The cabin was nice and would have been great, but there were a few problems. 1. No Internet-I was told it would be fixed the next day. It never was all week. 2. Had to leave the door open the first day. The door was messed up and the owner would not come until the next day. If we shut the door, we couldn't get in. The owner wasn't concerned and refused to come until the next day. 3. Depending on the time of year, that beautiful lake may be a dried up and almost impossible to get to. We went the first week of April. They drain a lot of the lake in winter. 4.a lot of the outdoor furniture needs replaced. The porch swing was very unsafe. The cabin itself was nice.

The Good: The property is in a very beautiful location. Its out of the way, but the roads going to the property are nice and its easy to reach. Parking is easy and plentiful. The lake is gorgeous, and the dock and walkway going to the lake are easy to access. We had a great time as a family playing pool, ping pong, and video games in the game room. The separate game room is the jewel of the property.
Things You Need to Know: The actual house is rustic and small. The upstairs and downstairs are completely separate living areas, and you cannot access the downstairs without going outside and going down external stairs. This may not sound like an issue, but if you have small kids, they are not going to want to sleep downstairs by themselves because they will feel completely isolated from upstairs. This is something we didn't consider. The furniture downstairs is dated and sparse. The linens and bedding are minimal and the mattresses downstairs are not comfortable. The bathrooms are small, outdated, and in need of a makeover and good cleaning. The bedrooms upstairs are very small, but the beds are large.
Overall, this would be a great place for the right group, like maybe a fishing trip or golfing trip with your buddies or maybe a rustic single family lake trip with a bunch of teens or pre-teens. If you have picky sleepers, folks wanting more interior room and more luxury, or folks wanting a nice cabin experience like in Gatlinburg, then I suggest to keep looking.

Loved the cabin, but it was not very clean

Property was just as listed. We had a great time!

Multi generational trip. Kids loved the game room. Location was good. Cabin could use a little updating especially the bathroom and the lighting. Overall, a good place to stay

We enjoyed everything about this cabin. The simplicity was the best part. Thank you for letting us call it home for a week!!

Great location that was central to activities such as horseback riding, boating, and ziplining. All in our family enjoyed the game room and hot tub area. Furniture was comfortable allowing for down time for reading and relaxing. The back porch had a grand view of the lake. Plenty of towels and the washer and dryer came in handy. Really beautiful and relaxed setting. My only recommendation is to redesign the steps to the dock. Specifically, where the old and new steps meet. They are uneven and did cause a couple of occasions for slips and almost falls.

My husband and I brought our 11 year old daughter, and his father and +1 joined us there. The separate living space downstairs was perfect to give them their space, while they could easily join us for meals. The house was very cozy and had lovely decorations for Christmas. We enjoyed peaceful walks in the quiet With amazing views of the mountains and lakes. A short drive to town, provided shopping, restaurants, and other activities.

I hate leaving bad reviews, so I will only touch on the good parts as this is what made our stay nice! The neighborhood was very quiet and the water did not have a lot of activity which allowed us to enjoy a beautiful view at any time! The beds were comfortable and plenty of throw blankets were provided as the nights were cool. The downstairs AC worked really well! The game room was as advertised and we enjoyed playing pool, video games, and ping pong. The few problems that we had were addressed immediately. The hot tub was usable but needs some serious work. We did read in previous reviews that the dock ladder leading to the water needed repaired...this has been taken care of and in good working order. The dock is beautiful and I see no problem with how it is anchored to the shore. The pavilion is spacious with plenty of seating. It has a charcoal smoker and charcoal grill but no propane so you must provide your own grilling necessities. We found the kitchen well stocked with spices, utensils, foil, ziplock bags, and Kuerig coffee maker. The fridge is in good working order and has an ice machine that provides crushed ice only. Bath, hot tub, and lake towels are provided. Washer and dryer worked well and some detergent was provided to us. The yard was manicured nicely and it was mowed during our stay. Please watch your step just before reaching the dock. There is a "half" step worked in that could cause you to trip down the steps onto the dock.

Very easy to get to. Very quite and relaxing plus spacious. Love this place and look forward to coming again. Game room was very nice and clean didn't get to hot tub my sister and husband did thoe say was great. I give this place a five star.

Cute house could use a little work inside and out. Refrigerator door wont open all the way due to area it sits in is to small. Dry wall repair needs to be completed. Floating dock needs achored better and rigged box with ratchet straps keeping the end floating needs to be fixed and put in the proper location. The water was down alot then it rained all weekend and the dock ended up turning completely sideways my family and i had to fight to get the box out of the mud to straighten it back up the dock anchors are tryi g to come out of the ground when fighting wind and rain it got a bit scary. Lower area of house smelled like.mold. Now to the great parts. Plenty of area for family fun and dinners. Hot tub and gameroom area was amazing. The beds were super comfy. Great distance to fun attractions but far enough away to relax. Would definitely recommend and will probably be back. Neighbors are friendly.

Great way to stay far enough away from Pigeon Forge to relax, detox from the crowds, But close enough to get a piece of all yhe fun. Very gorgeous property, plenty of amenities, and just a wonderful time!

