UPON ARRIVAL
- Arrived after dark. Poor lighting in general and unit signage lighting was very poor. Had to get out of car to see what the signs said.
- Very slick in parking area and walkway. No sand or anything for grip. Almost fell several times.
- Location description does not describe the stairs that are required to access the unit. Having large ski bags on slick walkways with surprising steps was no joy. Further, lighting along the walkway is meek.
- No light at the top of the stairs to the unit. Very difficult to see the combination. Further, the description provided by Vacasa is incorrect for how to open the lockbox. Fortunately, we have a similar lockbox.
- The TV operation was complex. We NEVER figured out how to use it, which was extremely disappointing. The scribbled notes within the cupboard were indecipherable. NEED instructions!
- Place is dated and needs a refresh.
- Typically we find directions, maps, things to do, etc. around the unit (especially at a resort). Nothing was provided and we were challenged to discover restaurants in the dark the first night.
NOTE FROM VACASA:
- Vacas did respond to my note asking for help (slick conditions, tv operations, etc.). The following day i received an email apologizing, but no actions were taken to address anything. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!
DEPARTURE
- No check-out procedure was provided. You would think a management company would provide such.
POSITIVE
- close to resort!

The condo was nice, but the Vacasa management was bad. The sofa bed had dirty sheets still on it, and there were no clean sheets in the condo. We didn't discover this until after dinner, and Vacasa didn't provide new sheets until the next afternoon.
4.3
Truly a ski in, ski out condo. It also had an easy 5 minute walk into the village.
4.3
The location is perfect!!! Loved how easy it was to get on and off the mountain! Cute cabin feel. Few updates would be nice but overall a well taken care of sweet place!
4.3
Hard to beat the location as you just cross the parking lot and can board down to the Beach area next to the Gondola. The condo is simple with no frills but it has all the basics for a small family. The bedroom is a bit tight with the bed dominating the space but the bed was comfortable enough. Some spots, like the shower, were dated but everything worked. We did have some minor housekeeping issues but the management company, Vacasa, was very quick to respond and had good follow up. They communicated with the local team and everything was resolved efficiently. Well managed property.

Will not stay here or with Vacasa ever again . The bathroom was not cleaned when we arrived and no one was willing to clean
There was hair and mucus in the shower drain and the tub was dirty . The four of us couldn’t shower or bathe. Host was unwilling to clean but offered $10 off the $350 charge ., what a joke
4.3
The ad is misleading. The spa and gym are shared as they are part of the community HOA but they neglect to tell you is there is a $10/pp charge per day to use them. For our group of 4, that added $40/night to our rental cost.
I tried to get a refund is this amount over the course of our stay but Vacasa refused. This was false advertising and VRBO was unhelpful in getting this resolved as all they did was put me back in touch with Vacasa and then Vacasa ghosted me.

It was lovely, I just wish they were clear about where the club house was and the amenities it offered. We never found it.

We were in the area for a weekend wedding. The condo was comfortable, convenient and clean. Good location walking distance to village restaurants and shops.

It's 5 mins walking to the northstart village center. The room are very clean and comfortable. It's a excellent place to stay if you love ski or mountain biking.
4.3
We very much enjoyed our four nights at this condo. We have stayed in multiple condos and homes in and around Northstar, and it's really hard to top this one's location. Being able to grab your gear, walk a few steps, and ski a few feet down to the Gondola or Village lift is hard to beat. It's incredibly easy to walk down the end of Village Run to the village as well. We cooked in the kitchen, which is reasonably well appointed (terrible knives notwithstanding), and took advantage of the free laundry just upstairs from this unit. The bed is very comfortable, and our daughter had no complaints about the pullout sleeper sofa. That said, the furniture is decades old and could use a refresh, as could the TV setup. The internet, at least for us, was barely usable much of the time. So, if you're thinking of trying to do video calls for work, this unit is not for you. We could barely stream music, which has not been an issue at other condos and homes in the Northstar complex. Further, we never interacted with an actual human. We had a couple of questions about check-in and amenities that were never answered; we only ever received automated messages. Better comms, better internet/tech, and better furniture would make this a amazing experience, but we would still stay here again even with these limitations.

The location was great and the condo was very nice. There was no instruction book for the amenities, wifi, and shared pool/hot tub. For the price of the condo it would have been nice to have some salt, pepper, and cooking oil. The extra blankets provided were very stiff and not comfortable. I would stay at the location again.

I am extremely disappointed in the checkout day parking situation. I expected to be able to remain in my parking spot for the day of checkout but instead the parking passes needed to be returned to the unit by 10am checkout! One of the main reasons you pay to stay on snow is to be on snow for your whole trip! But instead of spending the last day of my trip on the mountain with my family I was stuck in a car with a screaming baby while the rest of my family took a few last runs. Not a great way to end a holiday. Please please fix the parking pass situation so you can remain parked for your last day!!!!! I feel robbed!!!
The rest of the stay was nice. The unit was as described, clean and comfortable. Short walk with stairs to the parking lot. 5-10min walk to the village. Ski off the trail straight into the parking area, so great! Will definitely stay again if they can fix the parking situation.

Great property.

Property was stocked with all the kitchen appliances, cutlery, etc. that I needed to cook for 2 people during my stay, which was awesome! TV remotes were a little difficult to figure out at first (I consider myself a tech-savvy 33 year old and even I was struggling to understand which remote operated which device), but my partner and I eventually figured it out by the 2nd night/2nd attempt at watching TV lol. Ski locker at the bottom of the staircase was a huge plus, same with having a coat rack at the entrance. Small things like that had a huge positive impact on our trip. Proximity to ski trails and the village were also a huge plus - with the exception of 1 grocery trip, we seldom needed to use the car during our stay because everything was within walking/skiing distance.
Two small complaints: the parking pass wasn't inside the apartment when we arrived, but support was quick to send someone out when we noticed it and requested it (same day delivery). We weren't too worried about getting towed/ticketed since we arrived during the first large winter storm of the season, but that sliver of doubt was still in our minds.
Second complaint is that the door lock is kind of finnicky. During the first 2 days, it would take us a few attempts to input the door code. We were either inputting the code too slow or too fast. In any case we found the rhythm by day 3 and didn't experience any further issues with it.
Overall, 10/10 would recommend.

Loved every moment and can’t wait to return! My second time staying here and I haven’t been let down yet. The accommodations and customer support were “spot on!

This unit is a tiny 1BR unit that is a little dated but comfortable and an unbeatable location mere steps from the run under the gondola and Northstar Village. Could use some updates but tough to beat the location for the price for one couple.
