Rip Off Disgusting

Nothing to brag about

We had booked for 4 rooms for 2 nights but were only provided 2 rooms. No communication with the owner/management apart from the initial code to gain entry. Kitchen was filthy and burnt smell lingered in the air. Dirty dishes in the sink. Dirty dining tables and counter. Clothes drying on the bathroom heater. Dirty bathroom sinks. Beds were okay but the carpets were filthy and dirty. Stains covered carpets. Have raised a dispute Need refunds for the 2 rooms which were never provided but full payment was taken.

Horrible. I couldn’t wait to leave. Prior to arriving, I emailed and called the owner several times as I didn’t know how

The bed was comfortable

The shower tray was so disgusting I had to wash for the two nights I was there. The wide screen TV is the size of a postage stamp. The bedroom had a lot of dust behind the door. The curtains had been hung up without being ironed

Book room, owner refuses access, rents it out to someone else.

Location is good, just was not allowed to use the room I paid for. Owner rented it out on AIR BNB. So first come first served. The AIR BNB guy got there first. Still at least I WILL NOT get my money back. Read the reviews. Owner left one guy sleeping in his car. Customer service inhumane.

Check in July 03, for a 24 night stay. I had to go elsewhere on business for 4 nights, came back July 07 couldn’t access property as the owner had let the room out via AIR BNB. There was actually someone else in my room. July 11, owner cancelled my reservation no compensation and the room is being used by others. Attached photo on my arrival back to my room. Someone else is using it.

Description of this property on booking.com is inaccurate and misleading. It is a small room with a very uncomfortable double bed and a shower with a plug hole that blocks up. There is a shared kitchen area with a freezer that is frosted up and a non-working tumble dryer - clearly no regular cleaning/maintenance. The outside is completely overgrown and the front door sticks badly.

Pleasant stay at the Townhouse in Peggs Way, Basingstoke.

I liked the location. Kitchen was nice with everything provided. Place was clean when we arrived. Room and public areas were comfortable and temperature maintained in spite of the the freezing weather outside.

No comment, as we enjoyed our short stay.

Bed was broken, several previous guests had mentioned this but owner has done nothing about it. Mattress and pillows are well used, window locking mechanism in bathroom is broken, radiator in bathroom is brown with rust.

A nice, comfortable flat. The kitchen description is misleading. Good value for money.

The flat was very nice and comfortable. It is within easy walking distance of the hospital if that's your reason for staying here.

The room is on the second floor. The "private kitchen" is actually a shared kitchen on the ground floor. Not ideal. We ate late and had the kitchen to ourselves. No hot drink in the room unless you carry it up two floors. We expected someone to actually let us into the flat but instructions are sent by email. That's fine if you know to look out for an email. We didn't. We had difficulty finding number 52a. Pegg's Way seemed to stop at number 39 but , in fact, Pegg's Way continues after a short link road.

I would change the wording that advertises this property. We did not know that this was a house share situation. It does not clearly state this. Unfortunately this did not meet our needs and we had to leave on the first day - the owner never got back to my emails or messages and so I lost all that money.

I loved it.

Everything. very organised and tidy. The glass house lounge was very nice for summer relaxing if you don’t fancy going out. it was super comfy for me and my husband. Had all I need to keep us comfortable

I had just 1 bedsheet for the whole 2weeks, I requested for another one but got no response.

It was like a shared house and my door didn't lock. The kitchen was a little untidy and noisy in the morning.

Terribly bad experience.

Location was excellent for me as it is close to the hospital.

The kind of customer service given to me was completely bad and inhuman. My first day I was denied access to the room and i slept outside in the cold. No refund or any consideration of empathy. Really terrible. Telephone line was completely in voicemail, messages was never replied till 7am the next day. The email sent to me failed to give adequate information about room number and key code. Was only corrected day2 after prolong argument. Something really need to be made right there.

False advertising is against the law so I’m surprised to find that this advert is allowed on Booking

The advert for this property is very misleading. Adverts say you will have use of a private kitchen and lounge and yet these are shared spaces. This is false advertising.

The fact that I had to share the kitchen and lounge with other users when the advert said these are private.
