A localização é incrível o quarto que fiquei era confortável pra uma pessoa. Tudo muito limpo e a ducha, apesar de pequena, muito boa. Atendimento de qualidade e sem café da manhã.
Os travesseiros e a cama são de qualidade ruim.

Very basic

Location was great, personnel was really nice, beds were with mattresses with hard springs, so for some good, for others bad. It had air conditioning, shower gels and shampoos, soaps, everything refilled, overall great experience.
Water pressure was a bit low for 4 men, for some, the bed were hard, so they didn't enjoy them. Little place where to hang stuff (so, maybe some coat-racks would be appreciated).

The location was very good. We were just steps away from a vegan ice cream store which was very important to my daughter.
It was a hotel room and with three single beds in it, it was quite crowded.

The hotel needs renovation.
It is a bit old-fashioned but clean.

The location is great. Walking distance to main train station, many rest and the University. Value for money.
I missed having a kettle in the room.

Small but very clean room leading to a wide veranda with a view of the university on the hill; good sizable bathroom; polite and kind owner; strong WiFi; only a few min walk to the Coimbra station and easy to find the property.
not really (cash only but it was ok since I only have a short stay). A small fridge and electronic kettle would be nice, but the room may be too small for that.

The staff was really kind and helpful, the best thing about the place. The parking, although a couple of blocks away, was easy to find and free.
Very basic in general and not worth the 60€ I payed. Wifi not working well. Breakfast was terrible.

great location: right by the train station and no stairs or slope to claim. it has an elevator.
quiet area (except that the room next to me on the second night was very noisy till past midnight)
good value
the host doesn’t speak much English and so it’s hard to get any information. he was a bit cold in the beginning but a very nice person.
rooms are clean but my sheets are a bit smelly (I am very sensitive)

Nice double room with private bathroom, everything spotless, confortable bed. There was even access to a terrace, although it was empty (no table, chairs, etc), but I guess in summer it may be different. Unbeatable location, just in the town center, you can easily get anywhere just 5 min. walking (train station is right on the corner and bus station is about 15-20 min. walking, but the area is safe even if you arrive in the evening). Breakfast is not included, but I recommend to get it! The owner of the hotel is very nice, he gives you a map without asking at check-in. He can tell you many places to eat or visit. I highly recommend!! If I ever go back to Coimbra I probably stay here again :)

We arrived to the hotel earlier to drop off the baggages. We knew that we couldn't get to our rooms until 3pm. But one hour later (at 2) my mom, an old woman, got dizzy and needed urgently to lie down. We went to the hotel and asked to get a little bit earlier or at least to sit down in the waiting area until the room was ready. They say it was impossible, not even to use the couches in the entrance, and that we could leave if we wanted. I ask him if he was really to leave an old woman in the street and he said yes. I scrambled to get a room in an another hotel. When we were about to leave, my mom was waiting sitting down in the stairs outside de hotel, they told us the room were ready and if we cancel we needed to pay for cancellation. So we decided to stay.

Very clean, friendly staff, great location, really good value for money. AC and bathroom fan were effective.
Wifi connection was weak from my room and sometimes it dropped completely. Everything else was reasonable given the price and you should pay more elsewhere if these bother you - TV was small and randomly turned on once each night, the furniture was very basic and there was not much table space, only one chair, and the parking lot was a bit pricey (€10 per day) but the lot was not shady at all as some have said. Windows had only blackout curtains which had to remain closed to block view from neighbouring windows.

Location was perfect for what we were looking for. Walking distance to everything we needed. Host was very good and helpful 😊
We could have used an ice machine. But that was not a big concern.

I've been in Moderna for 2 nights and the room was comfortable, nice and tide. Sr. Alfredo, who was responsible for reception, is a kind man. He gave me nice local tips about where to visit, where to eat. It's a worth money hotel, nice location as well.

The staff was outstanding. It felt more than just a hotel. I felt like I was visiting family. The manager was like a caring uncle. Great suggestions for eating out and sight seeing. Also, I had to print a document and the owner did it for me. Felt amazing.
The pillows are EXTREMELY uncomfortable and the mattress is super hard. Didn't sleep well at all during my stay. Surprised to see that in reviews from 2019 that it was already a constant complaint, yet they have not fixed as of 2022. In addition, the walls are super thin. The next door guest had the TV on for a long time and made it even harder to sleep. The entrance is oddly confusing. It feels you are entering an old office building. Definitely needs to improve. Furthermore, internet connection was terrible. Nearly €80 for two nights with the issues mentioned above is not worth it.

Location is perfect, a few steps from Coimbra local station (not Coimbra B, which is the next stop for a long distance train). The room, shower room, balcony were all brand new and very clean. You cannot imagine from the outside of the building!
I could see the University from my balcony perfectly - photo from my balcony attached.
Alfred spoke very basic English and tried to help me as much as he could. He took me a local canteen just around the corner where I repeatedly visited during my stay in Coimbra.
Basically no complaints.
I might be better if I could have more options for pillows - it was a bit high and hard for me. But it was still ok :)
Half of my floor was under refurbishment. Alfred apologetically informed me at checking in. It was very noisy during the day, but I was out and happy to walk around Coimbra and Roman Ruins. So, it did not affect much :)
