Very good location, at the edge of the old town, free car parking nearby, nice and very friendly ouner Stavros (old hippy). Very nice room and hotel- for people, who loves old Greece without plastic and burgers.

Liked the helpful owner and the location in the Old Town.
Exactly what I was expecting quality/price. Bed was comfortable. We had little kitchen which was useful.
It has the charm of an old building but it might benefit of a more modern fitting e.g bigger TV, new beds.
4.5 / 5.0
spacious, clean, quiet; near the attractive Venetian harbour, shops and eateries; friendly helpful staff
if you leave the window open there are mosquitoes, because the windows don’t have a net. So keep windows closed at night, and switch the air conditioning on, and you should be fine.

Very good location in the heart of the old town/ harbour area.
Fairly noisy all night as on main tourist route - our room was at street level with fixed shutters at all windows so no real natural light.

we liked: that it was in the old town of Chania. that our host Stavros was kind and helpful. the terrass was nice and just for us to use. the cleaninglady came three times a weak and did a fine job
we have nothing to complain about

A sharp spring in the mattress ( on the window side) may need attention.

Casa Veneta is in a very handy location and easy to find. Reasonably priced and an historic building. Comfy bed, fluffy towels and toiletries too
Room was spacious but not suitable for more than a few nights. Knew there was no outside space but there was nowhere to dry towels and cossies etc.

The appartment is well equipped the manager really helpful and friendly and the location is great. We had a great time.
Just be prepared for noise at night because of the location and it could do with a bit of an update.

This was simply an amazing hotel!!! The owner is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location, as it is on a side street in the downtown area. We had the room on the very top and had a view on the ocean. The ocean is a 1 min walk away. Anytime I will go to Chania again, I will reside there. 11/10 !!!

Location is amazing. House looks very nice outside and inside the hallway. The owner is local Greek, who was super helpful and extremely kind. He really makes you feel like home and this is exactly what I love when travelling. Not a big investor building a luxurious hotel where you can’t get any tip, but a local families.
well, as in the other comments - it really needs renovation. The furniture is very very old, our bed was very uncomfortable and the doors had a gap. Kitchen also very old. With a small renovation, like buying a good bed would be 10/10.

location was fantastic so close to everything it was a great end to our time on Crete
we liked everything but the accommodation was basic, to be fair it was what we expected the best thing was how accommodating the owner was, how closer it was to everything and the price, so nothing to complain about.

Stavros was very welcoming and very informative both about his property over the years and places of interest in Chania
We will definitely come and stay again as the location was fantastic with amenities close at hand
Thank you Stavros for a great few days

Stavros is the most welcoming and friendly host I've met, it was really nice to meet him, almost like meeting an old friend. We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Veneta!

Casa Veneta was a lovely funky hotel in a great part of town. It was homey and nice to come back to after a day of exploring old town (or hitting the beach). The owner and his son were fantastic and always available for advice. I would absolutely stay here again.
I wish the bed was bigger.

Location is good/convenient.
Shower had little water pressure - showering was very inconvenient
Airconditiner too small for a split level top floor apartment that got heated up during the day. It had to be kept on at maximum strength the whole day so the upper level floor wouldn't be too hot at night. Staff switched off the Airconditiner when I wasn't in my room. The room would take too long to cool down leaving me sleep deprived. Doesn't deserve a 9 rating at all.

Fantastic location with easy access and several parking spots only a short walk away.
