Great breakfast. Fast service. Everyone friendly6
Internet connection spotty at best. Couldn't get iPad to connect. Gave up trying eventually.
Room was small.

Buffet arrangement for breakfast would have been better instead of ordering

Worth for money.- swimming pool and private parking. Friendly staff and spacious room.
Breakfast was average- hash brown was too crispy and oily, beans was not very tasty. Breakfast could have been better, Television was too small and not much useful. Wifi was slow sometimes. The shower in the room was not hand held and was very small hence not very comfortable
4.3
Lovely clean room and the breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and nice and hot
Maybe looking a little tired and could do with a little more furniture in the lounge

We love it here, so much so this is where we book for our family holiday each year. The staff are friendly and welcoming, you get a lovely tea and scones on your arrival. Everything is always clean, the rooms are good for size. Although the decor is a little dated that is the only thing you could say on it, you couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay. The swimming pool is great, breakfast has a wide variety in the mornings. It is close to the town, beach and quite a few enjoyable attractions. The owners who run the hotel are lovely. Will always return on our Isle of Wight visits. Great value for money.

The hotel was quite spacious and there were a couple of added facilities such as the pool which were a good addition if you wanted to stay in the hotel and not venture out
The hotel was very charming but we feel it could do with an update in certain areas as they looked tired but the hotel was kept very clean!

The staff were so friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. The breakfast was amazing and such good value as it was included in the price. The views were stunning and sitting by the pool of an evening was such a relaxing time in the day.

Very friendly owners and staff. Clean. Great position near cliff top. Quiet. Pleasant garden to sit in. Outdoor pool. Lovely cooked breakfast. Plenty of free parking.
We had a room that was available at the time of booking. We would have preferred a larger, sea-facing room.

Location is excellent just 5 mins from the beach and the pool is a lovely addition . Owners are lovely people very welcoming , and surprised us with a complimentary cream tea! Our room was comfortable and quiet. If u looking for boutique modern interiors then this homely but charming hotel may not be to your taste , but if simple and clean and cosy is our vibe then u will have a very pleasant stay.
Filter coffee was weak. But i am a coffee snob and like mine the strength of rocket fuel.

Friendly, helpful owners and staff. Lovely relaxed environment. Clean and tidy rooms. Pool was great.
Blackout curtains as it was unbearably hot and very light in our room (7)

A full English table served breakfast with multiple options was provided very quickly, even with a full dining room.
We were greeted with a complimentary cream tea by very friendly staff & owners.
As soon as you got your bearings, the hotel was very central to the beach and the town. A very enjoyable comfortable stay at very good value in a delightful period Victorian house.
Unusually, I couldn’t find anything to complain about. It was much better than expected.

The staff were very friendly. We loved the swimming pool and extra facilities like the table tennis and pool tables. The cream tea on arrival was a nice welcome touch. The beds were really comfy and clean.

We had a great break in Shanklin. The hotel is close by to the beach and the town where there are several restaurants. We particularly liked the cream tea on arrival after a long journey. The breakfast was nice and the staff were lovely and could not do enough for us during the stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy so much so it was difficult to get up each morning. The room had lovely views of the countryside and it was nicely decorated. We had a great time in the heated pool, basking in the sun whilst looking at the sea views. It was a great bonus to have a game of table tennis too. We would love to come back.

The owner and staff were so friendly and kind
Only that it was on a hill and without a car it would be difficult for people with mobility issues to explore the area. However, there is a lovely view

We are returners but the room we had was not really up to scratch and some deep cleaning needs to be done. I would wish to return nevertheless but I would want to contact direct to name sure we got a better room. The location, pool and attention to food very good. Staff are sweet.
Our room was cramped, the shower was leaky and to sit on the toilet and access the loo roll was really difficult.

Gill, the manager was very friendly and able to accommodate my request to stay a night longer than I had originally planned.
The cooked breakfast was delicious, and made to accommodate any personal preferences that I had.
There was nothing about the hotel that I did not like.
4.3
Good facilities but the hotel felt rather tired. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast
The bedroom was small and the bathroom even more so with no heating.

A very warm welcome and bonus of cream tea . Staff very attentive throughout and keen to help with issues . Bedroom clean comfortable bed . Breakfast wide choice cooked to order and served in pleasant dining room. Service mainly good. Lovely views from lounge and probably some bedrooms . PLenty of hot water and complimentary shower aids . Courtesy tray well provided Lovely to have access to pool
My bedroom and ensuite needs complete refurbishment outdated . The washbasin in bedroom and very low and the shower and toilet are in en suite area not hygienic or convenient to have both separate even though ensuite very small . needs new ensuite . At present no blind up to window no privacy. No bedside table or light only light main centre one controlled by switch near door could be a potential risk of a fall . There is a small window above door and covered by small curtain but it does not block lights from corridor coming through and they can be very bright . Trailing flexes. Sleep also disturbed by noise from generator for ? swimming pool facilities outside bedroom window . For 3 nights I had to park on the road could be more difficult when high season .The front reception area does not create good impressions it is the smoking area dirty old black wall ashtrays if used and the smell goes back into hotel and smokers can be quite blocking and during my stay there were plenty of smokers perhaps have this area more out of area of first impressions .

If you are looking for designer furniture/bathrooms and an uber-trendy boutique hotel then move on, this isn't for you! The Eastmount knows it's customers and focuses on what REALLY matters to most travellers. First off, it's scrupulously clean - absolutely everywhere. The rooms are traditionally decorated and whilst the furniture/decor might not be new, everything is well maintained, works properly and nothing looks old or tired. The carpets, bedding and thick towels are immaculate and have a quality feel. Beds are really comfortable and the rooms are airy and fresh smelling. 5* hygiene rating for food is not really surprising and the breakfast is generous and high quality - catering for a vegan was no problem either. The public rooms are spacious and nicely furnished with a reasonably priced and well stocked bar. The pleasant garden is very homely feeling and the heated swimming pool looked very clean. What really sets the hotel apart though is the incredible customer service - nothing is too much trouble and everyone really cares about making your stay perfect. Exceptionally good value as well, especially as our two single rooms (18& 19) both had double beds! Free cream tea (and vegan alternative) on arrival was a nice touch. Thanks for making it a very pleasant stay!
You really can't fault it.

We had a very clean room with a view on the swimming pool and the sea.
The breakfast was good. The hotel has a great location, it takes 10mn max by walk to be at the Esplanade and if you don't want to walk you can use the cliff lift (we haven't used it) which is 5mn walk and it goes down to the Esplanade.
Lot of interesting restaurants within few minutes walk.
All very positive and we'll definitely go back there.
-I would say the fact that the breakfast is from 8:30 to 9:30 as I would have preferred it to start early around 7:30 as I like to start my day early when I'm on holiday.
-A little fridge in the room would be useful as we brought our daughter's milk.
-the swimming pool ladders needs to be fixed as were both moving when using them, one especially seemed to almost getting off the paving.
