The location
Very cosy
Needs some refreshments

The oriental design, and the good security system. The main door is locked and you have to tag in using the access card.
The sound proof is bad, you can hear the vehicles vrooming in the middle of the night. And the curtains are so thin that they are see-through from the outside and the inside.
3.5
The concept of the Hotel, you have to remove your shoes before entering the room.
Room was decent and spacious
You have to remove your shoes at the front (was scared if someone would steal my shoes).
Only stairs to the room (1 floor), stairs were steep might be a problem if you are very talll
2.5
The room was very clean and the location was within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and fort.
The walls were very thin, so we could hear every conversation and step that the other guests took. There is a call to prayer between 4-5 every morning. Earplugs are definitely recommended if you don't want to be disturbed by all of the noise.

The ambient is exquisite love it sooo much

The most comfortable place to stay, with warm welcome by the staff, i mean the kakak'z. They were so helpful and cheerful.
There's nothing I didn't like.

A lovely Heritage House converted into a hotel. We were in the original building in a Superior Room with sliding door, which had a small outdoor sitting area. The location was close to everything. Lots of choices within walking distance for breakfast or dinner. The staff were wonderful and friendly. They went out of their way to help us when we had a problem with our credit card company, and were having difficulty contacting them. Thanks to the staff, our problem was quickly resolved. The lady who runs the place was great. We would stay there again.
No fridge in the room

I thought the property was beautiful and very comfortable. The location felt very safe and the staff were so helpful and kind! I really enjoyed my stay.
I had a little trouble getting my AC to work, but overall I have no complaints.

Wonderful place in the perfect location

It had cute decor and location was right in the tourist area with lots of food options and street art in walking distance.
Our room was on the ground floor and the windows were right on the street. It was very loud at night and we could hear everything happening outside. The curtains were thin and any light from outside shone into the room. There were a few mosquitoes in the room.

great location, excellent staff
some might not like early morning call to prayer, but I didn't mind.

Second time saying here. Very happy. It's clean (even the light shades are dusted), it has a nice common area, it's in a very central location, the staff are lovely. Water and wi-fi provided.
Last time there was a cat. No cat this time. Also, the drains in the bathrooms need some attention. I know this is 'Penang' and not the hotel, but maybe some scent / a drain cover...
4.5
Perfect location to explore the historic areas of Georgetown. Only steps from Armenian Street and a few minutes walk to the Clan Jetties. The hotel has a spa feel and the staff were wonderful.
The only drawback for some people would be the close proximity to a Mosque so calls to prayer before sunrise and after dark added to the cultural atmosphere but might disturb some people.

The location was perfect as a base from which to explore the old town. Lots of restaurants and shops near by and just a short walk to Love Lane.
Our room was in the annex and we seemed to have been forgotten about. We had to ask for our tea and coffee to be replenished and whilst the receptionist seemed surprised that housekeeping hadn’t been to our room they didn’t come the next day (our last) either!

Nice deco.
The place is very noisy with the muezzin and chinese new year célébration.
The tv didn't work.
4.0
Unlimited supply of water, tea and coffee. Nicely decorated rooms. Walking distance to many places to eat and see.
Mosque nearby was very loud. Wifi in annexe was awful - only half hearted attempt to fix. Wifi was exellent in the main building but inconvenient as we had a room in the annexe. Restaurant in annexe was sometimes noisy late into the evening (probably not a problem in main building).

Everything was good - some people might feel disturbed by the call to prayer of the muezzin, but we had a sound sleep there. I liked the cute interior furnishing :) Staff was super friendly!
