Meals were all excellent as were facilities and whole experience.
Would have been nice if I’d been able to see Ian Flemings house.

Absolutely amazing place. I stayed at the Spanish Elm room and loved it. This room as well as the lagoon cottages have kayaks which is great.
8.0 / 10.0
The hotel is small and has a very “exclusive” vibe. It’s perfect to rest and be away from crowds.
the food is not splendid and the prices are very high. You do not have many options around the hotel. So you end up paying a lot for meh food. Lunch would cost 100$ for two and dinner 150$ for two (assuming that you only have like one beer or one cocktail).

The beaches were super and kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkelling were very fun.
Our room was dark and had no view of the beach or any water or sun. Our beach hut not having a view at all and being significantly more hidden away than many of the other beach huts was really disappointing given the extremely expensive price we paid. Our room felt really basic and for the price we paid, the value for money felt genuinely disappointing. I never normally complain and I had to complain here. Many of the staff are lovely, but the pricing just felt way way off.

The resort is beautiful, and clean. The staff are incredibly friendly. The food is delicious and so are the cocktails! We loved the complimentary Yoga with Sasha and the meditation classes. Button beach is stunning. We took boats out every day. The only downside is, we had to leave! But we are already planning our next trip back.
There is nothing we didn't like!

Everything. A wonderful place hidden in a wild garden. Beautiful beaches. Private island. Excellent restaurant. The most luxurious hotel I have visited in Jamaica.
Shower with handle for my girl. She has very long hair and need it for wash.

The property was amazing. It was so large so you can spread out and feel comfortable.
The food on the property and drinks are exceptional expensive.

The location was beautiful and scenic. The rooms were excellent. There were numerous pools and beaches on site. The property has a huge lagoon where my wife and I paddle boarded, kayaked, and saw sea turtles. This was truly an unforgettable destination.
Nothing.

52 acres of beautiful grounds. A wonderful hotel made even more special by the fact that Ian Fleming lived here and wrote all his 14 James Bond novels in one of the hotel's villas.
Beach huts a great option and worth the upgrade to be on cove or lagoon.
Excellent breakfasts.
Special event dinners complemented excellent menu in Bizot restaurant which is by the sea.
Very friendly staff throughout the resort.
Beautiful beaches within hotel grounds serviced by cocktail bar and beach restaurant for lunch
Inclusive kayak, paddleboard, snorkelling and tennis.
Easy to book taxi transfers and day trips etc through reception.
Dinner options will increase when refurbishment of the second restaurant is completed.
Need taxi to access anywhere off-site e.g. local restaurants etc.

The lunch at Button beach (in a shack run by the hotel) was excellent.
The staff everywhere, including in landscaping, and their attention to details were outstanding! They really worked from the heart and effortlessly on back-to-back shifts to make every guest’s experience a fabulous one.
We loved the design of the accommodations. The landscaping was brilliantly done, a little bit of tropical garden plants with the grandeur of nature.
It had the right amount of Bond and Flemming, ever-present but not over the top.
Lastly, we loved our fellow travelers. Great conversations with lovely families.
To be honest, the breakfast and dinner could have been a little more authentic Jamaican. We went all the way to Jamaica to get a real Jamaican experience that includes the food, music and beverage. It does not need to be watered down and made “touristy“. We had to request the kitchen to create our own breakfast based on previous Jamaican experience to keep it real. The same for the music – my husband and I often went to the DJ station to play the current Jamaican music.
The main beach was cordoned off with stones, which kills the tide and gives rise to slime.

The Goldeneye estate is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. Remote and private, apart from meals you feel like you are the only person there. We loved our daily kayak through the crystal clear lagoon. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Unfortunately everything else is 3 stars. Staff, whilst friendly, lack training. As other reviews have noted, food was disappointing, you are paying London fine dining prices for home comfort style food. Hotel transfer is also double the market rate. NB: During covid there are limited dining options and the glass bottom boat excursion is unavailable.

It’s not what we expected it’s changed from when we came before
No hot water, no bread at the table
Nothing in our mini bar, staff is wonderful
