About this cottage rental
If you grew up experiencing summers on the Maine coast, our cottage will bring you back in time. Our cottage offers a million dollar view of Orrs and Bailey Islands cribstone bridge and access to one of Maine's most unique beaches (Stovers Point Beach). Our family cottage has been updated with running water (hot and cold), a half bath (toilet and sink NOTE: accessed on the deck - not in the cottage) and an outdoor shower. The camp has a good sized eat in kitchen with brand new gas cooking stove, microwave and medium sized refrigerator/freezer. A nice sized living room with Smart TV and two adjacent bedrooms (one single, one full sized bed).
Adjacent to the cottage (a few steps from the deck) is a bunk house with a queen sized bed and Smart TV.
There are window AC units in living room and bunkhouse.

This camp is adorable, comfortable, clean and is in a great location for access to Stover's Cove and all of Harpswell. The host was easy to contact and gave lots of good information about the camp and exactly what to expect. I loved the outdoor shower, the decor and the outside deck/sitting area. A nice spot to stay for vacation or a few days away. I would happily stay here again.

We loved this cottage! Rachel was a great communicator, answering all our questions promptly and making check in/out a breeze. The cottage was even more spacious and comfortable than we expected. Amazing views from the deck, plenty of lawn space to relax or play outdoor games, quiet neighborhood, and just a short walk to the beach! Very dog-friendly spot with plenty of beaches and trails to enjoy with our pup. Highly recommend, and we hope to be back in the future!

We had an amazing stay at Rachelâs cottage. The location was perfect and the view of Baileys Island bridge was perfect. We especially liked the outdoor shower as it gave a very camp feel- bed in the bunk house was comfortable. Would recommend and stay here again. Host was very quick to communicate with. Thank you for a great stay!

This âcampâ was exactly as described. Itâs so quaint, comfortable, and picturesque. The location is beautiful with direct views of the Cribstone bridge and easy access to the beach. The bathroom and shower are located outside/across the deck as described, but you know that when youâre booking it. Rachel makes sure to let everyone know what to expect. The shower was actually quite peaceful and fun to be outside. The beds were comfortable and the bunkhouse is perfect for older kids or another couple. We stayed with our two smaller kids and dog. It has everything you need, plus accessories for the beach. Great stay.

My family of 4 and our little dog had a fun, relaxing vacation at Rachel's place in Harpswell. It was so nice to take a break from the city to play indoor and outdoor games, look for rocks and shells at the beach just a short walk away, and enjoy local treats like Pammy's Ice Cream Parlor. There were quite a few board games and outdoor lawn games provided that we took advantage of. The shower on the deck was refreshing and the bunk house was a great addition and provided 3 comfortable bedrooms four our family. Definitely recommend!

If you love Harpswell and it's surroundings, this camp is very good choice. Safe quiet and confortable place to spend vacation with a 3 year's old. Stover's Point and Pott's Point near by. The weather was not great but we did enjoy a few meals on the cute small terrasse. The BBQ cleanliness could have been better or with adequate tools to remove grease from the grill.

This was a great property with a wonderful owner. Loved the house-fully stocked. Outdoor shower was fun and the bunkhouse was as cute as can be. I can't wait to go back! Pammy's Icecream makes you feel like they have known you forever and we took an amazing sunset sailboat ride on the schooner Alert. Bethany, Perry, and Dylan were first class! Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens were beautiful. Rachel, thank you for everything. You went over and above.

The property is easy to find. Very clean and had all the necessities. Quick walk to the beach for kids to swim and look for shells and hermit crabs. The games especially croquet were a hit.

We loved last year's stay so much we returned this year. The camp and Harpswell area is wonderful for our two kids, 4 and 7, who spend all day exploring the tidepools at all the preserves. We saw a ton of wildlife, including bald eagles and seals, right from Stovers Pt. The camp is as sweet as ever, and upgrades like the deck improve the experience without doing anything to change its personality as a real family home. Rachel makes everything easy and is a wonderful host.

We loved our trip to Maine, such a beautiful state with something for everyone. Our stay at the cottage was wonderful. Cute and homey. If you are looking for flashy and extravagant, this is probably not for you, but the photos are very accurate, and in a lot of ways this place impressed me and my family more than I expected! If you're looking for relaxed, and low key- this place is definitely the one! 5 minute walk down to the beach area, but even from the cottage there's an excellent view of the ocean. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, and the cute little bunkhouse. The little "extras" included by the host such as condiments in the fridge and other kitchen items, dog basket full of toys and food/water bowls, charging cables for phones or other devices, board games for families etc. were all pleasant surprises. The host was very communicative, and checked in regularly. Be sure to check out Erica's for a great little seafood shack on the water, and Pammy's for ice cream and other treats, as they are both pretty close by. Bigger towns with grocery stores, Walmart, restaurants etc. about 20 minutes away, but we really enjoyed the small local spots in Harpswell the most. We had such a great experience that we'd highly consider coming back again in the future!

