All in all, an “okay” stay. Grabbed some groceries to grill food for dinner. Propane tank was empty so we needed to change gears. Phoned the management company, and unless you are fluent in 7 different languages, good luck understanding their English. Never got a propane tank from them during our stay. Additionally, the washer was leaking water all over the floor. Without pulling the unit out, I could not figure out where the leak was coming from. That issue also did not get fixed from the management company. On our checkout day, we phoned the management company once again and asked if they’d extend our checkout time by 1 hour…. We were told that late checkouts weren’t allowed. The house itself was great, but their management company could use some improvement!

Close to all the activities around Whittier and Portage. Cute breakfast and lunch places close by the home. Easy check in and check out. House has everything you need but your food and personal items.

Great location, tastefully appointed, and friendly management. However, it was not very clean. Stained carpets and clearly unwashed bedding and floors. The water pressure was very low. It also is not good for the elderly, disabled, or very young children — due to the spiral stairs.
Overall we would stay again — if they have a new cleaning team.

Absolutely lovely cabin tucked away in a very scenic location with access to everything one would require during a cabin retreat. I am an avid snowboarder and this cabin offered an affordable accommodation at one of the best snowboarding areas Alaska has to offer in Girdwood. Super clean and is full of a myriad of commodities! I will most definitely be staying again!

We loved the location of the cabin. The views from the living room were spectacular. Upon arrival everything was great until we needed dishes and went to bed. Dishes were very dirty and the bed sheets were clearly not washed. Body hairs were on the sheets and they didn’t smell clean. Nothing like being tired and having to wash all of the sheets. We were just going to grab a blanket off of the shelf but all of those were balled up and put on the shelf and not even folded. Again, probably not clean. We did find underwear under one of the beds which was gross but thankfully we looked past all of that to enjoy our stay.

We loved it! Especially the porch with Mountain View’s. Only improvement could have been the water pressure and amount of hot water, but other than that, everything was great! Thank you!

Great house/location/comfortable! Kitchen and laundry had all conveniences. Water tastes great! Beds comfortable. The only reason 4/5 instead of 5/5 is the very low shower flow, especially in the downstairs shower and the floors / rugs could use a good vacuuming/cleaning as it is a dog friendly house - our sole allergy sufferer suffered a bit from dander/dust.

This was such a perfect rental! Exactly as advertised and even better! Super clean, everything you could need including laundry, plates and bowls and cooking wear, a pullout couch bed, two bedrooms too bathrooms and just amazing!

Beautiful chalet… many amenities… loved dog friendly/ organized/ lovely decks, Mountain View’s, trees, privacy, well appointed and efficient. Exceeded our expectations. Parking for two vehicles great plus/ warm and inviting . Close to slopes. We are Soldotna, AK residents and very happy to find this jewel 1 1/2 hour from home. Hope to return again in future, with more time to enjoy the beauty. Would not recommend upstairs unit for mobile impaired/ young children, as spiral stairs narrow/steep, but was perfect for us.

I would’ve given 5 stars but the washing machine was very broken and we were not informed about it before our trip. Traveling with a toddler can be challenging so I try to book places that have a washer/dryer and I was pretty disappointed that we weren’t able to use the one at this place (I had to do some laundry by hand in the sink). Otherwise the place was great. Very cozy and we loved the location.

Lovely place the only problems we had was there was no coffee or tea supplies and when leaving we were asked to take garbage and drop off at dump box outside their office but no code was supplied for the lock so had to drive with garbage.

The house has great views and is well-equipped. Beds and linens were quite comfortable. Girdwood is a great place to stay - close to many things to do plus good restaurants nearby.

Some dishes were dirty but the overall cleaning was good. Could use blinds downstairs to hep keep the midnight sun from shining in the bedroom upstairs (no door). But overall we enjoyed the stay and would go back. The view from the deck was beautiful.

There are 2 rooms one of which, as shown in the picture, has access via a stair which is a little tight. Very cute indeed and I would recommend it with no esitation.
