Good for a night or 2 if spending the day at Alton towers

It was very close to Alton towers which was good, but at the same time it was very quiet (couldn't hear any noise from Alton towers!).

The venue wasn't very clean, cobwebs hanging from lights and dust on shelves. The beds were creaky, and the base of the shower was kicked in, there were also no bins in bedrooms or bathrooms. Some of the kitchen cupboards had been painted but the paint was peeling away.

Perfect for Alton Towers

Location was perfect for those visiting Alton Towers as the park is a 5 minute walk away. Accommodation was lovely with plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 children. Log burner really adds to the homely atmosphere

Perhaps a Smart TV where guests can watch Netflix if they want.

The accommodation was in a fantastic location a stone throw away from alton towers .

Location for alton towers was amazing just a walk away

Unfortunately the accommodation could of been cleaner does need a few repairs and furnishings was very tiered

Excellent stay here . Wish we had booked for longer. Very cosy and comfortable.

Location was excellent for a busy to Alton towers. Couldn’t get closer even if you used the Alton towers car park. Lovely pubs nearby for lunch too. Lovely treats left for us by the host also!

Lovely cottage, perfect location

Perfect location for visit to Alton Towers, the cottage was a lovely size and had all required essentials. Nice outdoor space and lovely big table for breakfast & evening meals.

the staff was not helping and the address was not clear I wasted 3 hours searching for the location and I phoned the agent which hold me over 13 mints to answer and she was not cooperative

Perfect for alton towers

Excellent location for alton towers, 5 mins walk! Good size for 6 adults and 4 kids, everything you need to cook meals,host left milk and biscuits,nice touch.Better value than a hotel for a group of us and meant we could all sit together on a night

Opened kitchen window whilst cooking and loads of dead insects and spiders in the frame...needs a good clean!

Comfortable, sociable space in a fantastic location for alton towers! Perfect for extended family 😃

Fantastic location, few minutes walk to alton towers which was the main reason for our stay. Plenty of room for us all to sit and eat together comfortably, nice space for the kids to run around on the green area at the back. Open plan living area which was ideal. 3 bathrooms to the 4 rooms which was great. Felt safe and secluded. Decor was fresh, comfortable beds. The host was very friendly and accommodating.

Couple of VERY minor things, just as constructive criticism. Our ensuite bathroom and the bedroom didn’t have a bin. The ensuite floor was a little dusty and had some bits missed during cleaning, but nothing that put us off. The kitchen could do with a couple of larger bowls to serve food for a group. Again, just constructive criticism. The stay was fabulous!!

Perfect GB

Bunbury is fantastic! We had a great stay it has everything you need, lovely house, very clean and lots of room for two families. The location to Alton towers is brilliant, a five min walk to the main entrance. It has a Big garden for the kids to play. Sarah is lovely and very helpful We look forward to our next visit..

Perfect location especially if like us you take teenagers

Absolutely perfect location for alton towers literally couple hundred yds from gate. Lovely property rustic furnished nice little kitchen ideal for family or groups. Patio was lovely and nice grassed communal area. Bedrooms and bathrooms spot on.

property looking a bit tired could do with a deep clean external door and window tired patio area needed a good jet wash velux could do with a blind. kitchen could do with a few more cups and big salad bowl and cafeteria

The whole family came down with Covid 19 3 days before. This was reported to Sykes cottages along with photographic evidence of the tests and email/text messages from the NHS to clarify. I asked for a voucher to use in the future. I did not ask for a refund but nothing was given. I find this dreadful behaviour when there was nothing we could do but break the law to go.

Fantastic self catering with Alton Towers on the door step.

Plenty of room for the kids to have their own rooms - got to the point they hate sharing! It had a lovely log burner and the whole property was really well laid out. We stayed within the Alton Towers resort last year which was really disappointing, this was so much better and only a 5 min walk to the park. No queueing for the mono rail or a long walk to the entrance. We didn't get a chance to explore this time but will definitely be back to do just that.
