El lugar es muy bonito, las áreas verdes son muy agradables y están bien cuidadas. Sin duda es un espacio para relajarse tranquilamente del ruido de la ciudad.
El personal muy amable y atento.

The breathtaking views of the lake, pool and gardens with squirrels and lots of birds. Room was big. Breakfast was tasty.
Bathroom could be more spacious.
One of the restaurant staff was probably having a bad day and was rather rude while serving us. We ended up being served by some other staff member who then apologised for her colleague's behaviour.

Beautiful scenery. Great place to enjoy a relaxing time.
We enjoyed the opportunity to get involved and get to know a little bit about the culture of different towns around Lake Atitlan.
We didn't know that transportation and tours have to be paid in cash.
The exchange rate is lower than the official.

While the room was adequate, clean with comfortable beds and good wifi and a comfortable little sitting area in front, what really stood out as exceptional were 1. the large grounds with well maintained gardens and mature trees sloping down to the lake, and 2. the great view and excellent service and high quality food found in their restaurant

A truly comfortable hotel with beautiful gardens on the shores of Lake Atitlan. We stayed two nights and enjoyed sitting in the garden overlooking the pool and lake from the upstairs restaurant. The food was tasty and reasonably priced.
The rooms are comfortable, we had two double beds and the room was ample with plenty of space. The bathrooms had plenty of places to put things and were clean. The outside sitting area in each room is also a nice touch. Be sure to have your room in the main hotel and not the annex, which is overlooking the parking lot.
You can walk to the end of the property and find the pier to book boat trips across the lake or jump on the "collectivo".

I loved the aesthetic of the room and my view every morning. There was an amazing garden that provided itself to the restaurant. The views from the restaurant were so beautiful and all in all it was very relaxing to be away from the busy city and in nature. The staff was also extremely helpful and always ready to accommodate us the best they could. If you are looking to stay away from the city and in a secluded area then this is a great spot especially if you want to experience Lake Atitlan. Keep in mind that this hotel is not near La Aurora Airport or Antigua. It is far so plan accordingly.
While for the most part my stay was great, there were a few things I could point out for improvement. Mainly the food. As a foreigner I would expect to have authentic Guatemalan cuisine but I felt the menu seemed very similar to the food in the USA such as pasta, and steak. The food was not impressive aside from one or two dishes. Since it is located near a lake and I did run into pest issues with roaches and spiders. Be mindful of the hot water, it will run out quickly! There were what sounded like a group of boys that would make a lot of noise and it seemed to be coming from my bathroom window at night which made me slightly uncomfortable.

Everything about Hotel Toliman was perfect. The included breakfast with our stay, the beautiful property, security of the compound; everything was more than satisfactory. Just a short walk away from the shore of Atitlan, having breakfast every morning with the stunning view was unmatched. Aside from the breakfast, the restaurant at the hotel makes some of the freshest, most delicious food I’ve had since coming to Guatemala. If you call them, they even provide room service! The next time I come to atitlan Hotel Toliman will be one of the first places I consider.
I have no complaints!
