What a place! Honest review.

Firstly, I loved my stay at Calypso Boutique. The views were incredible, it was as pictured/advertised, and I will definitely return if I'm in Puerto Rico. The location was insanely peaceful because it's the other side of the cliff and not on the main shopping centre/bar side. It was so quiet, literally silent at times, and one day I even had the pool to myself! The bedroom was clean, comfortable and modern, there's a thermostat on the wall so you can set the room to whatever temperature you like. The kitchen has all the essentials and modern tech, and the bathroom was equally as good. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. She ordered me a taxi the morning of my departure. It was also fairly priced. Thanks.

This is just being extremely picky, but I am a bit of a perfectionist so I thought I'd mention some things. In the apartment it had a few marks on the walls, and there were a few small bugs that I had to spray and dispose of (they provided bug spray so maybe this is a common thing in Puerto Rico). Outside the pool surround could do with a fresh coat of paint, and the flooring around the pool and shower was a little bit tired. It also does have a few steps (around 150) to get there, it's not too bad but if you can't deal with them that day then it's only around 4 euros from the beach and 5 euros from the main centre in a taxi. There are taxis and ranks everywhere, or you could rent a car, there's always space to park outside. Besides those minor 'flaws' I couldn't fault it, and like I said I would definitely return. Thanks again.

Not for us, wasted our money

Absolutely nothing. It wasn't for us after checking the location etc. We didn't see the room so cannot comment on the room at all.

1. No reception 2. No amenities 3. Terrible location 4. Dirty streets, animal mess.

Super apartments in a wonderful location

The apartments are lovely, built less than 7 years ago, with modern basic facilities. The gym area and laundry facilities were a bonus. Great location with lovely restaurants nearby. Helpful staff who were able to respond to our questions very quickly. If not on site, messaging was also very responsive. It's not a major problem, but be prepared to climb up and down a few steps to get to the beach and restaurant areas. Or you can also walk up and down along the road, which is slightly further but more gentle.

Gorge Beaut Few Days Away! Recommend!

Gorgeous rooms! 1st floor 202 Overlooking Pool Pool Area lovely, always got a sun bed. Sun from early morning till about 4.30pm (November) Down about 100 steps to supermarket , beautiful restaurants and 1 Irish bar. Taxis cheap. Lovely stay , will come again!

I wouldn't recommend, have been there, for the same price same location, none of these issues.

The host was responsive trying to sort out the issues faced, and the beds were confortable.

The property had bugs infestations, and I was bitten by fleas leading to lose of at least 3 days of holidays, a GP appointment, and medication. There's no one in the property to assist the guests in case of something happens. The reception, gyn and laundry, are completely infested with cockroaches so as the rooms balconies. Balconies doors lock themselves from the outside, and if you're not careful you get locked on the balcony, there's no warnings, instructions or keys from the outside that allows you to open the doors so safety is not the best. Also, hand rails of at least one staircase was damaged. Although I love animals and cats in particular, the property is constantly invaded by stray cats from nearby colonies, and leave ticks and fleas around, so even the pool area is not too clean.

Big apartament, Outstanding great view, perfect sun terrace. Very confortabile bed, very good pool, large kitchen. Tom Clancy books in living room!

Outdated small LCD TV. Diluted, watered-down, American-style, non-espresso coffee machine. Narrow bathroom.

Very happy with our stay and would come again

Our apartment was perfect and generally had everything we needed. Pool was a good size and great if you just want a chilled day poolside with sunbeds. It’s a little walk to shops and restaurants and a bit further into main town. We preferred it this way as it’s quiet and tranquil away from touristy noise.

The shower water pressure has a circuit of hot, warm and cold (only sometimes cold) but didn’t bother us too much

Do not recommend to anyone to book garden studio 206 or generally this small resort - so pleased to continue our vacatio

garden studio nbr. 206 was like a Dark cave - bad smell -bad air- very dirty outside the studio. no hot water except for one day at around 4 pm. ice-cold pool measure 3 times during our stay awg. 17 degrees. Worst thing was the neighbor building. A junkies nest with noise and shouting People’and junkies siting fixing etc. incl. junkies and dealers tráfic at all time of the day - very very insecure an unpleasant

Very good

Great location, not far from everything. A selection of nearby restaurants. Clean , comfortable , well equipped apartments. Gave us late checkout for a charge even though no one on site most of the time there were quick to respond.

Through no fault of theirs, a lot of steps. Maybe a little too much for my 70 year old fit mother. Otherwise fab location.

The Apartments were very quiet and peaceful and the small pool area was nice and no fighting for sunbeds..also the apartment was very modern

The location was high up so walking back up to the Apartment wasn't nice..The bed was very hard so we never slept great and this would be the only reason we wouldn't return..Also the toilet was in a very small room on its own with no ventilation or window.

Overall, was a great experience.

The view was amazing, the apartment Washington very clean, I had everything I needed.

The location is great as for the landscape and view, but the only thing that made me change my mind during the last few days was the fight that’s been placed at the block right next to us between those residents. As a solo female traveler I’ve found it alarming. Not to mention that I’ve slept more than 6 nights with a broken window (opened) and found some fingerprints on it.

Nice stay

Nice apartment. Has everything you would need. Lovely balcony and very clean overall. Nice place if you want to stay in a much quieter location. Nice for a couple. We stayed on top floor in corner room with beautiful view.

The pool is quite small and the apartment is located 20 minute walk away from main Puerto Rico area. It’s a very quiet location. It’s also on a hill so but of a tiring walk back.
