About this house rental
Enjoy amazing mountain views and private lakefront living. Located 15 minutes from the towns of Blue Ridge, Blairsville and Murphy, the home features lakefront privacy, amazing views and tons of room to explore and enjoy. Newly renovated, it just keeps getting better!
Our home is located 100 miles north of Atlanta on the shores of Lake Nottely in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. The lake is 20 miles long with 70% of the 110 miles of shoreline protected National Forest land making it one of the greatest relaxation stations in the Southeast.
Newly renovated - our home features a wide wrap around front porch - perfect for Morning coffee and watching sunsets. There is a double covered dock however, both slips are full. You can always tie up to the dock if need be. We have our own private boat launch and have 2 canoes, 2 kayaks for your use. We also have a wonderful lake front fire pit perfect for evenings around the campfire.
Double Masters on main with private baths walk-in shower and claw foot tub. The main level includes gourmet kitchen (fully equipped), dining room seating area (seats 12) along with a wrap around deck equipped with Adirondack chairs, Charcoal grill, and plenty of seating overlooking the lake. Side deck is perfect for corn hole and the large sweeping lawn is perfect for badminton or wiffle ball.
Downstairs was built for kids - large screen tv, Ceiling fans, wifi, and central heat/air.
Guests have access to most water toys including noodles, tubes, canoe, paddle boards, kayaks, paddles, kids and adult life jackets with full access and use of the dock.
Mountain lakes also provide cooler summer temperatures with average highs of 84 and average lows of 62 during the "heat" of the summer and great crisp weather in the spring and fall for fishing, apple picking, or seeing the beautiful mountain colors. The lake is crystal clear and is a true enjoyment for swimming from April - October! Lake Nottely is part of the Tennessee Valley Authority and is a power generation lake that was built in 1941.
We are less than 2 Hours from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Asheville, and Knoxville, for anyone interested in outdoor mountain adventure. Winter, Summer, Spring, or Fall,

After staying last year, our family overwhelmingly said they wanted to go back. The house is beautiful. The access to the lake is perfect! No huge inclines to deal with and convenient to everything. Looking forward to booking for next year!

We had a great time here since our goal was to spend the bulk of our summer days on the boat and in the lake. When we weren’t in the water we were on the deck enjoying the gorgeous views. Our only complaint was that the house wasn’t very clean when we arrived. The owners responded very quickly to all of our questions and offered to send the cleaning crew back to remedy the uncleanliness (but at that point we were in the house and did t want to do that).

I literally can't say enough good things about this property! Perfectly fit our large group. The downstairs area was perfect for the kids and allowed them to have their own space separate from the adults. The beds were super comfortable. Plenty of seating for everyone which is usually an issue for our large group. The kitchen was nicely stocked. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels for everyone. The home is secluded and has perfect access to the water. The view is absolutely amazing! The host was amazing and very responsive. We can't wait to book again!

This was our second time staying here. It is a great setup for our family and kids. We will be returning again next summer. We have absolutely no complaints. If we had one wish it would be for a better grill, like an Egg or pellet grill, but the propane grill does get the job done.

Loved our visit on Nottley Lake! Our family have bounced around different lakes in NC and this year decided to try Nottley. It was beautiful! Loved not having to stress over the driveway and walk down to the water! This home was beautiful on a point, low lying so easy to walk to dock for us all which is exactly what we were hoping for. Only real hiccup was the 5th bedroom or the small by room on main level. It doesn’t have ac and the fan can only do so much so we ended up not using it after the first night and rearranging the group a bit to accommodate. Add an a/c duct and it would be really nice. Otherwise - we would definitely stay here again!

It was perfect for our large family. Has everything you need right on site. Loved the dock, kayaks, fire pit, porch, large rooms and living space, and a spacious kitchen. Our only wish was to have a Traegger or Egg grill. The propane and Webber grill got the job done but a man can dream.

It was all we had hoped for! I would say the house was exactly as pictured but it was actually a little better. The owner was super responsive when we had questions and the check in / check out was so easy. The house was loaded with everything you could need...movie couch for kids, lake toys, room to eat and play games, porch to rock in rocking chairs and fire pit for s’mores. It was one of my best vrbo experiences!! Thank you for everything and we are already planning our next booking!!

We had such a wonderful experience at this lake house....The star of the show is definitely the view as this property sits on a prime piece of land. You have easy access to the water either via a boat launch, beach-like area (perfect for getting on the kayaks and paddle board) or from the dock. The view is unobstructed with only only trees and mountains in the distance. We couldn't believe how few boats we saw with it being the week before the July 4th holiday. Another highlight was the fire pit with plenty of chopped wood to use. We would enjoy these every evening at sunset!
There was plenty of room in the interior with two master bedrooms and a basement with two bunk rooms. Perfect for our middle-school aged kids to get away from the adults! Overall, a great lake home for families. We would definitely rent this place again.

