Amazing view and nature all around!
There was too much noise during the day (the staff was working) and during the night( you could here everything from people setting on the balconies)

Beautiful property and surroundings
The hotel should offer much more selection of food/snacks for sale, since they don’t want you to take any other food in the premises.

Most amazing and relaxing location.
A lot of stairs to access rooms and office/restaurant area. Would be great to have an option on booking to choose a low level room with less stairs

The facilities and the view is amazing. Really recommend taking a hot tub to enjoy the spectacular view. Breakfast was really good and dinner was okey. The rooms were small, but clean and comfortable.
We had a bad experience during check out that we think the straff handled badly. We had prepaid the rooms, but the fee for the rooms were still on the bill. It took a while to sort that out. When that part had been removed, there where still a tip of 10 percent added to the bill on the hotel fee and the food combined. They removed part of it, but it still felt like a bad experience.
Furthermore We found a bit of plastic in one of our meals. We complained about it and the fee for that meal was removed from the bill.
Given the quit high prices we do believe that a better customer service is to be expected. That being said, it is a truly beautiful and uniquly situated place.

The views are great and its easy to get dropped off and picked up by the public boats.
The picture of the room we reserved was very different from the room we received. We were place in a room above the kitchen and restaurant which was very noisy with doors slamming until they closed at 10pm. It was a totally bad experience but I wouldn't stay there again. The service for our dinner was bad. We had to ask several times for things, and waited over an hour for an appetizer and drinks, we asked for a menu several times and finally had to go find two waiters and say please bring us a menu we are hungry and would like to eat. They ended up comping a beer for the inconvenience. But again, overall not a great experience for us.

the restaurant could be a little better for what it is

The moment you arrive, you know you have landed in paradise. The whole place has been built in a perfect location, lush vegetation, pristine water, so many hidden corners to rest, chill, meet people, hammocks, long chairs, and of course the restaurant and its delicious food, where I could wonderful enjoy gluten free meals...Everyone is extremely friendly and professional. And of course the room, so well decorated, with it's own terrasse with a sunrise view. Swimming is made fun and easy. And I will have to come back to try the warm pool, as well as trying to spend time in each hammock...even though my bathroom was a shared one, the place is so well kept and clean that it felt like my own.
it is addictive ; )

beautiful plants and flowers and everything was perfectly maintained.
A bit dark - could use some more lights

Stunning views, lovely rooms. Great food. Lots of stairs. If you have trouble getting around this is not for you.
I had two diff stays. The room with a shared bathroom was inconvenient. The room with a bathroom was better.

you are a little stuck and depend on the restaurant for all your meals , food was ok and staff very helpful but nothing amazing.

This was a magical stay. It exceeds expectations, especially for that price per night. The food and beverages on site are exceptional. We were originally worried that we would be stuck here, either bored or with limited options for food and services. We could've easily spent our entire stay at the hotel and taken full advantage of our time there. It was outstanding!
It may not be a place accessible for everyone, as there are many steep steps.

magical place! great views, great restaurant with lovely food options and amazing cocktails/bar
The stairs and how dark unlit and dangerous it felt at night (albeit I later realized the yellow odd-looking thing that was on desk in my room was a flashlight they provided for each hotel guest)—wish I knew that when I was a female all alone in the dark on the lowest level at the hot tub (kinda freaked out trying to make my way back up with only 1% battery left on my cell phone for flashlight use)! Also, if you are going to charge 300Q for the private hot tub, it should be more well serviced in terms of having some staff come check up on you frequently, service your bar orders and bring to you rather than make you come up/down yourself, and to ensure the temperature is hot enough, etc. That said, the star-studded skies and utter privacy of the experience was special and made up for these minor issues.
I stayed at another incredible place on Lake Atitlan that also had huge steep stairs to climb but at least they had auto-sensored lights that would turn on when you reached them. Casa Del Mundo should absolutely be looking into investing into something similar because it’s unacceptable to require guests to know/anticipate and take flashlight with them when on the hotel grounds. Total safety issue - especially as I have read in other reviews that hotel guests had to navigate the stairs in the dark to get to the shared bathrooms!!! (not a problem I encountered because I booked a room w/private bathroom for that very reason/fear!)

Excellent location to visit the villages around the lake and amazing view and gardens
Small suite of less than 20m2 for 4
Service is slow and no diner after 8pm

The ambiance is what I like most. It’s like a step back in time. Fresh air, quiet, and the food is good. The staff are extra friendly and very helpful. I like that the hotel is on the mountain. Climbing up an down its stairs are an exercise in itself. I like that we can hike to the nearby small towns without taking a boat. Also the facility is eco friendly.
The rooms are quite small.

the best place to get away from the city noise and relax from your everyday work life.
just not being able to have food pass 8 o’clock. a snack bar there would be good

views are even better than on the pictures.
very friendly staff and beautiful place with many hangout places at the water
payment with credit card ‘not possible’ which is ridiculous because they can charge your credit card via booking. Paypal payment is possible but the hotel converts quetzal to USD with crazy unfavourabe exchange rates. This is very expensive and unfriendly to customers because cash is hard to get in the villages

Amazing place. If you have the chance book it asap!
Nothing.

Very picturesque and the room was comfortable. Staff friendly and food was very tasty.
Found too many bugs and 1 cockroach in my room. Walls really thin and could hear every step of someone walking above me/noises from other rooms.
