Such a lovely secluded area great people, a true rural retret.
Shower a bit small

It was a beautiful location in the country

The view
Shower door would not stay shut so the bathroom flour got wet.

Great location - accommodating host we were able to go into the cottage early. Very clean plenty of equipment.
There was not anything to dislike
4.6
Very rural location on a working farm, nice to see the horses going past the window, still very quiet although being on a working farm, a few nice pubs and cafes nearby
If I'm being really picky a shelf in the bathroom would of been helpful

An absolute gem. Spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Was just travelling for work so didn't get too much time to utilise this lovely place to it's full potential.
Fantastic setting and very quiet. A quick walk upto May Hill summit was worth the effort.
Will definitely stay again if its available 🙂

Everything was absolutely perfect. The scenes are absolutely breathtaking. The staff and all of the animals were amazing. Thank you so much.
Absolutely nothing.

Perfect for relaxation and sightseeing, situated in a dyllic rural location with beautiful views. A real escape. It's also near enough to travel into local cities and towns.
4.6
The cottage was perfect, very clean and organised. There was plenty to do around the area and the hosts even left some leaflets of local places to visit.
The only thing for us personally was that there was no double bed, it was two singles. Not a major issue as we just pushed the two beds together.

The property looks small from the outside but is very roomy and comfortable. It has been very well thought out - the photos don’t do it justice. The little room off the bathroom is handy for keeping coats and bags out of the way. The kitchen has everything you need for a self catering stay. The views are lovely and May Hill is well worth a visit. Plenty of places nearby to explore and easy to get to. Rachel and Henry are lovely hosts and do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay.
Nothing.

The property was clean and cosy. Everything was provided in terms of cooking utensils, bed linen towels.
The windows were a little draughty. However, there was a heater which was very effective

Great location, an ideal base for exploring the area. It is small but has everthing we needed.
The shower door did not stay shut so we had to wedge something for it to stay shut.

Self catering and the location was great.
Everything was brilliant

The cottage was small but perfectly formed! The owners have three small dogs which were very friendly. Lovely views on your doorstep. Very easy parking and everything all on one level. No steps.
Everything was good - ideal for a two night stop.

Lavender Cottage is set in a beautiful location with stunning views across the valley. We loved the peace and quiet, and the gentle pace of life and being on an equestrian farm. The cottage is very cosy, warm and has everything you need for a relaxing stay.
I can’t think of anything we didn’t like! The hosts were onsite and available to help if we needed anything. We brought a few food items and milk with us, which were needed as we didn’t find anywhere nearby to buy the basics!

The position and facilities were excellent

One of the best places me and the wife have ever stayed at
The hosts, the views, the attention to detail, just absolutely bliss, Margaux and Truffles the small farmyard dogs following us around - honestly this place is heaven
Can’t recommend high enough and will definitely return again
Narrow roads getting in but totally worth it once you arrive

decor, views and peace and quiet.

We didn't stay there in the end as I had Covid.
The fact that they didn't suggest another day or offer of any money back despite not having to change bedsheets or clean.

Really well taken care off cottage with a beautiful view in the evenings as the sun sets. Very friendly hosts, felt welcome on this lovely equestrian farm. Immaculately clean and comfortable tiny house for the night. Couldn’t recommend this more. Go and stay here and enjoy the views and the peace of this part of the country!
Honestly couldn’t think of anything to fault it.

The host were welcoming, warm and friendly. The accomodation was a good base for exploring. It had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts kindly let us visit the horses in the stables and explore the grounds. We never felt like we were imposing. The views were lovely and we enjoyed watching the sunset. It was nice being immersed in countryside and fresh air. We really felt like we got away and relaxed from everyday life.

Wonderful few days will definitely return The views were to die for the location great hosts were very kind and helpful and for the price the property was amazing
None of these afected our enjoyment of the stay .shower door kept opening and although beds were comfortable the duvets were extremely small even for single bed but I must say the linen was beautiful quality

Quaint little cottage set on a hillside, with stunning views. The owners, Rachel and Henry, have made Lavender Cottage a warm, welcoming place to relax. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and shower room. There are many very good pubs and restaurants nearby and a delicious bakery, which is open daily.
Absolutely nothing.
