A beautiful building and peaceful location surrounded by fruit trees. The bedroom was very comfortable and everything is decorated and furnished to a high quality. Breakfasts in the morning were super tasty and different everyday. I loved that I got to try local cuisine cooked so well!
The location is a quick walk town the hill to the local town Lucea and Watson Taylor Park beach. It was a clean and well looked after beach and you often have the beach to yourself! Staff a the Blue Paloma were always very helpful with advice and booking taxis. We went to a few local restaurants in the evening and you need a taxi or car to get there. Peppe Monte or Reggae Paradise (walkable distance but probably not good journey to walk in the dark). The supermarkets in town have everything you need and the best patty we had was at Juicy Patties!
I definitely think we would have benefitted from having a car as it’s a very quiet place (which was lovely and much needed!) but it’s expensive to get chartered taxis and do excursions. We used local taxis from the depot in town to move around locally like to Negril but the driving was pretty precarious and they do stop a lot but very cheap in comparison. We paid 800 Jamaican dollars to get to Negril and a chartered taxi would be about 60 USD or more.
We loved seeing the authentic Jamaica and getting to know the locals in town. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay.
Towels in the bathrooms are small and it would be good to have a couple, one for hair and one for body but I’m sure if I had asked I would have been given them. A hairdryer in the room would have been good too but again I didn’t ask!
There was a kettle and cups outside the room in the living room area but no coffee or milk was shown to us. Would be a nice extra to have this stocked up for guests for a morning coffee in your room first thing before breakfast.
It might be helpful to have an info sheet in the room regarding booking excursions, local sites etc. but saying this everyone was really helpful and informative when asked and there was also someone to talk to.

Our second stay at Blue Paloma, and the room, breakfasts and pool were as good as before. Andrea and her staff are welcoming and helpful, sometimes sharing the same breakfast table with guests.
All good!

The property was wonderful, with a cool breeze due to its elevated position. The breakfasts were excellent, as were the dinners we had, which were great fun mingling with the other guests and the owners Mark and Andrea. The latter could not be faulted, and helped us on countless occasions (medical, directional and general information).
Having to leave at the end of our stay.

Breakfast was nutritious and filling. It was a balanced diet prepared freshly daily and included fresh fruits and freshly made fruit drinks. It was served in a family type setting and the host had breakfast with me daily. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The host treated me as family and took me to the countryside. I highly recommend this place for relaxation.

Everything. The host and staff were very accommodating. I was treated as family and not as a guest. The host went above and beyond to accommodate and made me comfortable as a solo traveler.

The property was very peaceful and the accommodations was excellent. The beach is within walking distance but if you have a vehicle, you can take a quick ride. The beach is wonderful and clean. I’ve never stayed at a bed and breakfast but I would definitely do it again at this location.
I don’t think there was anything that I didn’t like.

I like how the staff and the Owner made me feel comfortable. Based on my observations all guests were treated respectfully and important. A very friendly and helpful staff. it was like home away from home and i felt very welcomed. I also want applaud them for how accessible and accommodating they try to be for elderly or people with disabilities. My mom was a guest and she is disabled and they were quite accommodating to her needs. I would recommend Blue Paloma to others. Thanks again Andrea, Tanya and all the other staff.
The only issue I had was with the payment system.

Nice and clean hotel, managed by nice and friendly personnel. They agreed to prepare very early breakfast on our departure.
Neighbours were terrible- we couldn't sleep because they were listening to very loud disco music just below our window.
I ordered dinner on our arrival, including 2 small portions for my kids as they don't eat much and I hate wasting food- it was confirmed but they got big portions, charged fully and then wasted most of that.

This B&B is fantastic. The home feels very comfortable. We had a great trip getting to know the staff and other visitors. The chef makes wonderful breakfasts (and optional dinners for extra$). Andrea, the owner, was not present that week, but you can tell that she has worked really hard to develop this amazing business. The staff was very responsive to any of our needs.
If you are staying at the Blue Paloma, you should realize that the town of Lucea is not touristy at all. Even though this is what we were looking for, it was a bit difficult to navigate. We decided to head back to Montego Bay and rent a car, which made things much better. The B&B is a bit of an island (think food, attractions, etc). If you want to hunker down and stay at a high end B&B and just sit by a great pool, it is fantastic. If you are a bit more adventurous, you need to plan on transportation.

