Perfectly located B&B with outstanding hosting

The location is incredible, very close to the Plitvice Park but tucked away into a quiet village. The rooms are well thought out and quiet, with amazing views on the mountains. The true highlight, however, is the couple who owns the B&B. Their hospitality made us feel very welcomed, and would definitely be a reason to come back. Dinner is prepared by them on-site, with a different menu every day, and although on the pricier side, the products were very fresh, the service felt personal, and the dishes were outright delicious. Communication went fluidly before and during the stay. The B&B alone makes a visit to Plitvice even more appealing in a Croatia itinerary.

Not an issue, but something to keep in mind: the property is cash-only, which can be a minus given the ATM fees in Croatia. This was communicated clearly and well in advance, though.

Amazing host/ place and cuisine! Will come back for sure!

The hosts were amazing. We’ve been traveling a lot but I can say we’ve been rarely treated is such exceptional way. The food made by Irene will blow your mind and the BBQ was the best one we eat from a long time. The rooms are cozy and well equiped. The place was spotless! Damit my friend,thanks for everything!

That we couldn’t stay more :) we had another location planned to visit!

Irene is running the cutest bnb near Plitvice. We felt cared for and welcomed the moment we drove onto the property.

spacious, modern, and clean property that is very close to Plitvice Lakes. Irene personally runs the property. Of all the accommodations in Croatia this felt the most like home with more room and property to enjoy!

We arrived later and we’re unable to enjoy the hot tubs which close at 8p

Fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Villa Irene was wonderful. Irene and Damir were warm, friendly and energetic hosts, full of local knowledge and extremely helpful. The room was a dream. It was warm, clean, quiet and we woke to bird song. The site is in a fantastic location and it’s very easy to get to the lakes from there. Breakfast was delicious and having it delivered to the room was a great touch, and knowing there’s spas on hand is a great option after a long walk.

Amazing place near Plitvice national Parks

The amazing hosts, they contacted us before we checked in to ask if we would like to pre order dinner. They also took care of all the guests throughout the stay. The place is spacious, clean. They have amazing hottubs we could use after a long drive. The entrance to plitvice national parks 1 was 3km, entrance2 was 7km away. Free wifi provided, everything was just perfect.

Wonderfull appartment with all facilities you need, especially the hottubs on a cold day as we had :). Situated in a peacefull area, but very close to the Plitvice park. The hosts made our stay perfect, very open and friendly, and prepared delicious traditional dinner. All in all: amazing stay!

Great stay.

The hosts were very accommodating and always available even when we arrived extremely late. It's a great location, very quiet and near to the Lakes. The room itself is giant with natural light and plenty of space. Air conditioning was nice. There's a nice outdoor area to sit and grass to be active on. It feels very private for what it is.

They should openly state that the hot tub is only available until 8pm. Especially since it's pictured in the evening/sunset time on the listing. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable which didn't match the high quality of everything else in the room.

Quality accommodation, perfect base for visiting the Plitvice Lakes. And very warm hosts!

A large accommodation in a beautiful location with very friendly hosts. Good advice for visiting the Plitvice lakes. Good breakfast, and good dinner if you choose. Cosy veranda.

I can't say enough positive things about our stay at this beautiful property near Plitvice Lakes NP. The Villa is beautiful, huge rooms, lovely outdoor spaces, very close to NP, but so peaceful, Irene is an extremely talented chef and spoiled us with delicious meals and wine, Damir is an amazing host. They treated us like family and we hated to leave.

One of a kind experience!

This place is amazing! The homemade dinner was delicious, and the scenery is gorgeous. Irene and Demir are the nicest people we met in Croatia and their hospitality and helpfulness made my trip so much better. The trunk of a car fell on my face... Irene & Demir attended to me immediately, helped clean up the blood and the open cut. I was about to faint and I don't know what I would have done without them. They went above and beyond in helping me, and I cannot express how grateful I am for their kindness. From the bottom of my heart, thank you both so much. If you are thinking about staying here, you definitely should. You won't get this kind of hospitality any where else! One of a kind experience.

the location is great, only 10 mins drive to Plitvice lakes national park. Irene and Damir were the great hosts! The terrace and room were also comfortable and nice. enjoyed the jacuzzi with the beautiful mountain biew

Irène is very lovely . rooms are very nice and comfortable

husband of the owner was quite rude. breakfast doesn’t worth it for the high price (15€). nothing is home made- everything is processed food jacuzzi wasn’t accessible

Great B&B near Lake Plitvice

Irene and her husband were terrific hosts. Dinner and breakfast were great, location was excellent - just a few minute drive to the lakes. And the room was absolutely fantastic!

Loved the property and Irene’s amazing cooking!

Irene and her husband are the best hosts!! We loved their hospitality, thoughtfulness, how proactive they are to make sure their guests have a great experience. AND, Irene’s cooking is so phenomenal!! Absolutely have dinner with her! Maybe two! Her food is art and taste with very affordable price! CANNOT recommend enough!

We only stayed for one night :( could easily do two!

Irena and Damir are one of the nicest people we’ve ever seen. The entire estate is perfect and it’s obvious they take care of every little detail. Irene’s cooking is Michelin star worthy and we’ve planned our next visit before we even left.

Great stay! Loved it!

We really loved our stay with Irene, she was such a lovely host, made our stay perfect. The location of the property is excellent if you want to go to the plitviczer lakes or go for hikes in the nearby woods/mountains. Also you can go for a swim in the nearby located river.

Peaceful and accommodating!

Irene was extremely welcoming and accommodating. She really makes you feel at home, or better yet, a secluded cabin in the woods. The location was also very accessible to Plitvice NP. We would gladly book with her again and recommend others to consider staying here too!

The warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, beautiful cooking and excellent location. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we pulled up and were able to really relax, enjoy our vacation and appreciate the excellent accommodation. We wish we could have stayed longer as we would have been able to enjoy the hot tub under the stars, but we ran out of time. So we will need to return for another visit :)
