Beautiful relaxing space & enjoyed my first experience in an onsen under the stars. Close walk to the beach & local activities.
It was challenging to find local restaurants in the evening.

Really enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches were delicious, location was great just across the road from a really nice family friendly beach

The location near bus stop and Shirahama beach. Very nice staff, we appreciated the packed breakfast
There's only the beach and a couple of restaurant near the beach. Shimoda, most big center, is 15 minutes by bus.

delicious breakfasts fueled us for the beach! so easy to walk to the beach from here, right in front of a cross walk. ac worked and the fridge in the room froze my ice again. we liked warming up in the onsen after a cold beach morning
everything was great!

The onsens were great and the breakfast was delicious and check out time at 11 was perfect, super close to the beach too which was lovely!

Loved the private onsens and the breakfasts.
Beds and pillows could be more comfortable but they weren't terrible.

The hotel is in a great location, very easy access from public transport, right opposite the beach. The onsen was just enough for a refresh in the morning or a pre-bed soak, no frills, simple and easy to use. Breakfast bag with sandwich, egg, juice, cookie and free flowing coffee was perfect. It was simple, practical, and welcoming. Would stay again.

The two private outdoor hot springs. Guests are able to get a key from the front and use them at any time - really nice to be outside, 2nd Floor at night relaxing in the bath. Great for couples and families with a couple of small children.
It was very close to a couple of good beaches as well.
There was an odd smell in the hallway near our room on the 2nd floor. Not sure what it was but it was there for the time we stayed. The room was a little small.

Very good access to Shirahama beach and bus stop.
The owner couple is very friendly, kind and the breakfast sandwich was amazing!
There are two private open air onsen baths(hot spring bath) and both are surrounded by nature.
Nothing to complain. All good.

the walls were thin and a little noisy at night as sound carried easily but the staff were lovely.
the breakfast was amazing and the staff were so helpful in giving us tips on where to go.
v close to beach and outdoor shower and onsen were perfect
sound carried easily
not many restaurants in area for night

A stone's throw away from the beach. Always my first choice for a beachside weekend getaway. Love it. ☺️

The room we had for 3 nights (4 days’) stay was clean, fully equipped with a fridge, table + chairs, nice comfortable beds, nice window view of the outside (nice lighting).
We had our own restroom + shower/tub in our room which was nice and clean.
WiFi was strong. (Free, of course).
The 1F also has a beautiful “common room” - nice space + layout,- access to free tea/coffee with electric pot containing water.
(If needing the restroom, there is a lovely one on 1F). Very clean.
The smoking area is available outside on 1F, with nice tables + deck chairs.
The couple who run the main building + Annex (where we stayed)- are lovely hosts. They tend to your needs when necessary,- but stay “in the background “,- so you have
privacy, you feel as though you are at home.
Breakfast was prepared in separate bags, so there was no need for concern regarding the risk of COVID.
As advertised, Shirahama Beach is within walking distance, so the outdoor shower outside our accommodation awaited us upon our return from the beach, where we could
wash off the sand.
Family Mart + 7-Eleven are within walking distance, so no need to worry about food + drink.
We will definitely return!

I loved the fact it was very close to the beach, just a few minutes walk.
The place has beautiful and stylish interior. The room was big and clean, the breakfast was good and on top of all that there was an amazing onsen in the place. I Highly recommend, we had a perfect stay.

The staff were lovely and friendly. They made very good efforts to communicate with us in english since our Japanese is terrible and everything was very easy. The egg salad sandwiches they gave us as part of the complimentary breakfast was to die for. The outdoor onsens were nothing short of magical. The room was simple but comfortable, and less than 5 minutes walking from the beach.
4.4
The location is good, close to the beach
The bedroom was small with no furniture, and just a view on a boiler tank for the onsen.
It was overpriced for the facility. The breakfast was minimalist with one toast, one egg, coffee, juice yoghurt and fruits.
It is a small pension with some charm but 22,000 Yen a night is expensive.
