This apartment is so, so beautiful! It's even nicer than it looks in the pictures. My family and I had a wonderful time. Check in and out was very easy. I would definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

This place was everything it was advertised to be and more. The owner, Mr. Donohue was attentive and helpful and very gracious toward us. The house was well appointed and perfect for our needs. We just left today and my daughter told me several times that she misses “the house.” We will definitely be back.

This unit was beautifully appointed, spacious while at the same time cozy. We spent the two weeks of Christmas and New Years there and decorated with lights and stockings and even a tree. The gas fireplaces in master bed and living area added perfect ambiance. We had a Christmas Eve celebration for 9 of us, then walked the beautifully decorated streets of historic downtown to a local restaurant for dinner. It was an idyllic Christmas in

We really felt lucky to find this, and then when we arrived and saw the space in person we were very happy. It's really well done and set up in such a way that you can really have a special evening at home. The host is very responsive and nice to work with. If/When I stay in New Bedford, I will always check to book this spot first.

This property is luxurious right down to the baby grand piano (which my musician family member made use of) and the comfy 4-poster be. The kitchen is well equipped and open. We were walking distance to several good restaurants and historic sites and the ferry. Just one tiny quibble: there was no soap of any kind in the bathroom for the shower.

We came up to New Bedford to attend a wedding and needed a place to stay. Rather than book a couple of rooms at the local Mariott, cookie cutter hotel, we came across Dave's listing on VRBO. From the pictures and descriptions it sounded like the ideal place to stay, and it was! The apartment loft is stunning and huge in square footage. Very homey and at the same time, nostalgic to an era gone pass. The ammenities were great, too. Really appreciated the ample supply of K-Cups that Dave provided. New Bedford is a cool town to visit. Lot's of history and uniqueness that you only find in these older New England towns. There, however, is no elevator to get to the loft apartment however the stairs are easily navigated. Really enjoyed our time at Dave's place. Highly recommended if you're looking for a wonderful place to stay.

Amazing space and great home base for exploring the coast
The pictures online can't really capture how unique and cool the space is. Everything from the decor to the bedding had the same attention to detail.
There is plenty of room for a family to spread out as the 2nd room is in a hallway separate from the main room and master bedroom. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and we took advantage of the Market Basket grocery to get supplies for meals and picnic lunches.
There is a port with ferries that run to Martha's Vinyard, the Cape etc.,.. We had a car so for our short visit we just drove over to the Cape and explored that way. The farthest point - Provincetown was about 1 hr 40 min, the S.Cape was 30 min. You could also go the other direction to Portland RI in 30 min.
The location is urban and within walking distance of an up and coming "hip" area with several restaurants etc.,. and a nearby parking spot is provided. We also took advantage of the Dunkin Donuts across the street! Just a note that there is also a bus terminal nearby and the typical urban cross-section of people (from homeless to hipster).
I would definitely recommend this as a great home base for a couple or a family with older children. Probably not so suited for babies, toddlers or persons who have issues with stairs (the penthouse is 3 flights up).
David was super helpful and quick to respond to VM or text messages.
We hope to return soon!
