So this property is very peaceful. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Upon our arrival there was some confusion with the boat ramp, the water was up so high it was difficult to find but we received assistance within an hour. I’d definitely stay again however there is a few suggestions I would make. The shower upstairs takes about 10-15 minutes to have hot water come, the shower head needs replaced it is not good, not sure what to say about it, the water pressure to it is almost nonexistent as well. The washer knob to select wash is not working properly and the 2nd step going up from the laundry room is loose and needs fixed. There needs to be a loveseat or another couch just because there’s not room for more than 4 people to sit in the living area unless you’re sitting in a dining chair. Again this is little things that can make it better and wouldn’t keep me from returning. It’s an absolute beautiful place. We really enjoyed the convenience of docking the boat and not worrying about putting it in and out.

This cabin was located on a beautiful road just outside of town allowing for some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. The entry way through the laundry room is a little misleading from the pictures but the cabin itself did not disappoint! Everything was clean and stocked well. We even got to watch the tv which is hard to find in the mountains. It has a perfect little balcony to drink your coffee on in the mornings. Made for a great girls trip!

Great location on lake , perfect having boat ramp and the ability to dock our boat just steps from the cabin . Easy enjoyable ride to Gatlinburg. Really enjoyed the stay !

This was our second time at Ruby’s Lake House and hope to come back. Check in and out was incredibly easy. Itrip management is very easy to deal with..all issues were quickly addressed….not that there were any real issues!
The cabin is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

My family loved this lakeside cabin! Very clean and we loved the rustic cabin feel. My wife and I had coffee every morning on the dock..so peaceful. We were dropping our daughter off at UT which is under an hour and an easy drive. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ruby's lakehouse. The location was perfect for us, being able to put our boat in at the house instead of having to go to the marina was so convenient. The house was great. There is only 2 things I would change the master shower is way to small and had no water pressure so I shared the one downstairs with the rest of the family, the bathroom is spacious enough for a bigger shower. The other is the Lakeview, when sitting on the deck outside the living area the gorgeous view is blocked by all the trees. Oh and maybe some more towels and washcloths for those of us who stay a full week. On a positive note the home does have everything you need for your stay it's spacious, location to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg is perfect your not in the hustle and bustle. I definitely would recommend Ruby's lakehouse.
Douglas lake is huge and we stayed during the week of July 4th and it was never congested like most lakes are. Love it!!!

The cabin was great. We had a wonderful time. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the scenery and listening to the birds. We also did many other activities in the pigeon Forge Gatlinburg area. All in all it was a wonderful trip!

We had the best time. The kids enjoyed swimming and fishing. Highly recommend

No hot water in upstairs bathroom but made it work by showering downstairs. Loose second step going into cabin but made sure we were careful. The outside boat dock and having a private boat ramp made it worth it. Would stay again.

Ruby’s Lakehouse was fine and a nice cozy home except for a roof leak that was a stream coming into the landing from the laundry room!! Owners need to gave it repaired.

I enjoyed my stay at Ruby’s Lake House it was nice looking out at the lake and it is very quiet there.

Wonderful weekend trip with my family. Very cozy cabin. We did have a maintenance issue with the upstairs heat not working. Maintenance technician was quick to communicate and help resolve the problem. We’ve rented many places and sometimes issues do arise. It’s always good to have responsible owners and staff in place to resolve those issues. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very cozy, well equipped cabin. Everything you need for a enjoyable vacation. A few minor things….had to sweep the cobwebs from the stairway and deck, poison ivy in yard…
All questions were answered very quickly by management company.

We visit Douglas Lake every summer and stay in different locations to experience different sections of the lake. This was a closer location. The home is very rustic inside, dark (not a lot of lighting) but we enjoyed the cabin. The master bathroom shower is tiny ... good thing we are not large people. Can't move around in that shower. LOL The downstairs bedrooms were warm - ceiling fans would be nice. Kitchen had everything we needed. Gas grill didn't work, didn't have a lighter to light the grill. Loved the lake and this location was not on a HILL. We were happy not having to carry our kayaks up and down a steep hill!

Very nice cabin
Very nice views. Quiet area. Cleaning staff didn’t do a very good job. Some parts of cabin where dirty.

Great Stay
Loved our time here. The boat dock and launch were perfect and close which made getting out on the water quick and easy. The only issue we had was with fruit flies. A call into the property manager helped take care of that along with some vinegar bowls placed throughout. Do be careful as there is a lot of poison ivy around the property. Will stay again.

My family loved this quaint comfy cabin . Surrounded by wildlife, good fishing and great times ! I’d only recommend a minor fix on the guest bedroom electric outlet not working and master toilet handle needs to be tightened . Will be coming back ! Thanks for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home ❤️❤️❤️

This place is the last house on the right in a very quiet neighborhood. I would definitely rent this home again! Morning coffee on the back deck while watching the blue herons make their nest in the pine trees next door. This time of year Douglas Lake is low to out of tower standards but still fishable. I've been coming to this area for years, visiting family and bouncing from cabin to cabin each year. I like how this one is not in bustling Pigeon Forge but still a decent 30 to 45 min drive, depending on the traffic. The squirrel sound you hear (read in a different review) is them running around on the tin roof once in a while. Made our family giggle. If you like peace and quiet, I would definitely recommend this place. Take your time on the road leading to the home and enjoy your surroundings!!

We celebrated our 4 year old’s birthday this weekend with a trip to the Smokies, and this cabin was perfect. The full kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were so comfortable, the space was beautiful, and the view of the lake was stunning.
The weather got nasty and upper elevations got 5 inches of snow, but our location only got a half inch! We weren’t stranded which was so good! It’s a short drive to all the restaurants and fun in Pigeon Forge. I highly recommend this place for your family getaway!

Ruby’s lake house
The view was beautiful, the cabin was nice, but unfortunately we seen a bug in the kitchen and one of the comforters had a huge disgusting stain that looked like blood. We went and purchased our own bedding for our stay and did not eat out of the kitchen.

Beautiful lake view
We loved the beautiful lake view, the family friendly fire pit area and the amenities available. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and more spacious than the photos indicate. The drive to the nearest grocery store only took a few minutes. We were pleasantly surprised at how convenient this cabin is to all of the touristy stuff, yet it is so quiet and peaceful at night. I think the only sounds we heard were owls hooting and an occasional bullfrog. I would recommend this updated, clean and cozy cabin to anyone looking for a great place to get away.
