location and Yurt was super cute. Pet friendly too so our dog loved it! Solar powered lights inside the yurt too, but maybe take a spare torch as we couldn’t get them working on the second night but wasn’t really much of an issue. Would stay again!

The views are out of this world and it's the perfect retreat for peace and quiet
Abit of confusion on our first night as to which Yurt we were in and that delayed things abit but once we got in we were really happy with everything. The staff were apologetic and friendly.

There's not much to not like about Syke Farm campsite. Not my first visit but my first time in a yurt. There was a double bed and a bunk bed. Great as they are but might be a little challenging for space if they were to be split down as two singles.
Buttermere is a brilliant location for walking and is just down the road from Honister slate mine. The camp site is well located in Buttermere itself with two hotel bar/restaurants handy for dining plus a handful of other good facilities, ( including an ice creamery and a tea room). Thr yurts on the camp site are a good size for a small family & I will definitely be going back

Beautiful area/scenery. Very comfy beds. Lovely touch leaving a pot of 50p's for shower. The yurt heated up very quickly after lighting stove. Solar panel for charging phone was super handy.
The shared compost toilet. Other yurts occupants left it very smelly. We chose to go to shower block toilets. The shower block was at the opposite end of camp and only one shower in ladies. Not practical for 30+ campers. Kitchen area great but all utensils in drawer showed signs of rodents chewing them.

Very cosy, great location amazing scenery very quite when we stayed
No outdoor covering or umbrella no bbq.. Also had to pay for extra wood

Think Buttermere is my new favourite place in the lakes!
Excellent walk right next to the campsite round buttermere lake.
Toilet facilities luxurious.
Yurts - very nice, good facilities for cooking, camp fires and board games.
They supply a little pot 50p’s in the yurt for the showers which is a nice touch and useful when you forgot to bring them as the pub was all out.
We’re definitely going to visit again!