Perfect Maine Getaway
Harpswell is an idyllic coastal Maine spot, and this property is the ideal home base to explore it all. Rachel was a phenomenal host and went above and beyond to answer our questions, tell us the amazing family history of this property, and give us recommendations. The property is exactly as listed - zero surprises. The outdoor shower was charming and even our 11-year-old loved it. We cooked breakfast in the cabin each morning, and ate out for the rest of our meals. Ericaâs lobster rolls were superb, the Dolphin was delicious, and going to Cookâs is worth it, if not just for the drive over the bridge that you can see from the cabin. Rachel suggested Popham Beach State Park, which was about an hour away and totally worth the drive. We canât wait to visit Maine again and stay at the cabin!

A very nice little Maine âcampâ
Our host was very careful to tell us all about the place beforehand. So we were well prepared for the bunkhouse and the outdoor shower. We rather enjoyed both. AND the cool weather.

The perfect relaxing getaway
The cozy cottage was clean, well equipped and had a great view. We loved the outdoor shower. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and an easy walk to a beautiful beach. Harpswell has so many walking trails, we recommend Bailey island-Giant's Stairs Trail- a stunning easy hike. Some other favorite spots were Pammy's Ice Cream Parlor and casual dining at Erica's Seafood. Rachel was a wonderful and responsive host. We would love to return to this relaxing camp.

A quaint little cottage with amazing views
We just spent 6 days in this adorable little cottage. Weâve vacation in this area for many years and this location was by far one of the best. We truly enjoyed the outdoor shower, beds were very comfortable. The cottage was clean and neat. I loved the vintage photos that were in the cottage. I would highly recommend staying here. Rachel, the host was quick to get back to us, with any questions we had. Also checkout all the hiking trails. There are so many to choose from!
Thank you making our vacation wonderful. Tammy, Steve, Sean and the pups, Atticus and Gracie!

Beautiful Harpswell!
We had a wonderful experience staying at the lovely camp at Stoverâs Point. The walk to the beach is short and the beach is beautiful. Just down the road is Pottâs Point. A very short drive -and like Stoverâs - a great place to explore.
Some of the restaurants had closed for the season on Baileyâs Island - but in Harpswell, The Dolphin, Ericaâs, Uncle Peteâs and Pammyâs Ice Cream were all open and were all excellent and all very close by. We capped off the week with a sunset sail on the Schooner Alert and it was picture perfect.
The camp was perfect. Perfectly clean and comfortable. Air conditioning when the heat and humidity were high, and the shower with hot water on the deck was a fun experience for all of us. Even on a couple cooler mornings!
Rachel did a tremendous job communicating with us - informing us of all we needed to know about the house and the Harpswell area and checking in with us to make sure things were well.
The West Harpswell Baptist Church warmly welcomed us and is a great place to get to know the local folks.
We canât wait to return!

Classic, lovely beach home
We had a wonderful family vacation in what was clearly a beloved family home. Rachel was a helpful and communicative host. The Harpswell location was unbeatable - great neighborhood, an easy roll down to the beach. Our kids loved biking down to Stovers Point and from Pammy's Ice Cream down to the beach at Mitchell Field and spent hours exploring the beach and tidepools at both locations. Excellent restaurant takeout nearby. Comfortable beds, great deck for outdoor activities, nice kitchen, just a sweet place to spend a week.

Magical Stovers Camp
Our family of four LOVED this property. We found having a separate bunkhouse allowed for privacy for the occasional, unavoidable conference call, and it kept our early risers from waking our later sleepers. We found the property to be stocked with everything we couldâve needed to cook multiple meals. We also enjoyed the lawn and board games kept onsite.
We knew the outdoor shower would be fun for our kids, but we were surprised at how much we enjoyed it ourselves. Thereâs nothing quite like a hot shower with the cool bay breeze blowing through the trees! The half bath is not accessible through the house, but even on a rainy night we found it was no trouble to throw on a rain jacket for a quick run across the deck. It brought back memories of summer camp in the best possible way!
Our host was incredibly helpful and gracious. She provided many excellent recommendations and answered all our many questions. The home is filled with family pictures and mementos, and we truly felt like we were being welcomed into someoneâs family home.
All in all, we found the property to be perfect for our needs, and we are planning to stay there again next summer. We also LOVED Harpswell and found the locals to be sweet and welcoming. The property is just a short drive from the many the local hiking trails. We truly lucked out with our short walk down to the beach, and we spent many hours looking for shells, rocks, and wading through the warm salt marsh. Our stay was truly magical, and we canât wait to return.

Quaint, close to beach!
Very happy with our recent stay! Rachel is very thorough with explaining the details of this property so there are no surprises upon arrival. Let me tell you we had friends nearby and they were all VERY envious of our air conditioning during the brutal heat (and jealous of our gorgeous views). The house has WIFI which was an awesome perk in an area that has less than great cell service. We streamed Disney Plus from our personal account which was perfect for the kids. Linens were all provided which made things so easy and the beds were COMFY with great pillows (better than the Hilton!). The location is walking distance or a short drive to the beach. We drove our truck right on the beach, so fun! The cottage has everything you need. We look forward to staying here again.
