Relax

Preciosas vistas a los campos de té. Habitación y baño muy limpios. Se respira paz y tranquilidad. Y si tengo que destacar algo por encima de todo es la hospitalidad y el trato de la familia. Comida exquisita que te sirven en el salón de su casa. Dispuestos a ayudar, a conversar y a orientarte en visitas.

Lo menos bueno es la ubicación. Pero no es un problema ya que ellos te llaman a un tuktuk que te recoge sea a la hora que sea.

The host was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and big and we have mice view pf tea plantation. Food was also amazing! The best srilankan set we had. We highly recommend this place!

Amazing stay at Green Gregory Villa

First of all, this very lovely family are wonderful people! They welcomed us at our arrival, and offered cup of teas. They will make you feel comfortable and that you will spend a good time during your stay. The rooms are clean. The view from it is breathtaking, overlooking tea plantations. Home-cooked rice & curry dinner was, as usual, big and very tasty (they will adjust the spice levels if needed as it is fresh!). Breakfast is also delicious. The exchange with the family was smooth and pleasant, sharing stories. We even had the chance to try on the local (sweet) red wine, offered by the hosts. 😝 I highly recommend staying there, and will certainly be back on our next visit to Nuwara Eliya.

Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, der Ausblick ist fantastisch und auch die gesamte Familie ist nett und unterstützt einen total freundlich bei allen Plänen, die man hat. Das Essen war unheimlich lecker und eine große Portion für kleines Geld. Immer wieder gerne!

So enjoyable, would 100% recommend!

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We arrived in the evening and needed to go and find dinner. The hosts offered to cook dinner which was delicious. We also had breakfast there.

We loved our stay here. The location is lovely and quiet, the view over the tea plantations is beautiful and the room is lovely and big with a shared kitchen so you can always make your own cup of tea. The family hosting us were very welcoming and extremely helpful. They helped us arrange the train to and from Ella, parking, laundry, and served a delicious breakfast each morning. On the last day we got a takeaway breakfast to go to Hortons Plains and they packaged it without plastic, as that is not allowed in the park. Definitely recommended.

Lovely place with a nice view in Nuwara Eliya. Host are superb!

Perfect location, 5/10 minutes walk to the lake with a fabulous view of the valley. Clean and excellent value for money (hot water and warm room) The family running the place is lovely, helpful, and they cook abundant and delicious meals. Definitely recommended!

Lovely host, he helped us with everything we needed from the exeptional meals (also fulfilling all our strange no spicy no garlic and vegetarian requirements!!), to tuk tuk calling to go around and public bus taking to kataragama!

It was a little bit noisy. Room is next to a kitchen witch is shared with another room. We could hear the people from the other room in the kitchen.

The owner and his family are super nice people! Always with a smile and keen to help with whatever you need. We didn't book breakfast, but when we woke up he showed up with a plate of organic fruit from his garden! And the view from the hotel is sooo beautiful!

You might need your own transport if you want to stay here, or accept to walk 35 minutes to the city center

One of the Best budget friendly stays in Nuwara Eliya.

I've been to Nuwara Eliya 4 times & this place was the best one out of them. Location was situated in a very clam & safe place, no interrupting noises, people or anything. Room owners were very friendly & helpful. They showed us a beautiful & 5-8 min long shortcut to the Gregory Lake where you can go by foot. Room was clean, bathroom was also super clean & dry. Well maintained. Hot water worked. Room was so cold but, there was a large blanket & you should experience the coldness in Nuwara Eliya. You can make your own tea or coffee. Electric kettle, sugar & tea packets were available.

Warm hospitality in chilly Nuwara Eliya

The hosts were so nice to us. We got tea on arrival which was much needed as it was colder than we expected in Nuwara Eliya. We were also given many recommendations for activities the next day. I commented on his orange tree on the way out and he gave us about 4 to take with us. We only stayed for one night but I’d highly recommend this place.

Good place. Location close to gregory lake walking 10 minutes . From town little far 4 km. Tuk ride Rs 600/=. They let us to checkin 11 am & offered wonderful tea complementary. Nice view. That blanket 😍

Perfect stay in Nuwara Eliya.

This family is unbelievably kind!! I’m very grateful that I choose this place for my stay in Nuwara Eliya. It’s very clean, the food is fantastic and the location is also great, calm & with nice views. I loved to sit at the little terrace. It’s also close to Lake Gregory, maybe a 10 mins walk. From their you can easily catch one of the many buses to the center. If I go to Nuwara Eliya again I will definitely stay there again. 100% recommended!

Great family - great view - Great value.

The family were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The garden and the view are lovely. A short walk down to Lake Gregory or a longer 25 minute stroll downhill into the town. Peaceful and great value for money. Dinner and breakfast both good too. We would come back.

Nothing except the rude Ukranians and Russians who stayed next door and who were ill mannered. One might say- peasantry if being impolite. Four of them sleeping in a two person room and behaving very badly to our harming hostess. Do ignore their bad reviews. They were taking the p$%s!

We loved the warm welcome with tea and cookies, the view from the accomodation at the tea fields is extraordinary. The shortcout into the city is also a highlight itself. At night, they made the best rice and curry for us with so many different options and sides, which was so delicious! And they were refilling everything when it got empty for no extra charge. Luckily, there were also extra blankets because at night it gets very cold.

Hosts were amazing with us, we really felt like home. they cooked for us an amazing meal even tho it is not planned ! Plus, we can see tea fields directly from the room which was an amazing experience.
