Muchísimo ruido en la calle. A las 8am el hotel puso una musica muy muy fuerte y nos despertó a todo el hotel. Hotel muy muy básico que no merece tener el precio que exigen. No volvería
6.0 / 10.0
Basic, but if you need only a place to sleep it's ok. Bed was comfortable. Area relatively quiet, Nice swimming pool and terrace where guests can sit and chill. And quite good location.
Only 2 sockets in the room and both were taken - one by the fridge and the other by the light. If you want to charge your phone, you must either do it in the dark or have your drinks warm.
Fridge itself is a bit rusty.
No place to hang towels in the bathroom or to put your shower gel while showering. It looks like in the past they had something there, but not anymore.
WiFi is there, but quite slow and not always working. However, you must ask for the password, because the one provided with the QR code in the room is not working.

The view.
The entire hotel was a joke and a scam. We booked for casa Docia and were bumped to a nearby hotel. The front desk staff sent us a welcome email, but never advised us we were being bumped to a terrible hotel next door.
The hotel staff blamed Bookings.com for their mistake.

The staff did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable. the room was clean and the pool area was lovely. The outside of the property is well maintained.
The room was a bit worn if you are particular, though it was still comfortable

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and certainly plan on visiting again. The staff was different from the first time I went (1 year apart), but each time, the staff were all very nice, kind and welcoming. I got there by coach bus, Caribe Tours. If you are from the USA it's similar to the Greyhound buses. Cushioned seating and a bathroom on board. I took this bus from Santo Domingo to Samana which took about 4 hours and cost under 10$. When I got to Samana bus stations (which is the last stop on the bus and right behind the famous colorful houses in Samana) I took a taxi but you can also take a motor. The hotel is about a 5 (or less) min ride from the bus station, and about 20 min or less if you want to walk to the hotel, which Is also doable and safe to do. The hotel is very easy to find. Checking in was very easy and fast. i got a room with a small fridge in it and it was very convenient. I was able to stock it with beer and was able to put in fruits and water. There are many restaurant close to the hotel so you always have different options when getting food. keep in mind they do not provide food here. The pool area was always very clean but inside the pool was always a bit dirty with leaves and such but it was always clean, not sure if that make sense. the hotel description states "private pool", which is technically correct lol. It is not a private pool outside your room but a private pool only for guests and no one from outside can see inside to the pool area. There is a shower and a toilet (both separate) by the pool which is very convenient. My room was on the second floor so I had a nice view. I was able to see the bridge light up, the sun rise and set as well. Housekeeping was very on point and clean towels were always provided daily and when asked for on demand. The ladies at the front desk were always so kind and accommodating. There were also two young men there who were also always very kind.
fridge in the room would start leaking at random times. Room was very dark at night, only a bedside table lamp to light up the whole room. And door leading into the room was very very VERY loud when opening and closing. Other than that, AMAZING stay

The bed was nice and the staff were really helpful. They let us give them our stuff while we went to Salto El Limon so our stuff wouldn't get stolen in the parking area of the hike.
There was no hot water sadly

The location is beautiful, great view of the water and well situated within the city to do some exploring. Parking was ok, you just park on the street and hope for the best. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The walls are very thin and the other guests in the hotel had a party on the shared balcony/terrace area and it kept us up all night. We felt like we stood out in the town in a bad way, there were almost no other tourists and we were constantly targeted with people trying to sell us things, it got really uncomfortable. Would not recommend Samana to stay in, only to maybe visit for a day, go to Las Terrenas instead, we sure wished we did.

Location near city central
There were horrible personal. They charge us 15USD extra and when we pointed out, they refused to return money! Don’t thrust them single word. We have to ask 3x to refill free water and they looked at us like “ How dare you disturb me when I’m on my phone “

The location is amazing, close to the bay and strip with restaurants. View from the balcony was amazing.
Additionally, the stuff was very nice and helpful (they dont speak English, so basic Spanish is needed). The hotel has a great standard and it has it's small pool which is good to relax.
The dont offer breakfasts but every day you can drink a free coffee on the patio and once we had proposed the sugar bread.
The AC was super loud and didn't sound right.

Initially me and my friends were supposed to stay in a different hotel, but we didn't like the location. The taxi driver was very helpful and took us to Casa Docia hotel. It was the best decision! The staff is very professional, helpful and nice. The hotel has location in the centre, swimming polo and comfortable beds:)
Unfortunately we were not lucky with the weather as the hurricaine happened during our stay, brought damages to Dominicana and completely changed our plans.
Even though we enjoyed the stay in the hotel as the staff took care of us and did their best to make it nice. We have many memories and we are grateful for this experience.
Galen, Nelfry y Eliezer - it was a pleasure to meet you and we hope to meet you again.
Saludos,
Dos Magdalenas de Polonia

The location was perfect and close to everything. The staff was helpful and friendly. Coffee is included in the mornings, which was a plus for me.
If you’re looking for a short stay close to town, this place would be ok. The room was small, bare and could use some updating. There was one outlet and one small lamp for lighting. There was no blanket on the bed, just a sheet.

location and outside structure
the room was too small and had some broken amenities as well as very firm bed

Excellent location, fast checkin checkout (late!).
Extrasmall bad for a couple, we could barely sleep that supposed to be the main reason for a hotel.
3.0 / 10.0
Location was very convenient, nice views from patio, coffee and filtered water available. Affordable price.
The room I booked was not the room I was given (given a smaller room) and the front desk worker basically told me it wasn’t his fault and there was nothing he could do, even after showing him my email confirmation and saw other rooms were available - may have been issues between booking platform and hotel but the guest should Not have suffered because of that. There was no hot water and no blankets available for the beds. Very thin walls where you could hear all other guests coming and going from their rooms.

Good pool and location.

Very nice hotel. Situated minutes walk from the boulevard and near restaurants. Owner was nice and helpful. Rooms very spacious and clean.
2.0 / 10.0
The location is good. Right next to ferries and some restaurants nearby.
Almost everything. Rooms are outdated, no hot water in the showers, beds haven't been changed for 20 years, and are really sinking down. overall the place is very neglected and the owner doesn't care at all.
7.0 / 10.0
The location is perfect, in the center of everything. The rooms are exactly what you would expect of a 3 stars-hotel, clean and functional but nothing more. The A/C worked very well. Very friendly staff.
The noise! The room was on the street side and in front of the shared porch, so you could hear all conversations and everything happening on the (very busy) street. The A/C was also exceptionally loud, and the ceiling fan just as much. There's also a school right in front, which means the national anthem would play loudly every week day at 8am.
Most of the staff are unilingual-spanish.
Power outlets are rare and difficult to access.
