Location is pretty good and quite. 15mins walk from Frenchmen Street. The neighborhood was quite and the neighbors are very friendly. The apartment I was in has an industrial feeling and has everything you need.
The Kitchen is lovely and big, the bed was comfy.
The floor is very outdated, I had to watch my steps because boards pop out. I think it's the original flooring.
I wish there were more handtowels.
The whole house needs a little bit more love and then it would look amazing. The backyard too, some furniture would be great, and they should remove the old bathtub and other junk out of it.
The way to the apartments on the top is from the backyard through a very narrow passage. The bricks on the ground are very uneven, stairs are very outdated and it's tricky to walk on them. So if you drink one more "Hurricane" than you should, you have to be very careful.
I wish they had a lock on the gate, I would feel a lot safer as a female solo traveler. (Nothing bad happened tho)

Great location very quite neighborhood walking distance to bourbon street and French quarters!

It's a pretty remodel of and traditional NOLA suite upper floor
I rented the NOLA electric Bluebikes at the Starbucks down the street and have a fun ride in the bike lanes to the French Quarter.
Might be a better place for a couple. The neighborhood is very dark and quiet. You access the apt down a dark alley to go behind the house, and up the metal stairs. I didn't feel very comfortable coming back alone as a single woman at 11p at night, but the neighborhood was quiet and cute in the daylight.

Nice walk in the daytime to downtown. Take a cab at night.
Host did not send the property key information until the middle of the day I travelled to NOLA, i.e., when I was not able to access it without internet. This meant that I was potentially stranded in the dark outside the house when I arrived, and it took a long time for the host to explain what to do over the phone. At the time of my stay, there were no hangers in the closet, no hooks for hanging clothes, no washer as advertised, and no hot water for showering. The only warm water in the place came from the cold water tap in the bathroom sink. I hope this property improves.

Good location, and helpful host. Friendly neighborhood, and the apartment had a nice feel to it.
There could have been a little more cooking facilities, and the apartment next door was quite loud during the night - replacing the adjoining door with a thicker wall could help with this.

The house was clean, warm, and safe. The caretaker was available as needed and helpful. The bed was comfy.
There was a really good grocery store within walking distance.
I think just a few more amenities could be provided. Just little frills. A reading light in the bedroom area. A toilet paper holder in the bathroom....
4.2
Just blocks from the Frenchman, comfortable bed, updated bathroom, and great communication with the host
The were no real curtains (paper curtains were hung on windows) there were holes in some of the walls, and at times the neighbors could be a bit noisy
