About this house rental

Hello, welcome to Mandalay by the Sea! This raised beach home is perfect vacation rental for you and your friends and family.

The home’s rear gate gives is a quick walk to the towns’s beach access. This beach house is just steps to the family friendly, pristine beaches of Surfside on the Atlantic Ocean. It has covered porches on both the first, and second floors. On the ground floor, an outdoor table is covered from the sun.

Ground Floor
The ground floor has a new (2018) professionally maintained private, in-ground pool. The pool can be optionally heated, around mid March through mid November, for an additional fee of $50.00 a night. It also features lounge chairs, and two dining tables. A Weber propane grill is provided for your use. There is a private outdoor shower to remove all that beach sand 😀 At the home, there is private off street parking for five cars.

Main Level
The first floor consists of a well- equipped kitchen, and living room with comfortable seating. One of the sofas converts to a bed. There is a wide screen TV, and a wet bar with a wine cooler. There is a half bath next to the built in entertainment center. Further on the first floor, there is a washer and dryer behind privacy doors. There is one bedroom, with a private full bath, and queen bed. The first floor also consists of the covered deck, with partial ocean views.

Second Floor
The master bedroom is on the second floor. You will find a king bed, with a private covered balcony, with partial ocean views. A master bath awaits you, with a stand alone shower, and a separate jetted tub. As you walk to the other bedrooms, you will pass a desk, just in case one needs to sit and make dinner reservations. There is another bedroom with a queen bed, and private full bath. As you walk to the front of the home, you will pass a bedroom with one twin bed, and a set of bunk beds. This bedroom shares a jack and jill bathroom with another bedroom, that features a full bed.

Manadaly by the Sea is conviently located near the attractions of Myrtle Beach, but offers the family friendly location of Surfside Beach. Walk to the beach, pier, farmers market, and Sunday serenades at the park.

Freshly laundered linens and bath towels will be provided, and the home will be cleaned by a professional couple. I have a long term relationship with them. You will be dealing with the owner directly, and we will ensure that your stay is enjoyable. You will not be treated as just a number, but as a guests.

The home does have two exterior ring cameras, that do not record when guests are present A blue tape will also cover the cameras, to ensure your privacy. The motion detection only light in the driveway is on, and it can be shut down if you request. I can put the motion light on in the pool, but it seems annoying. There are no other types of recording devices in, or out of the home.

Mandalay Bay is a wonderful place to stay in Surfside Beach. The house is clean with 5 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. A dining table for 8 and a large bar area with 6 stools, so plenty of eating space. The pool is kept very nice and clean. The outside area is very relaxing. We had a shrimp boil on the outside table and that worked well. The location is very close to the beach access and walkable to restaurants and the Surfside Pier. Owners are responsive should you need anything. They responded to my request very quickly. Overall, a nice place to stay if your destination is Surfside Beach.

We stayed at this beach house and it was very clean, kitchen was well supplied and it is very close to the beach. Pool was awesome. Owner is highly attentive to anything you need. Definitely recommend this rental.

We have a big family with conflicting schedules and we finally found a week we could all enjoy a vacation. This was the perfect home to accommodate all of us including our fur babies! The pool was great and the short walk to the beach was great! The house is stocked with anything and everything! Thank you Cheryl!

Cheryl’s place is the perfect home base in surfside. One block to the beach and short walk to all the restaurants/attractions by surfside pier. Cheryl communicated great and reached out Saturday to let us know the place was ready in case we wanted to check-in early. The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the large living room area that was perfect for dinner time and games after. Will definitely stay here again if we have the chance. Thanks again! Doug

The house was nice. But the ice maker in refrigerator didn’t work all the time. We couldn’t find a can opener. The beach equipment, the umbrella, the latch at the top is worn out. The grill was dirty, the grill racks need replaced. But we made do an all our kids and grandkids love the house an said it was great.

We were lucky to have perfect weather so every day was so much fun! We started every day with the beach then finished at the private pool. Also walking down the beach to get ice cream was a real hit with our grands! We were took a short walk to dinner at the Chimichanga Llama one night and we found the outdoor seating and live music to make for a really enjoyable night!!

Family of five LOVED the luxurious home. The house is fabulous, spacious and yet cozy. The porches are perfect for coffee or for people watching. The pool was beautiful and my three teenagers loved it. What also made the house amazing was that it was steps to the beach. Wished we could have stayed longer . Honestly, fell in love with it and would definitely come back. Cheryl and her husband were so kind and accommodating. Perfect!

We rented this home so my adult children and their children could attend our wedding in Socastee. It's convenientthe beach and restaurants. They had a great time. My daughter didn't want to leave and my son said he wished they could have stayed longer. So..we may have repeat visitors. Communications with the owner was great.

We had a wonderful 1 week family vacation with 4 generations (1yr - 87yrs). This property was the perfect location and set up-for the family. Very close to the beach, not overly busy or commercial. Just the right balance. We arrived and were greeted with a very nice tray of bagels and fruit. A perfect treat after a long drive. The house was immaculate, and we had plenty of room for the whole family. Great Grandma and Grandpa had a nice suite w/ bath on the main floor. My wife and I stayed in the master suite on the second level. Our son and daughter-in-law with 2 small children had 3 bedrooms w/ 2 full baths for their stay. Kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of room. Everyone enjoyed the pool that was clean and well maintained. We had it heated, and entire pool area was a great set up. Communication with our host Cheryl was exceptional, she responded almost immediately with any questions we had. This was one of our best vacations yet, and will look into coming back again. More amazing than i expected. All appliances a kitchen needs, spacious living areas, clean pool and a short hop to the beach, also clean and pristine. Neat little park with arts and crafts on Tue and Thurs, maybe 2 blocks from the house. Loved walking the dog, great neighborhood. Can't say enough...we will be back! Hosts were amazing!

We love Surfside Beach and this house is a perfect location. The house had lots of space and bathrooms and a pool that is just perfect! The kitchen is stocked pretty well also.
