Nice little flat and location but our experience was not positive and we will not come back

Great location

We didn’t have enough hot water to shower for the entire weekend. And when we reached out to the property manager/ owner to ask about this issue, we received a very dry apology and no solution was provided. Basically, we had to suck it up and take the downfall for the unknown ‘technical problem’. We would have appreciated that the owner had told us before our arrival that there were no conditions for us to stay in the house, and we would have appreciated if we had been given the chance to cancel our booking and receive our money back. There were other places available that could have provided us a comfortable stay.

I’d recommend Recantus for anyone looking for a great self catering apartment in Comporta.

Our Recantus Comporta apartment was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for a short stay. It was in the perfect location making exploring Comporta and neighboring areas easy. A welcome bottle of delicious local wine was greatly appreciated and we enjoyed it at our outdoor dining table on our private patio.

Superb

We had a ground floor apartment. It was comfortable, with everything you can reasonably need, including a nice table outside (but under a roof). The location is very good - there is nothing much closer to the beach and the walk across the rice fields and then the pine grove is an attraction in itself.

The contact with the staff is limited. I tried to get their help with ordering a taxi, but without much success (probably because of the language barrier)

Perfection! I wish I lived there!

It was absolutely perfect in every way. I loved the location and the quality of the accommodation. we were so happy to be so close to the centre of the action. seconds from the bars and restaurants and only about 15 minutes walk to the beach. This is such a great property. Double the price would still be good value!

Modern, spacious apartment in a quiet location not too far away from the endless beaches of Comporta

Recantus Comporta consists of 4 separate apartments, of 2 are located on the ground floor and the other 2 on the 1st floor of a huge newly built house. - Everything is very modern and spacious. I stayed in one of the upper apartments which were facing the street. - It had 2 (!) huge terraces overlooking the surrounding village which I really enjoyed a lot! (Especially the bed-like outdoor furniture) Comporta is a very small village and so you can really enjoy the quiet nights there. - The apartment itself is laid out on two floors with a little stairway leading from the living room up to the bedroom which is directly under the roof. - Everything is arranged well and you can really feel the effort the owner put into the place! - Lovely Comporta Beach is about 15 min away by foot on a well-built path(way) leading by the rice fields and it is given nearly every time that you can see storks on your way there.

There was some minor issue which I mentioned to Teresa - the owner - and I'm sure it will not happen again as the forthcoming owner did her utmost to take care of it!

Fabulous stay

Great central location in the village (still a good drive to nearest amazing beach). Lovely terrace, mezzanine bedroom, air con, comp bottle of wine. Couldn’t fault it - luckily we were out every day so weren’t bothered by the building work opposite. Would def stay again.

We are British so would have liked a kettle! But nothing not to like really…

Simply the best place to stay in Comporta

Fantastic house, simple but beautiful decoration. Near Comporta beach and located in the centre of the village. Upon arrival we had a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us. Fantastic shower room with lots of space and confy bed. Absolutely loved it. 10 out of 10.