They cabin itself was very nice.. however it's was a little pricey.. we stayed in the middle of Oct and they lake was down about 40-50ft.. so we did not get to enjoy any of the benefits of the lake.. the cabin is almost like 2 separate living quarters.. the top half if the house is 2 bedrooms and a bath.. it's like a full size house. The additional 2 bedrooms are in the basement with another living room and bathroom in which u had to go outside and down some steps to access. I would have preferred having some type of adjoining door so that all of us could have felt like we were staying in the same house. Also, the bottom half was not as kept up as the top.. it does come with a game area with a hot tub, pool table ,darts etc.. it's in a detached building and was a very nice addition to the cabin.. the location is excellent.. it only took us about 20 minutes to get to peogon

This place is beautiful. I loved it and so did all my friends. I would have rated it a 5 on everything however, there are 2 bedrooms rooms and a bathroom that are located in the basement. You must go outside to get to these rooms, I did not see that mentioned in the add. Also, the basement had numerous stained ceiling tiles and smelled of mold. I have asthma and could not stay in the basement. There were a few small things that need taken care of such as holes in the walls that have been repaired but not painted, a table leg in the basement that is being leveled with a piece of wood and a broken electrical outlet in the basement. I know that sounds like a lot but really, its a very nice place, GREAT game room and a very beautiful view. I will stay here again as long as the moldy ceiling tiles in the basement are replaced.

We have rented this house twice now. It has perfect location and the gathering areas and seating are the best we have experienced! Communication with management company is excellent, we had an issue with letting the dock out and they had someone out the very next morning to fix it. My only complaint is the same one as last year, the ladder at the dock is not usable and needs to be replaced but other than that this is a five star lake house! Perfect for family vacations and get togethers! We travel with elderly down to toddlers. Game room is such a bonus and the kids loved playing pool, ping pong and Pac-Man on the arcade size game! This property is my first pick for any future mountain vacations close to gatlinburg, pigeon forge, Asheville nc, or just to enjoy the perfect lake Douglas!

Had an amazing weekend with a group of 7 friends! Everyone had their own space, was nice to have some room to move with the split level! The hot tub was awesome! The view was incredible, even with hardly any water in the lake! Had an issue with the ceilings leaking from all the rain, but they sent someone right over even at night! Very nice to work with! Will definitely be back!

Trim missing everywhere property needs alot of work the fridge sits so close to wall u Cant really open the fridge the locks worked some of the time not all the time the property is 2 different units and the game room with hot tub is in the garage away from the home the doors were not installed correctly and no trim or insulation was around the doors so draft was horrible and the downstairs doesn't have a thermostat so in order for the downstairs to stay at a good temp u have to heat the upstairs so much more the shower downstairs is leaking everywhere so don't set ur clothes outside the shower the nice patio wasn't lit up at all so we didn't enjoy any of that

We had the best time in this cozy cabin! We wish we had more time to stay to enjoy everything it had to offer, but our weekend was short. We will definitely be back!!

Nice place and setting all though the lake was low in water. We enjoyed the game room, and out side camp fire. The house needed a good cleaning in the corners and under bed,and some fixing in the bathroom on the main floor, but over all a nice place.

The property honestly the pics don’t do it justice. Everything was amazing from accommodations themselves to the location to the check in and communication.
We had a variety of ages from 11-51 and all had a great time. Very relaxing and peaceful yet lots to do from sitting overlooking the lake to playing in the game room.
We will definitely return to this particular rental in the future and will recommend to others. Thanks for an enjoyable Fall break!

Wonderful location, close to anything and everything or nothing at all for r&r. Only bad part about our stay was the stairs going down to lower level and further to dock were torn out making it impossible for our elderly parents to have access to the water. I understood as I got immediate response back from management that some unexpected circumstances occurred and had to access utilities to fix. We had to drive my mid 80’s parents to another location to get on our boat but we managed to figure it and work around it. So many outdoor chairs and seating, game room was like an iceberg and well working ac to keep our kids happy. We loved the hot tub and pavilion to hang out. The kitchen had a brand new fridge and there was ample amount of cooking items including several grills to choose from. Clearly can see the owners have spent a lot of money in items and updates recently. Would love to come back when stairs are built. Oh… this is one last thing, it appears the ladder on the dock is put together upside down on the tread part, we could not use because there are only metal tracks to put you feet on that would cut you, think it just needs to be flipped over and would give it a fix.

We had a wonderful time. I would note that the property has had some improvements that are not listed on the listing and pictures that we saw when we booked the place. The top deck is covered which is awesome. Spent a lot of time on that deck in the wonderful chairs and loungers relaxing and reading while the others played in water and the boat. The walk to the dock is different as well with a seating section build-in on the landing. Great parking. We were able to bring our boat and pontoon both. And 2 boat access points close by. I would say that the one just past the house is pretty steep with some deep ruts, but the one a few houses before you get to the house is not so steep and better overall condition. The water is really deep in this area. No wading in the water to be had. Prepare to have life jackets available for not-strong swimmers. But that did make it possible to jump into the water right off the dock. Water was comfortable but you would occasionally get a little cooler wave come in. The location made it great for you didn't have to worry about big boats coming by and making huge waves or people being in the water. Grocery store and a dollar store close. Walmart and to go out to eat you have to head towards Pigeon forge. Recomend check out Forbidden Caverns. It is real close and very interesting for all ages. The house is clean and linens and towels were nice and not castaways you see in some rentals. It is a cozy cabin. No issues with WiFi and had satellite TV. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with essentials. The last few years we have went to the beach and the sand and salt in everything was getting old. This place has sold us on lake life for sure. Thank you for our wonderful stay!!!

Cottage was perfect for us, however there are no interior stairs connecting the main floor to the basement which was kinda weird. This wouldn’t have been an issue, except the only of stairs from the main floor to the basement and the dock were missing a section. The section of stairs had to be removed to install a new septic tank, which is completely understandable except we weren’t given notice. This was an inconvenience all weekend as we were there to use the dock and lake. This honestly put a damper on an otherwise perfect little cottage experience. The property was very accommodating, I just wish the management would have been.
