Nice idea, could see what they were striving for. Duvet was good.
Leaking skylights; mould on bathroom ceiling ; dirty floors; cobwebs; no operating instructions for heating; cooker; door lock etc

Lobed the cabin and the are .
You a right next to the train track so slightly disturbed sleep . Wouldn't be so bad if you could see the trains though .
Cabin rattle from trains

Place was easy to find and access . It was clean and well decorated. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. We arrived last minute due to over booking in our hotel. The host managed to turn the cabins around for us arriving . Place is lovely right in the middle of the woods. Will defo be back. Kids loved it
Pillows were pretty flat and the curtains aren't black out so the light is in the rooms as soon as sun rises . This isn't a criticism as I know many people like different types of pillows . I am sensitive to light and as soon as there is light that's me awake. I will take my own pillows next time and a blackout sheet for the window . Again this is personal choice but really can't fault the place

The lodge was spacious, nice and warm and clean.
My only negative was the mattresses were basic and very uncomfortable and the occasional noise from trains as we was right next to the tracks.

The Lodge was fantastic, very clean, very spacious, very private, well equipped and the Hot Tub was amazing for the family to have as a bonus! Excellent stay from start to finish. James was on hand if we needed every step on the way. Perfect break away.
Nothing everything was perfect.

The building was large and welcoming. Each lodge was well situated on the site with good parking and enough privacy. The beds were comfy and it had all the key things you need in the kitchen.
The lodge needed a lot of maintenance. The shower screen in the family bathroom has no seal so using the shower flooded the whole bathroom. There was also a crack in the bath. This has obviously been a problem for a while because the bathroom smelled of damp/mould and there were air fresheners in the hall to cover it up. It rained a lot during our stay and 2 roof lights in the living/kitchen area leaked.

Everything, lovely lodge with excellent facilities

Lovely lodge, really big and perfect for what we needed and also the the little shop is so cute and a brilliant idea
Just a little thing, you have to bring your own towels but maybe nice to have some bath mats as we had to use our towels to mop up the floor from the shower
4.1
Easy check in meaning i could check in late at night as i was travelling up some distance after work.
Extremely clean.
Only critic would be i couldn't figure how to work the heating. Maybe a book or folder with some instructions in would help? Small issue in the grand scheme of things

the lodge needs tlc and the cleaning needs to be picked up on.
4.1
The room sizes and the location . The general feeling of the lodge was nice and cosy.
Should have more instructions (couldn’t figure out how to turn on the dishwasher.
The back door was a struggle to close .
Also, sofa was quite worn out.
The DVD player didn’t work either (the remote control didn’t have batteries. ) but that’s not why it wasn’t working .!

We liked how local it was to the town, yet rural and lovely areas for walks.
It was very homely and the facilities were great.
The little resort shop was fantastic too and so handy.
We had some trouble with raised flooring causing doors to stick and the front door stuck in corner when opening.
The lock system on the front door had to be fixed at one point but the maintenance man was there within minutes of me messaging about it which was great service.
4.1
spacious, comfy beds and luxurious sheets, some nice touches- skirting board level spotlights down hall, secure door locking system
poor communication from owner, all surfaces were ‘sticky’, ‘enclosed garden’ was a tiny courtyard, train line very close to properties

Great stay for our family, we stayed at hawthorne lodge, with great communication from James, would recommend, had a local wedding and was perfect to stay.. clean and tidy! everything you need..
4.1
Lodges are very roomy, bedding super soft, staff extremely helpful
Hot tub use additional charge, no mention of this in description, right next to railway line, strong smell around the lodges and son burst his car tyre on a sleeper that had moved
4.1
Nice interior, facilities good
Cleaning needs to be more thorough. Odd, sort of damp type smell throughout lodge.
Next to west coast mainline, but can't really be helped

beautiful lodge! very spacious.
The beds were so comfy and James was always available if we needed advice - also nothing was a problem for him as he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable! I would definitely stay here again. it’s a shame we only stayed for one night. Our kids are already asking to go back to the Holiday home.
I can’t think of anything at all. I’ve seen reviews on the drains etc. But for a lodge, I think the place was perfect.

Spacious lodge, well presented
'Check in' was a joke! Customer service appalling, rude! Lodge locked and freezing on arrival, hot tub not available for whole stay, advised day after arrival!
Other people trying to 'check in' helped us get in lodge by speaking to 'customer services' who then hung up on him! I would absolutely avoid this place at all costs .. for those that do risk booking.. towels not provided and hot tub not included in price £125 for 2 days... but don't expect to be able to use it as it won't be available! Oven filthy, mouse droppings in cupboard!

- Easy to just turn up and get into our lodge
- James was a helpful host who answered any questions quickly, we felt well informed for our stay
- Very comfy beds
- Great bath!, nice bathrooms
- We arrived late and left early, so can only comment on just having somewhere to sleep, but it was perfect for that!
- I took my dog, it was easy to book as an extra and she enjoyed her stay!
- The bedrooms didn't go completely dark at night, so if you're light sensitive I would recommend an eyemask, but we still slept well.

We liked how the lodges were away from each other alot of privacy. Enjoyed looking out to the trees and nature
We enjoyed it all

perfect location, excellent facilities, amazing communication from owner, spacious and modern and beds extremely comfortable

Nice, cosy cottage in a lovely, remote location. The log burner came in very handy. Well equipped kitchen.
Similar to other reviews. The bathroom had terrible flooding issues. Made it quite dangerous stepping out of the bath. The shower screen doesn’t seem to hold anything in so maybe something to look at. Also maybe supply bath mats to help with the issue as we had to use our towels and then squeeze them out several times because is the amount of water. While doing this we collected hair that want ours which made me think it hasn’t really been vacuumed and mopped properly.

We arrived late and lodge was lovely and warm when we arrived. Beds were comfy.
We didn’t know till we were actually there that we had to take towels! Would have been useful to know this- had to buy some.