This house is all about family! There is a lot for everyone to do: Kayaks, canoes, a basketball hoop, a ping pong table, board games...
We had 3 families together yet it didn't feel crowded. The bunk bed rooms were clutch. The kitchen comes fully stocked (salt, spices, oils, kitchen bags....) and we ended up leaving items behind for the next family.
Check-in process was super easy. The kids loved the basement room. And the views of the lake were absolutely stunning. It's the perfect lakeside getaway!

Great Lake House!
We had a fun long weekend here. The view is amazing. We enjoyed hanging out at the fire pit. They have outdoor games, the bathrooms are all remodeled; this would be a great house in warm or cold weather. We’ll definitely be back.

Great Lake House
We really enjoyed the beautiful lake house. Overall, a great property that feels private with great access to the lake. The house has been updated and they did a nice job with renovations. A few minor issues. The charcoal grill grate needs to be replaced. The bigger issue was inability to use the kayaks since there were holes in the bottom. It was disappointing as that is one of our favorite activities. Otherwise, great stay. The owner is responsive and communicates quickly.

Lovely View
The property was wonderful. The second you walk in the door you see the view of Lake Nottely. It was just gorgeous. The cabin was well equipped . Multiple lake toys with canoes, kayaks, and paddle board. We had teenagers traveling with us but all were entertained and had plenty of room for privacy. The owners were great with communication and answering any questions we had. We would definitely stay again. Great for large or multiple families.

Lovely home directly on the lake. Easy entry for all to swim, kayak, paddle board. This was the best equipped kitchen! Found everything we needed for meals in. Dana was very easy to communicate with. Thanks for sharing your lakehouse with us!!

Great lake home
Wonderful place for 3 couples to escape the pandemic worries for a few days. Home is better than the pictures, it's clear that the owners are continuing to improve it. Loved the well-stocked open kitchen, it was a perfect gathering place. Highly recommend, we'll be back.

Mountain Christmas!
This cabin is just like the pictures but even better. It is great for larger families and we have 6 of us and brought the grandparents along as well. It was very spacious and has the perfect view & lot on the lake were we got to enjoy the fire pit and good family time. We also got lucky and had overall mild weather so we were able to enjoy kayaking. Location is perfect and Blue Ridge right around the corner and day trips to many areas. We enjoyed Helen and the Christmas lights and even did some hiking. Check-in was easy and Dana is a great host and is quick to respond. Cabin could use some additional lighting in rooms and especially in the dining area. Guest room TV's didn't work and it could use some cobweb cleanup downstairs. We also had a septic issue when we first got there but Dana was on it and had it taken care of within 24hrs. so we could enjoy ourselves. Even with these minor things I would highly suggest staying here and we will be back again. We had a great Christmas family vacation...Thank you!

Hidden Gem
Wow, this home was an absolute wonderful surprise and just what we needed. It truly was one of the most beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and picturesque locations. For starters the home was positioned perfectly on an extremely private lot with an amazing amount of water frontage for all the kids to spread out. Our kids ranged from 9 years to 19 years and I was amazed they never got bored as they were able to connect with nature. From fishing, to well stocked games inside, to swimming in the lake, or roasting smores at night time by the campfire on the lake. My favorite part of the home was the wrap around deck with rocking chairs where you could take it all in. Parents this deck was perfect for watching the kids in the yard below. We were looking for a large enough home for all of us, as well as a space that was open and could allow us all to be together at the same time. And this place nailed it with the open kitchen, huge dining room table, comfortable living room which all flowed onto the huge deck with the most beautiful views. Sleeping arrangements were great with bedrooms both upstairs and downstairs. Especially nice with 2 of the bedrooms downstairs and separate living room, tv, and play space for the kids to have their own hang out area when they needed it. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could think of and the beds were super comfy as well. Outside the yard was great on the lake front as it leveled out enough to be able to play games in yard, nap in the hammock, or just float on a raft in the lake as the day goes by.
For those of you who have never been to Lake Nottely before it is perfect for kids as the boat traffic was very limited. We even stayed in prime part of summer and if we saw more than 15 boats a day that would be a lot. So when the kids went out in the kayaks, canoes, and paddleboard to explore - fish - play we felt safe (As well as lot faces the lake so you can easily see from shore and the porch the kids on the water). Thank you again Dana for allowing us to use all the water toys as this kept the kids so busy on the water and really was a Huge Bonus!!!
Dana was an amazing host!!! Prior to booking answering questions, suggestions, and the super fast response time put us at ease knowing we were dealing with a great owner. even while at property Dana was there for us with extremely fast communication.
Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home and allowing us a perfect stay!
