The home was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The view was beautiful and serene. We were grateful for the BBQ and nice beach chairs.
It needs a dishwasher. Who wants to wash dishes by hand on vacation? It also needs an ice maker. Ice cube trays were broken and who wants to refill ice cube trays and wait hours for more ice? This beach wasn’t swimmable, which of course can’t be changed. But it should state on the website that beach is too rocky for swimming. Property management should provide more shampoo and body wash. Bars of Dove soaps and bottles of shampoo were too tiny for 5 people for 3 nights.

The view was fantastic, sunrise and moonrise every day! We loved just sitting out on the deck and listening to the seals bicker, the birds poke around in the tidal pools for treats, and the lapping waves. The cottage was super cute and cozy. Would stay there again.
These are all minor things that, if fixed, would make this place absolutely fantastic. The largest bed in the biggest bedroom was about a foot off the floor and the frame did not fit the mattress so you constantly felt like you were falling out of bed (and we did when we first sat on the end) and the pillows kept falling behind the bed. There are no bed side lights in the main bedroom, so you have to get up out of bed to turn the light on and off. The upstairs toilet leaned to the left and rocked so you felt like you were going to fall off all the time. We were instructed to put our dishes in the dishwasher and were provided with dishwasher tabs, but there was no dishwasher. The only shower is a very very small stall that was extremely hard to properly bathe in, even for the children. This is an easy solve with a removeable shower head with a hose. There is no path or steps to get down to the beach from the house, just a big pile of boulders. The deck is so narrow it is difficult to walk past people who are sitting and the deck chairs dripped rusty water every time they were moved making a mess. The additional fees should just be included in the cost of the rental. I feel this should be the case for all rentals. It's very frustrating to think you are renting a place for one price and then see $900 in extra fees for a three day stay. And I have to say it is rude to charge a $300 cleaning fee and then ask people to start a load of laundry and dishes.
