Hidden little gem beautiful little retreat with fabulous views also a river running at the bottom of the garden.. upside down house which is fabulous, spotless everything you need .. Edwindstow is a lovely village and lots to see close by .

A very clean and extremely well equipped holiday home.
The garden, patio and stream were lovely and the view from this upside down house was delightful.
It was the perfect place for a break with our grown up family.
We upset the neighbour by pulling our car into her garden in error when we first arrived. We were happy parking in the road but we wish we had been clearer about the need to do this.

The property was well equipped and furnished to make you feel very much at home. The outlook across the fields with horses grazing was lovely.
Slightly difficult parking options.

When working away from home there is nothing better than returning to a property that makes you relax as soon as you walk through the door. This place did exactly that. It Exceeded my expectations and was easily one of the best we have stayed at. We have paid more than double on many occasions yet this cottage outshone them all.
Not seeing the kingfisher.

Super well equipped cottage.
Would stay again so that says it all.

There is no parking on the property and the lane is quite busy. Hosts could maybe search for an agreement with the local pub/ restaurant at the end of the lane for a parking spot.

really beautifully decorated, lovely garden and outlook. all the equipment you could need.
lack of parking

Thoughtfully tastefully renovated with love and great attention to detail. A top notch property at the side of the river at a very reasonable price.
Absolutely nothing to fault.
Nothing.

It's the perfect holiday home everything you could need for your stay is thought of and then some. You couldn't call the cottage clean, spotless still doesn't do it justice. There was a lovely welcome hamper in the kitchen with bread crisps biscuits and wine.
Tea, coffee and sugar and milk were provided. Beds were so comfy, restaurants takeaways coffee shops and pubs and shops are just a few minute walk away.
Sherwood visitor centre is a good 15 min walk away as well. And don't forget waking up in the morning to Eddie the Emu just across the stream that runs at the end of the garden. There is so much I am missing out about this fabulous place. For me my family lives in towns on both sides of Edwinstowe so it takes the stress out of family visits. I will be booking every time I visit the uk
I honestly can't find fault.

The property was so well prepared for guests and provided all amenities needed, along with amazing views.
I really enjoyed this property, there is nothing I didn’t like.

I loved the property. I was born and raised in Edwinstowe but have not lived there for 40 years. I live in Florida USA and my sister suddenly passed away and I had to quickly arrange a visit home with my 2 daughters and 5 week old grandson. mill cottage was our home for 11 nights and it was perfect.

The cottage has a lovely feel to it and was very well kitted out. it has lovely views and the water is very relaxing. The beds were some of the comfiest we have stayed in and the owners were very responsive. Close to the village and all the trails.
we accidentally parked on the neighbours drive so perhaps a note about this before we arrived to avoid us upsetting the neighbours.

It was excellent all told but the television needs upgrading, the picture and sound was not very good

This is that rare instance where the reality of the cottage is better than the pictures and the pictures made it look fantastic to start with... Lyn and her husband have created something special with their cottage and I hope to return in the future

A lovely cottage in a quiet location. The cottage was very well supplied with all things necessary for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was easy to use and I found everything I needed. We especially enjoyed the fire and the view from the windows over the fields and the horses. Proximity to Sherwood Forest and some excellent pubs was an important part of our stay and the bus service into Nottingham was very handy.
A very minor point - the surfaces were all covered with ornaments leaving little space for toilet bags, etc.

lovely views and very light property . Felt homely in a good way. Good bathrooms.
Found the TV a bit difficult to see as seating a bit far away, may be due to our age! Found the duvets a bit too warm ,hope there are lighter ones for warmer months. Heating was difficult, I think we accidentally changed the time it was on but no instructions for the controller so had to leave it as was.

The cottage was lovely, exceptionally clean and in a great location for Sherwood forest. We were left a welcome basket which was a very nice additional touch and there were stunning views all around the cottage

Everything. The outside seating areas were an unexpected bonus. Great little spot with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Take-away delivery on hand, and enough books and DVDs to ensure you don't need to open the door if you don't want to!
Nothing!

Great character. Very clean, good views, fantastic bathroom (and convenient en-suite) and a very comfortable lounge area. A generous welcome basket.
Off-road parking would be a bonus.