Excellent Jamaican breakfast each morning - with variety over the days.
The pool area is so good, you might not want to walk down to the nearest beach!

Friendly helpful staff. Nice pool. Nlgreat to be away from big tourist crowds and experience more of the Jamacian life. We felt very safe at Blue Paloma and walking in the neighbourhood. The little local beach nearby is a bonus.
Loud music playing well into the night and dogs barking and fighting in the middle of the night. Locals put boom boxes on top of their cars and drive around! Too bad there is so much litter on the sides of the road in this lovely country.

The staff were like a family and treated us as family- always wanting the best for us.
One of the outings did not have a fixed price. In the end, we feel we paid too much & would not do this again.

Shout out to Miss Tanya, Mr. Robert and Chef Conroy (honorable mention to Chef Monessa and Arethea). This was my first stay at a Bed and Brreakfast and the bar has been set pretty high. The staff was so attentive and friendly, it truly felt like home away from home. I look forward to returning to Jamaica and Blue Paloma is #1 on the list for my stay.
Conroy prepared a delicious breakfast each morning and a delicious dinner the evening we dined in. Tanya was so welcoming wearing a smile at all times and truly understands customer service.
Staying at a bed and breakfast was a great experience and definitely has value. The Blue Paloma was welcoming and clean. No sleep was lost as the bedding was very comfortable.
Met some wonderful couples from Montreal, Toronto, Jamaica and South Dakota.
That we didn't make time to enjoy a barbecue by the pool.

It is with sad regret that I have to write this review, only because I am leaving today. No that I’ve had a moment of silence, it was so nice to see a place that is EXACTLY what you see in the pics. Although I did not get the opportunity to meet Andrea, she texted me throughout my stay to ensure my stay was going well, which warmed my heart. She has THE BEST staff in Jamaica!! Tanya, Tamara, Conroy, Monessa, and everyone were all so personable and welcoming!! The room was perfect and had all I the accommodations that I needed. I slept like I was in my own bed! Daily room cleaning while I was out was a nice touch after a long day. The food was delicious! Daily 3 course chef’s choice breakfast and 3 course dinner is by request. The pool was sparkling clean!! I got a poolside massage that was the best I have ever experienced!! I could tell that Jodie is a master of her craft.
This was my best vacation ever!! I began planning a girls trip my first day! I will ABSOLUTELY be back here very soon!!

The location was convenient and midway to Negril and Montego Bay. It was easy for hired drivers to find. The house was spacious and well maintained. It was definitely a great value. The private pool was a bonus! Breakfast was a well rounded meal with an abundance of healthy fruit. Dinner was made upon request and special menu requests were honored.
It was walking distance to the beachside but the area was not the tidiest beach. Need to take transportation to nearest clean public beach. There is also an option for day pass at a local resort. Grand Palladium was 10 minutes drive away.

Breakfast was excellent...Thanks Conroy.....
Location was close to town walking distance. But further from Negril than I thought.
The staff was excellent. Tannia, Tamara and Mr. Roberts catered to all our request.

Decor and comfort to a very high standard throughout property
Staff very friendly and efficient- Ms Tania excelled during my stay
Wonderful breakfast - full compliments to Chef

Theg property is very well thought through , given a very local touch and is very well maintained. Andrea, who is the owner has done a fabulous job with both interior and exteriors. the property is very clean, spacious and welcoming.
we enjoyed the stay as the B&B host were very welcoming and made us feel at home. If one is looking for a real feel of Jamica , one needs to look at staying at places such as Blue Paloma. the breakfast is local Jamaican breakfast that is freshly made by the cool very morning with nice fresh juices. The team is very well organized , friendly , accommodative and warm. Our dietary restrictions were noted and food was customized to it. The swimming pool hours were extended for us. we were offered fresh coconut water and also the seasonal drinks. The host had family visiting for the holidays and the family members were very welcoming and we felt like we were part of the family during our stay.
Overall, this is a fabulous place and I look forward to staying here again on my next visit. thanks to Andrea, Mark and the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable.
