My husband and I found the Walaker (and the village of Solvorn) to be a really special place. We had perfect weather for swimming at the beach, hiking up Molden for fjord views, and enjoying a glass of champagne in the hotel garden. Staff and food were excellent. The historic room had tons of charm. We only stayed one night but I could see spending a week to enjoy daily hikes, afternoon swims, and relaxing with a good book -- it's such a lovely, restful place!

breakfast and location (little town)
extremely expensive for the quality. The room (104) does not have TV, AC, fridge, coffee, tea or water… it is simple and basic. it does not worth kr 4.125 per night.
No bar in the hotel, they just serve some local beer and cider. we paid 2.800 for 1 beer and 1 cider.

It was a beautiful property. Restaurant was elegant, the staff friendly and we especially loved the sommelier. The room was clean and comfortable.
Not a thing!

You feel special visiting it. Having to meet the true owners of the place and not only seeing how they make the place amazing but actually feeling it in every aspect of the hotel.
would love to have more activities around in the hotel itself

Beautiful place with magic spirit. When you travelling to Norway you definitely must visit this hotel!! Unforgettable experience. Everything was perfect, the buildings, the gallery, the view and also breakfast - eggs benedict - delicious! We had a possibility to listen piano concert performed by the Owner Mr. Walaker - it was like in a dream.

One of the view truly historical and characterfull hotels in Norway. The staff was helpful and friendly, the location is very qiuet and beautiful
The wifi was extremly slow. Room had no bath or minibar and felt stuffy on this warm day (although this being Norway I can kind of understand the last one)
4.7
Spacey room, location, friendly staff, gift on checkout, and outstanding breakfast
Bathroom is slippery and small, no TV, mattress is not supporting (bad sleep), 'confirmed' double bed turned out to be two single bed

The staff is very welcoming and helpful. This is a plush hotel and our stay was most pleasant.
Mr Henrik Ole Nitter Walaker has a good sense of humour and is a very straightforward and efficient host.
All the staff were without flaws.
The bed could have been more comfortable but we did rest and get our sleep at night. The bath tub with lion's feet is mostly kitsch, we were staying in the 17th century very charming building next to the main one and the room was very cosy. But the bath tub was joggling and a bit unbalanced, I hope we did not annoy our neighbours. We should have told the boss about it but in check-out we did not feel like mentionning any kind of weak spot...

Very relaxing in a scenic setting. Staff was exceptional and dinner and breakfast were excellent. Due to a need for an early departure the hotel prepared breakfast for us prior to the normal opening of the breakfast buffet. We were very impressed with their desire to exceed the expectations of their guest.s
